Van Bortel has a customer centric reputation that is richly deserved. Because of supply chain issues new cars were generally in short supply in 2022. I ordered my Subaru Outback on 1/20/22 and was HOPING for delivery by early April. Due to various issues ranging from Japan to the U.S. assembly facility in Indiana this district not happen. Van Bortel worked with me every step of the way with updated timelines, timely changes, and even generous pricing allowances to help to ease my ?pain.? They never once ignored or denied my requests. 2025 Subaru Legacy Touring XT review
I was planning to buy a luxury brand and test drove the
I was planning to buy a luxury brand and test drove the BMW 3 series, the Audi A4, and the Lexus ES300. I then, due to reviews on Consumer Reports, tested the Subaru Legacy in it's top form, the Touring XT with a 260 HP engine, and I was blown away. Almost as quick as the BMW but rode smoother and quieter. Not as smooth and quiet as the Lexus, but more fun to drive. The Audi seemed cramped and the dealer was a disappointment. The Legacy interior was the most attractive in my opinion, has 4 wheel drive, a great sound system, and ended up being my favorite of the 4 cars, regardless of price. When you consider how competitive (or better) the Legacy is compared to the other 3 cars, and that I saved $13,000 on the price, it was a no brainer. It's really sad the Legacy is being discontinue, but all my comments also apply to the Outback Touring XT. The Legacy is a great car at a bargain price.

2024 Subaru WRX TR review
This is my second WRX.
This is my second WRX. My first (which I still have) is a 2002 Impreza WRX. I bought this car (2024) for long trips with the family and dog (cane corso). The foreseeable future does not see me daily driving it, tho I am sure it could handle it without any fuss. It has room for storage on trips and to the grocery store. Excellent platform for autocross, rally cross, track days, overlanding and as stated before long trips. This is a car that is hard to beat for its value and versatility.
