I just bought a 2013 Sentra SL. After buy8ng it I read some very bad reviews, regarding extensive repairs, costing thousands. I'm a low income, retired Senior, so this is all bad news to me. Hey my guy I can tell you exactly what's wrong with it and the oil pump isn't it. It's 1 or 2 problems and those are going to be either your balance shafts have worn out and seized up or you intake cam phaser has worn out. But being it's not starting anymore I'm willing to bet money it's your balance shafts. Had the same problem with my 2.0T "Red Warning Oil pressure shut engine off light"

from what I'm seeing other people report, the 1.4 turbo is the problem. I have the LS 1.8 and yes I have replaced the water pump but it was not driven hot so it did not damage the head gasket or block. it has 180,000 miles on it and runs like a new one. the comfort and handling makes up for the lack of power although it has enough. it's not a Camaro or a Corvette but it's a xxxx good Car.

Took it to a mechanic friend's shop and it had been well maintained by the previous owner. They weren't pushy when we spoke, they asked for a fair price, and it's in great condition for 70k miles. Good deal

The plastic plate across the front of the car comes off and have had to replace it once and now can't afford to put a new one back on!!!! The car has less then 40,000 not bad for 2012 when I bought with 139 miles...LOL! Breaks need to be replaced and the interior of the car needs deep cleaning. I love my Cruze man!!!

Purchased a used 2018 with 35K miles in 2023. I now have 75K miles as it's a commuter car, about 90 miles a day. I average almost 41 mpg going from Pueblo to Colorado Springs and back. The CVT was a bit suspect when I first got it, but I think the driving has corrected the 3rd gear delay. The CVT is hands down better than my Altima. One year that car was gone, total junk.

I have owned my Cruze for about two years now with no problems. I have driven this car back and forth to work and around town multiple times, with no issues. I have the LS trim with the 1.8. I can say the LS trim lacks many features, but still provides easy to use technology and a comfortable ride.

I got this car with 76k on it and it now is close to hitting 200k and is showing no signs of giving up. I do have the '14 LT model. I have, however, followed the maintenance schedule included the necessary tune-ups, transmission flushes, oil changes, and part replacements. There is nothing that has been replaced that is not surprising considering how many miles have been put on the car. The car has not disappointed me and has run as expected. It has also been run all over New England and a good portion of the East Coast and through most terrains. It has handled just as well in the rough Northern NY winters as it does in the summers. I would gladly buy this car again.

Make sure you check which engine you have in this car. There was a lawsuit about the piston rings being bad. To have another engine put in is 7.4k to 8.5k.
