On yesterday, April 24, I had the opportunity to purchase a vehicle I had been wanting for quite some time. Working with the team at Carmax on Independence Blvd in Charlotte, NC was worth the short drive from Columbia, SC. Fantastic little car. Some people complain about the pickup and I would say 2 things to that. 1, its a 106 horse power car. What did you expect? 2. You are probably driving the automatic CVT, which I can say did feel quite boring. However, if you get this in a manual (if you can find it in the states!) then this car is very nice. Its still not going to keep up with the average 200+ HP car on the road today. Even Minivans have turbos in them now, but you won't feel too awful. The reliability is out of this world IF you ensure you do a carbon clean during oil changes, get a manual (automatic transmission is one of its only failure points), change the transmission fluid, do basic maintenance, engine air filter every year, synthetic every 6-7k miles (5k if you want to be anal about it), and ill reiterate do a carbon cleaning if you get knock and its not the spark plugs or the ignition coils. These engines are direct injected, which means the top of the cylinders get lots of burn off carbon and gunk up. Then they don't function so well, you get check engine on startup, and rough idling. A guy I knew basically gave me this car, and he was thought it was a dud. I took it, cleaned out the carbon, started it up and it ran perfectly for a month. Changed every coil and plug, did all maintenance, and his 30k car that was a "dud" is now going on 90k miles 4 years later without a single issue. Took it to Mazda and they said it was practically brand new and expect it to run for 250k+. That is after putting 60k of delivery driving miles on it. Cars like this are so fun because most of the issues with cars can be fixed. Those cars you get rid of thinking they went bad, are probably fine. Unless its engine or transmission related, its generally fixable. Note: I am not a mechanic, I am just a normal guy who watched videos and made friends with mechanics and paid them to let me sit in and help anytime I got work done on my car. This is one of the best economy cars to ever exist. Up their with Corollas and Civics. In fact, I plan on buying a Miata because of how much I love the dynamics of this car. It feels amazing with the piddling 106HP it has. I can't imagine what a Miata with nearly twice the torque and 176HP feels like while being 2/3rds the size.

Completion of Honda CR-V recall for passenger seatbelt tensioner was the purpose of my visit. Also a tire was found to be damaged to the extent a replacement was required. Tire was replaced with the exact tire quickly and at a competitive price.

We had the 2018 before this 2023 for 3years and it was amazing other than regular maintenance we put a battery in it that's it. Loved the car took us everywhere without fail very reliable. Has a mean punch with the 4-cylinder but it's the turbo Tranny makes it mean. It goes when you need to! Nice style looks classy and sporty. We got grey metallic paint it looks purple! We love this car too, a lot like our old one but new features for sure driving assistance features crash prevention, and new car deck bigger and better could use a lot more bass lol. But great sound without good bass. Malibu's are being discontinued so the wife and I will be looking at a impala next ride purchase as we fell hard for Chevy Period!

I bought my Forte LXS in Feb of 2024 and i've driven 9,000 miles on it so far. it's been great and i prefer this over a Corolla or a Camry. on the highway i sometimes get fuel economy in the low 50's mpg and on average i get around 37 mpg combined. not bad at all. i bought this for $21K after taxes and registration. the value can't be beat imo.

I love my kia forte. I got the top tier kia Forte with leather seats which heat and cool and also a sunroof. This car is very comfortable! It is a little on the pricey side for my top tier one, but in the long run it is worth it.

I bought the Reserve trim with the Tech package, Climate Package, 3.0l Twin Turbo V6, and AWD. Overall - This is a take on the modern American midsize luxury sedan that accidentally became the fastest vehicle Lincoln has ever made. Comfort - The seats in the MKZ feel more akin to a neatly fitted recliner with its many leavers to get the perfect position. It might take a few moments to get everything just right, but when you do, it's like sitting on a fluffy golden retriever. Its warm, comfortable, and always happy to see you. Drivability - This is an easy vehicle to drive. The AWD is great for putting the power down and not getting stuck on ice or mud. The handling is soft enough to put the family to sleep at the end of the day. Great visibility, easy to drive at night even in the rain. Interior - The inside looks, feels, and fits the price of this car and not the typical cheap American sedan. Touch points are nice. The inputs work how you would expect them to work. The return of physical buttons and knobs are welcome one, I much rather have the controls of a 4th generation fighter jet over a smart phone. Tech - The tech is fine. Blindspot is fine. Radar cruise control is fine. The auto high beams is fine. The touch screen OS is hopeless. The backup camera is fine. The stereo is fine. Performance - This is my favorite part of the car. Keep it in the low RPMs and you are just driving around any plain whatever V6 sedan. Nothing unusual here. Start rolling into the power and at 2750 you will hit max torque of 400 lbft. Planted your foot firmly to the floor and you will get all 400 HP at 5500 RPMs. With some grippy tires, the tested 0-60 is 4.8s. This makes this sedan a bit of a sleeper. Like I said, this version of the MKZ accidently became Lincoln's fastest car. Exterior - The MKZ has been accused of being a "tart" up ford fusion, but this revision is actually different. The MKZ is physically taller, wider, longer, and its own styling. Lincoln's design language is to be subtle and not draw attention. Paint in black with its shiny grill, it looks more like a 2000s jag than a 2010's ford. Reliability - 59000 miles and had to replace a sparkplug cable for an intermit issue. No other issues to report. Value - Used market is where a car like this has a ton of value. 400 hp, fit and finish, comfort you'd expect, and at a price that most could afford. Look at any of its competitors and they will have less features, less power, or cost way more for similar. If you dont want the power, you can find better options, but for the entire package this is difficult to beat.

I own a 23' Hyundai Elantra Limited, it has 37,000 miles on it. For the Elantra being the smallest sedan that Hyundai makes, I have been surprised by this car. My 2 previous cars were a Sonata Sport and a Sonata Limited. Pros: comfortable ride - I drive 60+ miles daily to work and I have no complaints about the ride of this car. Sound System: This features Bose speakers, as it is a Limited model. For a factory sound system, it sounds very good. Fuel Mileage: I get between 35 - 37 MPG with some of my daily drive being in stop and go traffic. Maintenance: the only things I have had to do were the normal oil changes, filter changes, and I have replaced the tires. Cool feature is the BlueLink phone app so you can remotely lock, unlock, start the engine to cool down or warm up the interior of the car Cons: hyundai took away the ability to save music to the car stereo and replaced the feature with "nature sounds" Homelink garage door opener was not an option in the Elantra Limited. I would recommend this car to someone that has a limited budget and is looking for a car that is fun to drive and has been reliable.

We were interested in a vehicle at CarMax about 275 miles from where we live. We paid to have the car delivered to the location near us. There was nothing specific that the CarMax dealer did other than be sure the car was moved as quickly as possible. We did not visit the location where the car was being offered and the car was not delivered to our home.

I have a 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid with 199k miles. Mostly highway trips but still running and driving like a new car. Always serviced by dealer. Screen freeze was a small problem but not a serious one. Hybrid still strong and mpg about 43 per gallon average. I love the features and ride on this car. I have most of the options and they are great. Bought it below wholesale and enjoying it every day

I bought a 2016 Cruze Limited brand new in December 2015 and just this week parted ways with it at 100k miles. This was a great little car that I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again! The interior is comfortable and roomy and for the price, it has all the tech that you really need. Like most cars, it started needing more than the regular maintenance when it started getting close to 100k miles, but it’s still a reliable car and a great value. If you’re truly looking for a car to get you from A to B with a little extra in the way of amenities and you don’t have a complex about impressing people you don’t know with things you can’t afford, this car is a wonderful option.
