I have been a client of the Matthews Auto group for eighteen years. I have always been met with professional and courteous service on every level. I was in the market for a new vehicle. Purchased a 2021 sedan premium plus turbo AWD in 2022 with 11,000 miles. THE BAD: At 17,000 miles I discovered the front end would wobble when I applied the brakes. I was told by the dealer that I needed front and rear rotors and that the cost would be $1,000. When I asked why I needed brakes at only 17K miles I was told it was because the rotors must have gotten wet when I drove through a puddle when they were hot. Really? He obviously thought I was an idiot. It ended up costing me $600 to have a local shop do the work including an upgrade on the quality of the original factory rotors and pads. At 29,000 miles the car left me stranded in a parking lot when the battery died. A replacement battery cost me $280. At 30,000 miles the original manufacturer tires were badly worn and needed to be replaced (and yes I rotate them in fact EVERY oil change as opposed to every other). I purchased 4 Michelin tires which cost me $1,200. Also at 30K miles a rock came up from the road and cracked my windshield causing me to spend my deductible to have it fixed ($500). Nobody's fault I understand, just one more expense with so few miles.I have also noticed that I often get a "safety and driver support systems temporarily disabled" notice. It seems to be random but is annoying nonetheless. Shouldn't be happening at 32K miles. At 29K miles I apparently hit a pothole and the front rim was badly bent. The cost to straighten the rim was $140. The lane departure safety feature is annoying. Every time I even begin to leave my lane it violently pulls me back. Even when I need to go around an object in the road it pulls me back. Also, the tone associated with lane departure only works when it fells like it which is probably a good thing. Another issue is that it takes forever for the interior to get warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The car needs to warm up for at least 15 minutes before the temperature gets where I need it to be. The problem with that is that when using the remote start through the Mazda App, it only allows the car to run for 10 minutes. Also, you can't make any adjustments to the temperature from the app. ... THE GOOD: This vehicle is a blast to drive! It sounds great and it has plenty of power and I am still in love with the exterior appearence. The interior is done so well and as YouTube car reviewers say, "it's a great place to be". It has every option I would every want except for wireless Apple car play. It handles great and the AWD seems to work really well in slippery conditions. Currently I am at a crossroads. Do I sell my Mazda3 while the value is still high and get something else or do I keep it and hope nothing else goes wrong? I really like the car but I want to love it. One issue is the fact that when I purchased it I got 2.9% financing. I would be lucky to get 6.9% with todays rates. Also, if I sold it what the xxxx would I buy that has all of these features, a turbo engine and AWD that wouldn't cost me $35-$45K?!

Surprising power on the highway. Great gas mileage. Very roomy interior, and the dash and radio buttons and components are very easy to see and use. We chose this over an Accord, initially because the local Honda dealer is crazy, but we like everything about it.

Warranty & Service Inspection was completed in a timely manner with answers towards coming replacement tires or attention towards any other warranty needs were reviewed promptly in the close-out/check-out. Service Center offers great work space - snacks - coffee or treating the customer to WiFi or tv provided.

The 2021 Altima is a good but not great car. I have the SL trim which comes with more interior comfort and 1 of 2 extra features. I like the sporty style and tech features but the CVT transmission sucks sometimes. If I had to buy a sedan again I would choose a BMW 3 series instead cuz I like excellence in cars. But overall for anyone who would like to have something good and basic pros, yes the Altima can make it.

After hours of internet research, calling dealerships, and looking at vehicles I stumbled upon Jeff Kies Auto Sales. Many of the places I called within a 200 mile radius were very cold, uninformed and complicated. After speaking to Adam on the phone, I right away realized that I was dealing with people who were professional, courteous, and kind. For this reason I decided to make the 2 hour trip and cannot express how pleased I am. Their lot is organized beautifully according to year, make and model. Everything is clean and attractive. I got a kick out of their office area that had an antique gas pump and other neat decor. Adam made the entire car buying process seamless. He went above and beyond to answer all of my silly questions, prepare my vehicle and do the do all of the paperwork on the same day! It was a joy chit chatting with both Adam and his dad. I have be driving Chrysler products since 1968. This is my second Chrysler 300 and I love it. It is big enough, comfortable, and gets good mileage. Couldn’t ask for more.

