I have a 2017 Sonata SE that has been a very good, reliable vehicle. I spend alot of time on the road for my job and it had never given me any issues; very comfortable, gas mileage around 30+. As many others have said, the engine conked out at around 124,000 mi. The dealer replaced it with a new factory engine 2 mos ago. A week after I got it back, the accelerator something or other broke so I took it back and had to pay $500 to repair it. (they swore it was unrelated- I dont think so) Other than that, it has been a great car.

Bought the vehicle new in October of 2023. Now it’s March of 2025. Have yet to have an issue🤞though have heard of common problems many have had. I’ve put roughly 20 k miles on the car in a year and a half (mostly interstate driving). Technology package is lovely and the vehicle has an overall stylish feel. It’s important to keep in mind, though, that you’re buying a 20k dollar vehicle from 2023. It’s plastics galore in there, so, though stylish, the material quality isn’t the best. If you’re someone who takes care of your things, you shouldn’t have an issue! Use the maintenance schedule found in the Owner’s manual and this vehicle should get you where you’re going for a reasonable amount of years. That being said, if you’re trying to decide between and LX[S] and GT (not including GT-Line), choose the GT. Though you’re paying a little extra, you get a standard transmission with real gears (the car has more power than you’d think too) rather than the CVT found in the LX[S] (and GT-line). CVT tech has greatly improved within recent years, but they’re still known to be problematic at times. All in all, this generation of Kia seems to be more reliable than most previous gens. Definitely a real deal competitor with the carolla/civic and worth the consideration!

My wife and I experienced a serious overheating problem in our Santa Fe while driving from our home in Kansas City to Chicago. He patiently explained the problem, told us they had to order a part, and promised the vehicle would be done by Tuesday. When I left the facility, Kyle said he was on the phone trying to work a little magic to get the part sooner. I don't know who he called or what he said, but he worked the magic. The part came on Monday, and they had the Santa Fe fixed and back to us a day ahead of schedule! That was tremendous. We were already sold on the Hyundai, but this experience reminded us again of why we are on our third vehicle. The level of customer care is off the charts at Hyundai. And Kyle is the best service advisor we've ever had. The repairs fixed the problem and got us safely back home to Kansas City. I would gladly recommend Kunes Hyundai without hesitation. The 2023 BMW 530xe PHEV hits the sweet-spot for what I want in a vehicle: 1) with up to 21 e-miles on a full charge I have enjoyed 100% electric driving for almost all my day-to-day trips (in the past year I’ve only filled the gas tank to our 530xe about 3-4 times), 2) Easy road-trips with no interruption to wait-around for my car to charge, just fill the tank with gas and keep going. I’m just not ready to go electric-only because the technology and charging infrastructure just isn’t there (until it’s as quick and easy to get a full electric charge as it is to fill your gas tank (in just 3-5 minutes), I’ll happily enjoy my 530xe PHEV. It’s literally the best of both worlds. Also the 530xe is stylish (I get unsolicited comments often), seats are comfortable on long road-trips and car is sporty to drive. Plus the back seat is comfortable too — often not the case in other vehicles. I’ve throughly enjoyed my 2023 530xe with no mechanical problems or issues.

109,000 miles on my 2019 BMW 530e and it drives like the day I bought it. Original brakes, 2 sets of new performance tires since purchased new. Keep it services precisely to timeliness at the dealership, where service department provides a loaner. Favorite car of 13 lifetime purchases (which is why we still have it).

Absolutely love my 2019 530e. Drove a 5.7 hemi Chrysler 300 prior but I’ve owned a 2014 bmw 328i. The turbo 4 engine on this sedan is buttery, not as fast as the 6 but this car shines in the twistys and turns. She handles on rails. Gas to hybrid motor transition is seamless. I get 38mpg usually because my commute is 68 miles so everyday I get about 20-25 electric range. (Must turn off AC/Heat otherwise it dips to 18). The key to extending electric mileage is to know when to use the gas motor, especially uphills. Otherwise you will sap your range. My only complaints is the interior and trunk are a little cramped compared to my old 300. The value also dropped a lot, I bought one year ago for 32k (40k after taxes and bumper to bumper warrranry). with 30k miles and now it’s got 60k miles and now only worth 25k so I have zero equity if I want to trade it in. Otherwise zero problems only been in shop for oil changes. I almost need to go buy a bucket commuter so I can keep miles off the 530 but she is just so much nicer to drive especially in the cities where she just glides with the electric motor. I’ve even driven off road ok gravel and she has great comfy suspension that absorbs a lot of bumps.

Now at 93K miles with NO mechanical or system problems always following regular maintenance. Just had BMW's Multipoint inspection during a scheduled oil change and passsed every category with flying colors. BMW dealer even offered to buy it from me. And, extra bonus with average 30 miles per gallon.

Fantastic little car. Some people complain about the pickup and I would say 2 things to that. 1, its a 106 horse power car. What did you expect? 2. You are probably driving the automatic CVT, which I can say did feel quite boring. However, if you get this in a manual (if you can find it in the states!) then this car is very nice. Its still not going to keep up with the average 200+ HP car on the road today. Even Minivans have turbos in them now, but you won't feel too awful. The reliability is out of this world IF you ensure you do a carbon clean during oil changes, get a manual (automatic transmission is one of its only failure points), change the transmission fluid, do basic maintenance, engine air filter every year, synthetic every 6-7k miles (5k if you want to be anal about it), and ill reiterate do a carbon cleaning if you get knock and its not the spark plugs or the ignition coils. These engines are direct injected, which means the top of the cylinders get lots of burn off carbon and gunk up. Then they don't function so well, you get check engine on startup, and rough idling. A guy I knew basically gave me this car, and he was thought it was a dud. I took it, cleaned out the carbon, started it up and it ran perfectly for a month. Changed every coil and plug, did all maintenance, and his 30k car that was a "dud" is now going on 90k miles 4 years later without a single issue. Took it to Mazda and they said it was practically brand new and expect it to run for 250k+. That is after putting 60k of delivery driving miles on it. Cars like this are so fun because most of the issues with cars can be fixed. Those cars you get rid of thinking they went bad, are probably fine. Unless its engine or transmission related, its generally fixable. Note: I am not a mechanic, I am just a normal guy who watched videos and made friends with mechanics and paid them to let me sit in and help anytime I got work done on my car. This is one of the best economy cars to ever exist. Up their with Corollas and Civics. In fact, I plan on buying a Miata because of how much I love the dynamics of this car. It feels amazing with the piddling 106HP it has. I can't imagine what a Miata with nearly twice the torque and 176HP feels like while being 2/3rds the size.

I bought my Forte LXS in Feb of 2024 and i've driven 9,000 miles on it so far. it's been great and i prefer this over a Corolla or a Camry. on the highway i sometimes get fuel economy in the low 50's mpg and on average i get around 37 mpg combined. not bad at all. i bought this for $21K after taxes and registration. the value can't be beat imo.

Bought this car used in 2020. Amazing amount of luxury for the price point. Gas mileage was amazing and was extremely reliable, never had any problems getting serviced. Unfortunately, I got rear ended in this vehicle, but was saved by how well my car protected me. Loved my car, and I am set out to buy another A3.

I really like this car. It's very responsive, fast, stable, great turning and traction on the road. I gave it all 5 stars but please know that I ordered it new with the features and interior that I wanted. I live in the North East, so I got the all-wheel-drive.
