Bought the vehicle new in October of 2023. Now it’s March of 2025. Have yet to have an issue🤞though have heard of common problems many have had. I’ve put roughly 20 k miles on the car in a year and a half (mostly interstate driving). Technology package is lovely and the vehicle has an overall stylish feel. It’s important to keep in mind, though, that you’re buying a 20k dollar vehicle from 2023. It’s plastics galore in there, so, though stylish, the material quality isn’t the best. If you’re someone who takes care of your things, you shouldn’t have an issue! Use the maintenance schedule found in the Owner’s manual and this vehicle should get you where you’re going for a reasonable amount of years. That being said, if you’re trying to decide between and LX[S] and GT (not including GT-Line), choose the GT. Though you’re paying a little extra, you get a standard transmission with real gears (the car has more power than you’d think too) rather than the CVT found in the LX[S] (and GT-line). CVT tech has greatly improved within recent years, but they’re still known to be problematic at times. All in all, this generation of Kia seems to be more reliable than most previous gens. Definitely a real deal competitor with the carolla/civic and worth the consideration!

Great car and efficient. Really helps with the global warming problem because of good gas mileage. Full EVs still don't have good mileage ranges. This care doubles my mileage.

I just happened to stop in the dealership on Saturday Steve Ball came up and created me and discussed the new 2021 40th Anniversary Maxima, I told him I was interested but had a event to get to. He took my information and contacted within an hr and sent me what I needed and then on Monday went in to the dealership and we closed the deal!!!! Bought it brand new. Overall not bad but has some flaws in ergonomics. Cheap plastic that doesnt stay in place. Had to glue gas tank door plate to prevent it from coming off. Little bit underpowered for a turbo. Windows control in weird place, never can get the right bottom without looking. Transmission always shifts like it cant pick the gear it wants to be in. May upshift and downshift at the same time which feels like you get kicked in the rear.

I tend to dread the car buying process for a variety of reasons. I was able to do a lot of research online and shared my plan with the team at North Star and not once did I feel pressured to make a decision or speed any part of it up. I feel that my wishes and requirements were respected and the overall process was really smooth. I really respect that I wasn't badgered and harassed about buy-ups in the Finance office when I was signing everything as I have been at one of your competitors in the past. I listened, gave my response, and we moved on. If more dealers were up front and honest about this stuff, as North Star was, this wouldn't be a notoriously hated process to go through!

I really love this car. It looks great, is very fast, and is all-around fun to drive. The one-pedal braking is the best feature, IMO. Would purchase again.
