This is my first car. I bought it with 168,000 miles on it, and had to replace the fuel pump ($500). After that, I’ve driven the car back and forth without any major issues. I drove from Florida to Massachusetts in two days - with 11-hour drives each day - and the car behave perfectly. It has never let me down since I bought it. Considering the price I bought it from, it is extremely reliable and pretty good-looking. It also has more than enough space for you and your partner, and spacious trunk for storage. I cannot describe in words how amazing this little car is. My car is about to hit the 200,000 miles on it and still drives smooth down the road. The only bad thing that I could say about this car is the leg space in the rear seats. Even though it’s enough for people to put their legs, it seems to be a little tight for them. Other than that, the design is fun and comfortable overall. The original audio system is above other competitors from the same year. What a shame GM discontinued this brand!!

I think that a lot of reviewers have under-rated this car. Saturn did modestly with new sales of the L-car, but it is a bonanza for guys like me who were in the market for a good used car value. The car is unfairly compared to Japanese imports which cost a lot more money. My Saturn is fast, handles well, and the leather seats and other appointments make it very comfortable and enjoyable. At $6,000 less expensive than a Japanese rival, it represented the best bang for my buck. The black paint and polished aluminum wheels on my car don't hurt matters, either. I would recommend one of these to anybody.

I have a chevy dealership 6 miles from my house. I drive 20 miles to do business with Rosedale Chevy. I bought my 2025 Equinox back in July from Rosadale Chev. I brought my vehicle in for her first oil change. Harry, who met me for the intake of my vehicle was friendly and efficient. He told me it would be about an hour, which is what I was told when I made the appointment. After I went to the customer lounge I received a text where I could ask questions and have contact with the service area. After 1 hour and 5 minutes, Harry came to the lounge to let me know my vehicle was ready! He walked me to the cashier where I signed for my service and received my keys and was shown where my car was parked. Later in my Chevy app, I received a video of the mechanic showing me the underside of my vehicle and going over tires, suspension, oil pan, etc... and said he had no recommendations for service (I didn't expect any on a new car, but you never know)! I found the video to be informative and a professional touch of service!

Pushing 80 yrs old [young?] I find the L300 a very nice place to be driving from Az desert to the Ca coast...it also get pretty good MPG...Great air and power everything, like the sunroof too..1st car with leather, it felt more comfortable to sit on, seemed softer...over 84,000 now and all is well...can't complain even if it dies in the next 30 or 40 thousand miles...

This car was everything I was looking for at this stage of my life. It had 3 owners but no accidents and only 96,000 miles. This car is known to be reliable. The exterior and interior are nothing too fancy but it has the necessities (functioning windows, A/C, mid size sedan space, decent trunk space, etc). Saturn is no longer in business so some have had issues finding parts and repairs may be expensive. But as Saturn was part of GMC, it may not be as difficult as one might think.

My wife and I recently made a second purchase this year and once again we really appreciate all the help we were given, allowing us to test drive multiple cars until we found the one we liked best, Dave, Dan and Jim were great to work with and made the process of purchasing easy!

I bought my '04 Saturn Ion brand new. It only had 2 miles on it when I drove it out of the showroom. It hit 430k 2 yrs. ago. I was hoping to get at least 500k out of it, but alas, my subframe is rusted. But that's due to winters in the Midwest. I never had any engine issues and the factory battery lasted 7 yrs. before it needed to be replaced. It never burned any oil and I religiously changed the oil every 3,000 miles. My baby got me safely home in the worst weather. Very low maintenance, great gas mileage. Oh! And the dashboard design! I loved not having the steering wheel in the way to check my gauges/speedometer. Just a quick glance with my eyes was all that was needed; didn't even have to turn my head. Everyone gave me sh** for having a little plastic car. (My daughter always said that I could whip Cheerios, not doughnuts!) But they all shut up when they saw how good a car it was. For being a little car, it still had plenty of room. I smoked a deer w/ my car 20 miles from home and even though it totally effed up my hood and headlights, but it Never. Stopped. Running. My husband thought I was gonna junk it. I looked at him and laughed. He underestimated the love I have for that car. It was well worth fixing it and I drove it for another 4 years. I wish with all my heart that they would bring them back and make them as good as they did.

I purchased an aura xr v6, 2009 with 65,000 miles. it is the top one, including some wireless headphones, dual Chrome exhaust with 6 speed auto with steering shifters and great sound system. this car is a joy to ride and it is well mantained, the parts are really cheap because it shares platforms with malibu/g6/impala, shocks, brakes, body, etc. it runs AMAZINGLY, doesn't save gas but for the power is a nice trade willing to make. It looks better than bmw serie 3 of those years by far and runs faster. the only bad thing is that the car is limited to 115 mph, the competition the top is after 140mph. just that's it. excellent ride

I got my Saturn Ion new back in 2007. I wanted an affordable black car with a manual transmission. This car has been a rock for me. I've put on new all season tires a few years back. In this past summer, 2024(158,000 miles), I had to replace the brakes. Outside of regular maintenance(oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes) that is all I have had to do! Mine is a manual transmission, which has been very helpful controlling the vehicle in the snow here in MN. I am very grateful for my Saturn and happy to share the feedback.