I would highly recommend Snell's auto due to great customer service - including professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful staff. Specifically, Emily Brennan and Jackie Taylor who both listened to my needs, and helped steer me away from making the wrong choice (I was looking for a "beater" truck and was prepared to spend up to about $10,000 - and I had found one online which was there when I got there, but upon seeing it, I quickly realized it was not in good condition and it wasn't the truck for me). Emily helped me talk through xxxxxxand con's of moving into a higher price range (up to $21k) and she recommended the truck that I ultimately bought (a 2012 Ram in great condition with 125k miles) and I couldn't be happier. It's everything I wanted and more, and I feel like it was a fantastic bargain. I felt valued as a customer, and I've never had a better vehicle shopping experience. Absolutely love my car. 2018 SI sedan 6speed manual. A/C was fixed at dealer a while back. No problem since. No other problems of any kind. I never get under 35MPG COMBINED city and freeway. We drove to Phoenix and never got gas on the way. I’m at almost 90k miles, favorite car I have owned. I added a subwoofer to the stock stereo and it’s pretty good with Dolby Neural. I am amazed at the engineering to have over 200hp and just under 40mpg. Seat material is cheap. That’s one complaint. And it rides like a civic SI especially in sport mode. The handling is top notch I’ve scared a few people taking corners. If you like the SI cars over the years, this is one of the best

Excellent gas milege...regularly exceed the EPA highway estimate for this car. Already have over 30000 miles on it. Regualar maintenace so far at the dealer. Now looking at a set of replacement tires as the OEM's do not last as long as expected. Other than the high wear on the tires, Android Auto connections used to be iffy at best until I figured out how the keep the connection.,

Leasing this car. Expected to wait a couple of months but received a notification that a car matching my specifications would be available the next week. The car met most of my requirements. The price of the lease was considerably more than I expected to pay but I agreed to the terms. Two months after taking possession of the vehicle, the brake actuator failed and I lost use of the vehicle for two weeks. Of course, the repair of the brake actuator was under warranty! The miles per gallon are what I have come to expect from a Toyota Corolla - better than 40 mpg on the freeway, a little less on surface streets. I replaced the standard interior rear view mirror with the one that has a built in Universal garage door opener because there was not a convenient place to mount the garage door opener that I had used with two previous Toyota Corolla leases. The thing I like about this 2022 Toyota Corolla: good gas mileage, bright headlights, good interior space. Things I do not like: cheap plastic rear trunk wing that broke in drive through car wash, black out lettering that standout on the greyish body color, unlit driver side lock/unlock buttons that are hard to locate in the dark when getting out of the car.

The texting and emailing features were very useful for me. I am a busy person with very little time to “swing by” a dealer. The dealership worked with me on trade in value for my current vehicle and has stayed in contact even though I did not purchase the day I was in.

I love the fact that it is self-charging. That was a huge factor in my decision. The car if comfortable for me but my taller husband finds it a bit small and confining. It has great pickup and I have saved a lot of time and money by not having to fill up with gas so often. The one thing I am worried about it the quality of the tires. They are low-profile tires, filled with nitrogen and the vehicle does not come with a spare. This put us in a hazardous situation when one tire blew out on I-95. Without a spare, we had to get towed to the nearest dealership in Virginia. I wish I could replace all the tires with regular ones, but that is not possible with this make and model.

From the very start of my car shopping in June, 2023, I chose Matthews Planet Pre-Owned on the Vestal Parkway. One of my high school pals, Donna Shelp Fletcher, works there as their title clerk. I contacted her and asked her who I could work with at the dealership to help me find a vehicle. I ended up working with Andy Busch, who was very helpful, patient, and friendly. I really like how they do not pressure you at all. I ended up purchasing a 2020 Chevy Trax. They gave me an excellent trade in for my Volkswagen Beetle. Everyone I came in contact with during this process were fantastic. Prior to buying this vehicle, I had a Volkswagen Beetle which had a recall. I called them, they set up an appt and were very accommodating & friendly. Took care of it with no problem! This past spring, I had an issue with my tire not taking in air at an air pump. I drove it right over to the service center and made it there before they closed. They checked the tire thoroughly. While I was waiting, Jim Morse GM, happened to be walking out into the service area, saw me and was so friendly. He doesn't know me from Adam! He asked if I was being helped so I told him my car was being looked at. He walked right over to them to see how it was going. He didn't have to do that! Then Tim Salisbury, (I believe he's a service mgr), who checked me in to begin with & a truly kind and friendly man,said they wanted to perform a thorough check to make sure nothing was wrong with the tire, so I waited in the Waiting Room, which is very clean & comfortable, has vending machines, and even popcorn, coffee, and water available while you wait. Every employee who walks by smiles and says hello. When my car was finished, Tim came to get me from the waiting room, said everything was good to go and no charge!!!!!!! They really want the best for you. Today I went back again for my NYS inspection. Tim checked me in... Again, so kind. I went to the waiting room. Jim Morse happened to walk by, again not knowing me, had a huge smile and a friendly "Hi! How are you doing?" Tim came out a short while later and said "You're all set!" It passed! I 150% recommend Matthews Planet Pre-Owned for buying a vehicle and for all your auto service needs. Oh, forgot to mention that I also got an oil change a couple months back. Great service, as usual. Who else gives you a card for a free car wash after each service? Just Matthews! They are, in my opinion, the best for all your auto needs! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bought the vehicle new in October of 2023. Now it’s March of 2025. Have yet to have an issue🤞though have heard of common problems many have had. I’ve put roughly 20 k miles on the car in a year and a half (mostly interstate driving). Technology package is lovely and the vehicle has an overall stylish feel. It’s important to keep in mind, though, that you’re buying a 20k dollar vehicle from 2023. It’s plastics galore in there, so, though stylish, the material quality isn’t the best. If you’re someone who takes care of your things, you shouldn’t have an issue! Use the maintenance schedule found in the Owner’s manual and this vehicle should get you where you’re going for a reasonable amount of years. That being said, if you’re trying to decide between and LX[S] and GT (not including GT-Line), choose the GT. Though you’re paying a little extra, you get a standard transmission with real gears (the car has more power than you’d think too) rather than the CVT found in the LX[S] (and GT-line). CVT tech has greatly improved within recent years, but they’re still known to be problematic at times. All in all, this generation of Kia seems to be more reliable than most previous gens. Definitely a real deal competitor with the carolla/civic and worth the consideration!

