7th Subaru for this Alaskan. This is the best I’ve ever had. Bought the Touring edition, new, & still blown away by the rig. Tested out with a cross country camping trip & comfort, adaptability, utilities, dependability - all a 5. Took a tent, but not even needed, w/firm foam to create a level, comfy bed area. Now I get why my cousin tried to replace his Ascent Touring with a Lincoln Navigator. Ended up selling the Nav to go back to an Ascent Touring. The first Sub I’ve had that Dad proclaimed ‘comfortable’ and ‘perfect’. I chose the Captains chairs for the 2nd seat, and passengers have loved the comfort & their view, as well as their controls, drink holders, etc. I love the options to simply control everything. Almost killed by a drunk driver long ago, I keep a very close eye on everything around me. Visibility in this rig is mind blowing. And that’s on top of all the cameras that monitor what’s happening. Safety features are perfect. Like listening to music, radio, podcasts? Sound in the Touring edition is heavenly. Very, very impressed with this rig.

I'm still driving the 2019 Ascent with 56k miles. Other than a few recalls handled quickly, no issues whatsoever. Dependable, quiet, performance, comfort. I just had a loaner of the 2023 Ascent Touring model and I was amazed at the improvements. While I am keeping and love my 2019, the 2023 has improved handling, quieter, the transmission is certainly smoother and a solid and comfortable ride. Perhaps it has to due with the Touring model. I am not certain. I find my Subaru dealer to be honest, supportive and with an educated staff. This Ascent is large, which I enjoy immensely and without any family. The fit and finish is outstanding and the dash is quality components. No cheap plastic knobs or low grade materials. I would encourage you to test drive one today.

Have owned this 2019 Subaru ascent touring model for just over 2 years. Eye site feature is my fav. Car responds to changing traffic speeds automatically. great in heavy highway traffic. The Subaru service department at my dealership keeps it in tp top shape. I highly highly recommend this car. I'm sure the newer models are even better.

Great SUV. Very comfortable, Performance is acceptable. I am 6' 2" and I have plenty of leg room. Even have to move driver seat forward to drive. Auto adjust feature for driver seat is nice. Wish it included side mirrors also. Only drawback I find is the gas mileage. In this day of soaring gas prices it is a huge downside.

I recently traded in my 2022 Ascent for a similar 2023 model. The 2022 model had brakes issues/noises right from the beginning of ownership. Subaru gave me a great deal on the 2023 model. A number of improvement were found on the 2023 model. Obvious one is the exterior styling with new front grille, headlights and taillights. Interior improvements include updated Eyesight, quieter ride, better steering and brakes, larger multimedia screen including front and backup camera screens, driver profile system. A few other tweaks here and there, making the 2023 Ascent Touring a decent and very safe SUV. Not necessarily sporty or thrilling but perfect vehicle for commuting in town and long road trips.

Made an appointment for a recall on the backup camera. I also wanted them to check out a low tire pressure light. After a period of time I was told that the machine that fixed the recall was broken. They did fix the low pressure tire light. Kind of a waste of time.

Recent purchase two months old... I had high expectations and so far they have been exceeded. Quite, smooth, plenty of power and more technology than I will ever figure out.

Great car but excessive tones/beeps/alarms/etc. Jolting. You think something is wrong with the car. Especially the seat belt one—SCREAMS at you. Creates stupid drivers who rely on all these warnings.

I was looking for a specific car that was at this CarMax. Problem was that I live in Minnesota, not Chicago and would have to traveling a great distance for a car I had not seen other than in pics, potentially risking wasting a great deal of time and money. Practical. We love our 2020 Ascent Limited and we live in the south. We have a large family and this is great while the kids are small. Once more than three are teenagers, we'll definitely need a larger vehicle that provides more leg room if you're sitting on the back row. Love the convenience and ease of how the rear seats fold forward when I'm shopping and/or loading up from the back. The 10 year 100k mile warranty was reasonably priced at less than $2.5k. Haven't had to use it yet (knock on wood). Again, it's practical so the seats aren't as plush as premium vehicles but they're nice and comfortable. This pretty much describes the interior. The electronics are comparable to most vehicles. It has everything you need but nothing over the top. (Again, practical.) Greatly appreciate the cabin air filter and ease of changing it. I like smelling a fresh interior all the time. We're in the south where it's high in pollen, so the HEPA cabin filter is perfect. In my opinion the Ascent is a great mid-size SUV option that looks nice, is practical and has that Subaru reliability.

This car is spacious with very comfortable seating and many extra features that make me feel like I am riding in style. It came with a giant sun roof, clear bra, options for navigation and phone apps, choice of car mats (rubber or carpet) and rides so smooth. I love my new Subaru!!

The amount of safety features on this car is almost too much to count. It’s great that you can turn them on off for when you want to have a little fun without the kids in the car. Plenty of power and love the space. Sad that it only gets 22 average mpg and only has a 17 gallon tank. Biggest complaint is the gas tank size
