This has been a solid truck. However, I have only owned it for less than a year. Recently, I have had a BCM problem. Not a cheap fix. There are approximately 8 recalls.

Power, beauty, and utility! Haul all week and drive to a cotillion on the weekend! I have received more compliments on this vehicle than any other I have owned, including a customized red and black striped ‘73 Mustang convertible and an ‘02 Z06. It can get up off the line or take me safely into work in a snow storm, all while looking great doing it. Only things it’s missing is a blower, a sun roof, and stereo amp. But then, if it had them, I’d never get out of it.

Well mine is a tradesman. Meaning lowest model. It is a beast. Has plenty of power for a one ton gas engine. I have taken it on a couple of long trips highway drives and I actually got good gas mileage so I am pleased. Only thing I wish I had was a larger information screen. Backup camera is too small for such a big truck

Had the truck, a Tradesman, 3-years and not a single problem with it, besides what the previous owner did. They put leveling blocks on it and big tires that made it ride like a dump truck. Plenty of power with the 6.4l. Very reliable.

I bought my 2017 Ecodiesel in April of 2018 at a significant discount from MSRP due to "Dieselgate" with VW and then modified software on these. They were held up for months so that the software could be corrected, so by the time they were available for purchase there was a massive overstock on them. With the complete re-design for the 2019 models, dealers were looking to get these moved out and offered big incentives to do so (up to $20,000 off). There have also been some recalls for a few things, but nothing that has seemed to go wrong on my vehicle, but I took it in to get everything addressed for the recalls. That being said, I haven't had any issues with the truck not working at any time and it is one of the most comfortable riding vehicles I've owned, especially on longer trips. The little diesel engine gets excellent milage on the freeway (about 28 mpg) and about 20 around town. Seats have coolers and heaters, the steering wheel also has a heater, auto start, good lumbar support, a nice sound system, "Millenium Falcon" style ice boxes under the rear passenger floor spots, and a lot of other features that even new trucks don't have. Plus I am not having to "rent" services that came in my truck like a lot of new vehicles force people into. It hauls what I need it to haul, tows what I need it to tow, and drives where I need it to go. Does what a truck should and with comfort to boot.

I was in a bad accident and wast boned I had broken arm an fingers my 2500 turbo diesel was hit rightfront side then I was thrown into oncoming traffic and hit again after all that just body damage thank goodness frame was not affected this truck and god saved my life and the fact that god protected me the Olive said if I wasn’t in a wellbuilt truck like I was I would have been killed, thank you Dodge Ram for building these so strong I love my Ram 2500 Turbo Diesel Ivan only speak highly of it it’s a 2014 with 17,000 on the mileage and damage cost ins 22,000 to fix!! I recently purchased a car. After about a month, I noticed some grinding in my rear passenger tire. I gave my salesman Chris (Toyota west used cars) a call and told him what was going on. While it was a simple fix, one I probably could’ve done myself if I would’ve looked better, Chris had me bring it back in and the dealership looked at the car and took care of it. This is a major reason I have purchased several cars from this dealership, including when they used to be Hatfield. They are always taking care of their customer. First, I do have to say that Jordan is a pleasant, respectful, "upcoming" used car salesperson. With his outgoing, friendly, respectful demeanor, he likely could have sold me just about anything. On President's Day, my husband and I drove about 45 minutes, intending to test drive a specific Wrangler at the Used Car division. The test drive went well with us both falling in love with the vehicle. The negotiations went fairly quickly, despite me having no access to my bank to move around $$$$$ and my trade vehicle not being present. There was give and take on both sides- mostly give on mine, LOL. We arrived at an amicable deal on the price, trade, service contract and promise to fix the heated steering wheel. Ziggy, the finance manager, was pleasant and efficient. We waited an inordinate amount of time for the title work on my trade to be done. On Wednesday as planned, we returned, with my trade and a check in hand. Apparently Jordan forgot that we were coming as we waited over an hour for the vehicle to be "cleaned and readied for delivery." The dealership was not busy at all that day, with staff congregated around the main desk, laughing and joking. Any other time that I have purchased a vehicle, it has been serviced, cleaned, washed and waiting near the dealership entrance. When Jordan finally handed me the key, confirmed that there was no spare key and informed us that the steering wheel parts were on back order (and could take up to 30 days to arrive,) he bid us good bye and good luck. I asked, "so that's all? Is there anything to sign?" Both Jordan and the Finance Manager assured us we were good to go. Everyone had a good laugh when I asked them if they wanted the $27,400 check. Maybe the laugh will be on me if the documentation I have does not show that they received the check. I have to say that the experience was mostly positive. I only wish that the staff had been more prepared for us to take delivery. Jordan did get some points back when he filled the fuel tank before we left. Time will tell about the steering wheel issue.

I bought this truck from Herritage DJC in Brigham City a year ago and it is without a doubt the best truck I have ever owned. It is a beautiful black color and has everything you could ever ask for in a truck. And speaking of that big 6.4 Hemi engine, it’s without a doubt a real neck snapper. It pulls my ‘26 foot toy hauler trailer like it was nothing. I can recommend this truck for anything you might want to pull. See Bret Davis for a deal on your new Ram.

This dealer always takes care of you immediately. I love it that the service rep videos the area of the vehicle they are working on to show you exactly what they have done. Takes time but very professional!

I bought the truck new in 2015, I remember it had 7 miles on it.. like others, I've owned Fords and Chevys. This has been hands down the best truck I've ever had.. A few small mantaince pieces but nothing bad.. unless this truck gets wrecked or stolen, I will have this truck till it or I Die...

N never had a problem about it used and it was a farm truck. It's a little rusty but it runs its butt off but having problems with the electrical in the steering column . Need to get it fixed

This truck meets all the requirements I had set for a truck ... had one very similar before and was searching for another one. Wanted the RAMboxes and a "shifter" not a dial to handle the gears! This model as the bucket style front seats, not the bench and the sifter is part of the console. It is loaded and just what I wanted.... save for the fact it does not have the tow package .... no matter.

After some long thought, I traded my 2000 Ram 2500 diesel for a like new 2014 Ram 2500 diesel longbed 4X4 last March. The truck averaged 20MPG which was nice, but my only wish was for some payload capacity. Since Ram went to coil springs this truck was rated at only 1970 lbs, which meant it could not haul a slide in camper or a fifth wheel safely. I should of done a little more research. So after 10 months of ownership, I traded it in on a 2018 Ram Dually so i can haul. So basically these new 2500 Rams are a mini van, unless you pull a trailer.