My wife and I were shopping for a car to replace out totaled 2016 Prius V. We headed to Vestal to check out Matthews as they sell a few of the brands that we wanted to try out. We had a great experience with a sales rep at their Mitsubishi / VW dealership even though I didn’t fit into most of the cars we looked at. The salesman we were working with recommended we check out their Kia / Subaru store and called ahead for us. Upon arriving we were immediately greeted by Brian Chadwick and I’m happy to say everything worked out great. I explained what we were looking for and he took us to a bunch of vehicles so we could see how I fit into them. Eventually we test drove a 2020 Subaru Outback even though it wasn’t on our list and we loved it. We went back in and did the preliminary paperwork which was painless. There was no pushiness around the optional extras that they offered. Most importantly the price was very fair without having to do any kind of haggling. When all that we could do with Brian was finished for that evening we were passed onto one of the finance people who was also very nice, and again this was completely straight forward. No backroom sales pitches or any other junk that we’ve run into before. We came back the following Thursday to finish all the paperwork and take delivery of out new Outback. The process was very relaxed and if I can be honest, we left without feeling like we’d gone through what I’d call a normal car buying process. This was so far removed from any experience we’ve had in the past, we will definitely be coming back here the next time we need a replacement vehicle. If you’re looking for a car, I’d recommend the trip to Vestal to check them out and I definitely recommend working with Brian Chadwick.

Bought brand new off the lot in January 2020 and I've put just under 20K miles into it so far. Here's what I've seen so far: Good: - AWD keeps you on the road in even the most slushy and icy conditions. Driven this car through a few snow storms and never had to worry about losing control. - The driving assist safety features work very well, definitely has saved me from a couple minor incidents. Also the adaptive cruise control has revolutionized long roadtrips and I'll absolutely never be able to go back - Interior looks fresh and clean, seats are very comfortable. I'm always surprised how much trunk space this car has, plus the folding back seat make transporting some bulkier items easy. Bad: - I absolutely despise the entertainment system. The huge touch screen is cool but it is sluggish and unreliable. Often the inputs will lag several seconds or not register at all, which sucks when you're trying to turn on the AC on a hot day or the heat in the winter. The worst part is that sometimes when you start the car up, the user interface software won't start correctly and will crash, disabling all of the vehicle's safety features. Usually this fixes itself with an automatic reboot but that often takes a couple minutes. Once or twice I've had to pull of the road, turn off the car and turn it on again to manually cycle power to the console interface. - There's absolutely no reason to buy the sport mode when the CVT is so sluggish. Paddle shifters seem like they're almost disconnected as the difference between the "gears" is so minimal. - No way to disable the auto start/stop system, have to hit the touchscreen button every time. Overall: - I'd still recommend this car since the good definitely outweighs the bad. It's a car that does a lot of things decently but nothing exceedingly well. If you want a sports sedan, get the WRX. If you want a car that can handle rough driving conditions, get the Outback. If you want something more akin to a luxury sedan, go up a trim level to the Limited XT CVT. If you want a car that does all these things but doesn't lean too hard into any of them, this is your pick.

The only sad moment on my AL travels was that the Battery Died! = three-year warranty one replaced with Auto Center Assistant that KNEW his stuff - all is well - aging vehicle - onto the new one in the future.