I've owned my 2007 Saturn Ion 3 for 16 years and have only had one small repair. Had a small leak in the gas tank and that is all. This is the most reliable car I've ever owned.

I bought my 2006 Saturn ion at 193,000 miles for $550. My ex got into a accident when it hit 240,000. It was such a reliable and strong car! Replaced some filters, battery, alternator, and also had to replace radiator due to running over a raccoon on accident :( I went back and forth a lot in that car doing doordash. I would definitely recommend that car to anyone who’s looking for something that’s cheap and reliable.

We bought a used 2002 Volvo in Excellent condition from Beau. His cars are quality and he is very honest. We came from Massachusetts to get the car and I would recommend him to anyone looking For a used car.

I bought a 2009 Aura XE in 2010 and so far I have put 200010 miles on it. Bought it used with 30000 miles. It is by far the best, most reliable car I've owned and it is still running strong. Nothing but routine maintenance. I've changed spark plugs once and I change the oil and filter every 3000-4000 miles. I've changed the wiper motor once and a sensor once. I've owned a few brand new cars but none were as good as this one. Garage kept so that may contribute to it lasting for 14 years. But it's been a great car.

Well worth the 2 hour drive from Aiken, SC. Would highly recommend when searching for a good deal on a clean pre-owned vehicle.

This car has paddle shifter, heated seats and good mileage. I haven't had any problems with this car. Lots of legroom. I would recommend my friend to get this car

I have owned this car for a year now and have not had one problem with the vehicle. Manual windows, am/fm radio, and no wireless unlock. This car is old, but reliable, and doesn't look half bad.

My Saturn ion is that 201,000+ miles. I have not had any major issues, mostly just Maintenance. I do notice an electrical problem. It’s been there since I got the car. I just don’t have the money to pay a mechanic to find the problem.

People like to hate on Saturns, but I’ve owned two now and I love them. They’re very innovative designs and have always gotten great mileage. This one is a little short on headroom but it still fits five grown adults.

I've bought so many cars in life my friends think I am a dealer. I'm a car guy, I work on all of them myself and I just like cars. I typically buy from private owners because I have a disdain when it comes to car dealerships and sales people. I have hair raising stories to prove this. One of my favorites is when I bought a car online from Florida and had it shipped to Ohio. It had a one thousand mile warranty. The salesperson told me the warranty would be expired upon arrival because it was over a thousand mile transit........On a car carrier....... seriously. While surfing around I find the car I wanted and they are an hour and forty five minute drive. At first I thought that's too far to go kick a tire until I started reading their reviews, the way they acquire the cars and the benefits of their family owned dealership. I was apprehensive about putting my hand on the stove again but my intuition cried out to me saying this would be different. My first fact finding call put me through to Dave who is incredibly sharp and I knew immediately I had to take this shot. I called back to make an appointment and was connected to Rachael who was VERY accommodating and told me to let her know when I was on my and she would hold the car until we arrived. When we got there we met and within a minute felt like family members. She was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable without any of the usual sales stuff thrown at you. She is absolutely phenomenal! So we get to look at and drive the Lincoln MKZ which was super clean and everything they advertised. All of the cars around it were exceptional too. We did buy the car with unparalleled confidence. The inspection and the attention to detail provided was remarkable. I am elated with Rachael and Dave, the car the dealership and the way we were treated. They are THE nicest most easy going no pressure people in this business. I can't say enough about the how great the entire experience was!! Epic! The most honest and truthful people you'll ever meet. Just got my ion, within the first ten miles the 23 year old car lost the timing chain. I guess you get what you pay for. (It was free) Seems easy to work on, and parts are cheap. I'll update my review once I fix it for under 40 dollars on parts! Before this snag it did seem to run well handling was a little touchy or so it seemed to me but I'm used to driving a Chevy truck 10 years older. And just for reference mine got 289,000 miles on the clock!

My ex never took care of this car (even rare oil changes) and it lasted him years. Pretty amazing. This is also the only compact car I've ever driven that I didn't hate. Even if you hate compact cars like I do, give it a test drive. Worth the gas mileage and low maintence.

I bought my Ion in 2006, with 7 miles on it. It is about to hit 200k with NO major problems. My daughter had it for the last 4 years and beat it up pretty good, but to get it back in shape for my younger one is a heck of a lot cheaper than getting another car. Bonus: my PP taxes are only $17 on it.

Definitely didn't hate driving this car on a daily basis. Having the last model year ever made, there's just something about driving a car that you know you will never see a newer version of on the road that's very satisfying (since Saturn was shut down). I can't speak for other models, but my Aura was super reliable. Up to 150k miles on it now and nothing major ever went wrong with it. It's a shame that Saturn went under since some of their later models that came out seemed to be the best looking. It's just a great, unique enough looking car that sets it apart from the Hondas and Toyotas on the road, especially for the price.
