I have had my '02 base 6 speed manual Carrera Coupe for about 5 years. It was a car I had checked out, but my wife bought for my 50th. I love the car. I do some "spirited drives" with a great group of folks early Sunday mornings (when the back roads are pretty empty). The car is just a blast to drive hard. I have never come close to finding its limits in terms of cornering. It can be driven quite sedately if you keep it under about 4,000 RPMs. Fine around town. Stop and go traffic is obviously a pain with any manual car, but the clutch is a little stiffer than, say, a Honda. Road trips are fine if you can fit, and it's a bit noisy on the highway from tire noise. I was interested in the 911 over a used Cayman (or Miata, etc.) because I can put my kids in the back (they are 4 and 7, and they LOVE pulling "g-forces" The main downside is this is a 22 year old car with a list of things that really need to be replaced. Not because they are broken, but just standard maintenance. I need a transmission rebuild to fix an occasional issue with 2nd gear. Rear main seal. Check the IMS bearing. Water pump. Then the suspension and engine mounts probably need to be gone over. All this is probably $12,000-$15,000. Bottom line, these 996 911s can be had for mid-20's, but it's still a Porsche. You don't get Honda-priced parts when you need to replace something.

I like checking everything myself. Asked to lift the car - no problem. We inspected together. That builds trust.

One of the most fun cars I have ever driven. The acceleration and handling are on another level than the X5M or X3M. It’s also practical and looks extremely sharp. Infotainment could be better - the PDK is lightening fast though. Exhaust tone is amazing. I can go on and on.

These cars are very unique and getting more rare. Fun to drive especially the manual trans. Be sure to get a PPI if you are looking to buy. Good service and upkeep is a must and will cost $1500. -2000 per year. Higher in years when you have timing belt, tires , brakes , etc. Parts are pricey and you need a shop that has experience with this era of Porsche. But definitely worth it!

This car has been maligned as having reliability issues due to IMS issues and bore scoring. From what I can gather, bore scoring occurs from improper maintenance and driving beyond 7200 rpm. Maybe I am wrong as I am no mechanic--far from it. If you know the car has a good history as did mine, with one owner and regular oil changes and dealer inspections, it is hard to go wrong. I did a PPI with an independent mechanic and as far as he could see past the spark plugs he found no issues and no leaks or evidence of same on the underside. Every time I drive this car I have a smile on my face. What is that worth?

I have owned the car for nearly 6 yrs, and it previously was owned by the Porsche dealer's owner, so I knew it was well taken care of for the 13000 miles on it before I bought it. I have put on 62K miles and have had relatively few problems, nothing major. Normal maintenance and expenses are not cheap, but love the feel and looks of the car. Previously only owned 2 door Porsches and never thought I would buy a 4 door. Glad I got the car.

Where do I start? I needed a 2nd car and already had 1 open loan. Enters Avi, my sales consultant. He was upfront, very professional and confident in his skill. He told me what he could do and he delivered. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and I'll be seeing him again. The buying process was not that bad, like any business the bank wants to make sure they are entering and making a good deal. Eric (I believe he is the manager), gave me a number and achieved that. That number was 2 hours max, he would have a deal for me. My buying process lasted almost 4 hours, included in that time was moving the vehicle, providing a full tank of gas, cleaning the vehicle and CHECK THIS OUT, making a quick video inside and outside. All this in 4 hours. No experience or information for the quality of repairs, I hope I do not gather any as well. The car runs great for the first two days. Nice clean and comfortable facility, all the staff was pleasant, entertaining and friendly. Avi, assured me throughout the process, I would be driving home w/ a 2nd vehicle and that I have now. I won't recommend him for president just yet, but I'll go out on a limb and say, " he might be the salesman of the year" (and we're half way through January 2021). Great until the extended warranty ran out And 2023. Cost of replacing a valve and associated work was $5000. Shakes if rear windows open from wind. Aerodynamic so so.

2018 Macan S CPO .. I’ve owned a lot of cars/trucks over the years, BMW’s, Mercedes, Hondas, Chevy’s, Ford’s, Buicks, etc. and so far this Macan S brings the biggest smile .. stupid fast .. minimal road noise .. fabulous interior .. Bose surround sound .. great information systems .. a well thought out and built SUV .. no disappointments so far ….

2012 Porsche Cayenne great luxury and sports vehicle combined into one SUV. Porsche has really out done it with the Cayenne. I've owned Lexus rx 350 and Mercedes ml 500. I enjoy the drive and ride of the Porsche Cayenne much better.

I think most of people here have not driven a Macan 3.6 Turbo engine with 400+ HP. This car is amazing you can't compare this one with other lower Macan models. this is the one to have.. We owned several Porsches including Cayennes turboS. This is a compact daily driving machine with Lot's of power and is fully loaded. The turbos 3.6 cost over $100K after taxes for a reason , Please don't compare this model with other low built Porsches for middle class, this is a High End Vehicle for a reason ...maybe the same as compare the Boxer with a 911 Turbo S.

Mark Haltzman was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. Having large monitors synced with the sales people's laptop also added to the positive experience. Being able to provide the necessary documents ahead of time digitally made the actual purchase transaction much more efficient. Having genius Holly help set up the car initially was huge. Even though I had already read the 360+ pages of the owners manual, it saved me the headache of trying to navigate all the tech.

Purchased a base Cayenne as a CPO from a local Porsche dealer in 2022 with 34,000 miles (this is my 6th Porsche). Better than any other SUV I have ever owned by far. Fun, reliable, and great looking. And a great deal.

Purchased as a CPO. So far it is fantastic. Performance, Styling, fit and finish are as expected in a Porsche. Reliability will be a measure moving forward. So far for a 5 year old car with under 50K miles it is like new. Time will tell if it develops the good ole German oil leaks (I’ve yet to own an Audi, Porsche, Mercedes, and VW that didn’t leak oil as it got older.)