We had the 2018 before this 2023 for 3years and it was amazing other than regular maintenance we put a battery in it that's it. Loved the car took us everywhere without fail very reliable. Has a mean punch with the 4-cylinder but it's the turbo Tranny makes it mean. It goes when you need to! Nice style looks classy and sporty. We got grey metallic paint it looks purple! We love this car too, a lot like our old one but new features for sure driving assistance features crash prevention, and new car deck bigger and better could use a lot more bass lol. But great sound without good bass. Malibu's are being discontinued so the wife and I will be looking at a impala next ride purchase as we fell hard for Chevy Period!

It’s beautiful and EXACTLY what I was looking for. They worked with me to get a payment I was comfortable with and were just GREAT!!

I own a 23' Hyundai Elantra Limited, it has 37,000 miles on it. For the Elantra being the smallest sedan that Hyundai makes, I have been surprised by this car. My 2 previous cars were a Sonata Sport and a Sonata Limited. Pros: comfortable ride - I drive 60+ miles daily to work and I have no complaints about the ride of this car. Sound System: This features Bose speakers, as it is a Limited model. For a factory sound system, it sounds very good. Fuel Mileage: I get between 35 - 37 MPG with some of my daily drive being in stop and go traffic. Maintenance: the only things I have had to do were the normal oil changes, filter changes, and I have replaced the tires. Cool feature is the BlueLink phone app so you can remotely lock, unlock, start the engine to cool down or warm up the interior of the car Cons: hyundai took away the ability to save music to the car stereo and replaced the feature with "nature sounds" Homelink garage door opener was not an option in the Elantra Limited. I would recommend this car to someone that has a limited budget and is looking for a car that is fun to drive and has been reliable.

My husband and I went to the Service Center for an oil change and tire rotation. We immediately were met by Service Adviser Chris Mondolfi. He treated us as if we had been longtime service customers - this was our first visit to the Matthews Import Center’s Service Center. He was polite and made our experience as pleasant as can be. We will definitely return based on our recent customer service received not only with service but with our recent purchase of a certified used Kia Sportage.

I drive the 2023 Kia Forte GT Manual, and I couldn’t recommend this car more!! The only complaint I have is now that I’m trying to find a new car with a more fancy name to impress clients, I can’t find anything I enjoy nearly as much. The car is built on a BMW M3 chassis, has the luxury features and interior to match with an average combined fuel mileage of 34mpg and the reliability of a newly redesigned Kia. It handles phenomenally well and is unmatched within its price point. It loses value quickly (until the general population realizes their tech and reliability recently surpassed Toyota and Honda) so buy a used 2023 or 2022, and you’re smooth sailing. I drove this car from Philadelphia to Los Angeles and was complimented by strangers in almost every city I stopped in along the way!

This is my fourth Malibu, first one was a 2004 Maxx, second one was a 2017 Malibu LS, third one was a 2022 LS and now I have a 2024 RS, all four have been good cars with excellent fuel economy and space inside, maybe not as refined as some Japanese models but great cars regardless, give one a try....

Even though I didn't end up purchasing a vehicle, I have to give major credit where it's due—Ariel Almonte was hands down one of the best sales professionals I've ever dealt with. Had a 2022 Elantra for 3 years only reason I got rid of it was the fact it was a lease and the 36000 miles was up and I did not need a 3rd vehicle. Used this car solely for road trips it had been to 28 states in total and never let me down. Car a bit low for bigger people like myself however very comfortable driving, got phenomenal gas mileage I could get from NH to VA on a single tank with gas to spare. Overall not a fan of Hyundai however I wouldn’t hesitate buying another Elantra. Only Con I ever had with this car was the fact it is so low to the ground it makes it a magnet for rocks to the windshield I did replace 3 while owning.

Took the family to Vegas for a week. Enterprise have me the choice between the Malibu, Charger and K5. My youngest didn't want the grey Malibu and I didn't want to pay for the gas on the Charger with the V8. So we went with the black K5. I drive a SUV so it took some time to use to bending down to get into he car. Once we started driving I noticed how smooth and quiet the car was. The car accelerated with ease and the braking made you feel safe. My Dodge Journey is 2015 and doesn't have all the new tech. The K5's blindspot and car In front of you leaving warnings are great features. Although the K5 had great features the only negative I had was the infotainment unit. The unit worked just fine, I just didn't like how it was integrated. It looks as it was installed as an afterthought. Looks like it was just inserted like a Lego piece, I would prefer it flush in the dash.

Bought my 21 Sentra SV Brand new,car now has 37000 on it.Quite honestly has been super reliable.reccomend.Only problem I did have was an electrical issue.They replaced the BCM under warranty all is well
