Great value considering the superior safety features, low maintenance and reliability. Rear wheel bearings have been replaced twice and just had the AC compressor and serpentine belt replaced. Albeit expensive repairs, all cars need something after the first 3 years. It's been 8 years and the car still run and drives like new.

Bought my 2015 Subaru 2.0XT Touring brand spanking new off the Subaru dealership's lot. Have owned it all this time about 9 years straight. Take care of your car with regular oil changes, servicing at recommended intervals, and your car will take care of you. Performed the required recalls during service periods. Not 1 single regret on owning this car, ever. It rides smooth and true. Had a clicking issue in the ball joints 2 years ago which Subaru fixed free of charge. Other than that, this car has been my dream machine.

I've never owned a Subaru before but after purchasing the Forester, I may never own anything but a Subaru again! I love the Eyesight Drivers Assistant that it came equipped with. I can see why this car has one of the best safety ratings out there. The interior is very open, spacious, & comfortable and the panoramic sunroof is amazing! It drives and handles like a dream. I would recommend this car to anyone. You won't be disappointed!

We had a very positive experience at this location. Because of current supply chain issues, they did not have the car we wanted on the lot. Nancy was great in helping us get one ordered. Once in Crystal was wonderful about going over all of the features of our new Outback. In financing, Tony was so friendly and got us through our paperwork quickly. My biggest problem with the forester is the infotainment system and the tom tom navigation. The infotainment is laggy at best. It can take two seconds per press to respond. And the tom tom? What? Did tom tom give Subaru a deal on 80s technologies. Recently I asked for a dollar tree and it changed it to 03. I have asked for vorhees and it kept trying to change it to Glendale? xxx. It is not barely usable, it is absolutely unuseable, that part of this car is a xxx.

I’ve owned this car for about 18 months. It has I bought it new and it now has about 17,000 miles on it. I love driving it. The safety features are excellent! The performance is good. I’m getting around 32 MPG for all around driving. I have the car maintained at the dealership and haven’t had any mechanical issues. I would definitely recommend this car.

Only concerns thus far, after three weeks of use. 1) takes time to learn use of various electrical and mechanical controls -- after 20+plus years of VW Jetta ownership, "a lot is different." Just have to be patient learning all the new features. 2) Auto-safety features (staying in lanes, braking distance warning, etc.) are helpful to some less-attentive drivers but annoying to this long-experienced user. Fortunately, they can be turned off and stop the chirping.

Sales people were friendly, especially the man from NY, and the sales guy, I bought a Honda Odyssey from them the next day I took it right into the dealer for an inspection, all the fluids needed to be changed, that's something i think they should have done before putting it on the lot, but other than that the van seems fine so far

I've owned a 2011 Subaru Forester for years and it has been supremely dependable through northern Michigan weather. Super cold to humid and muggy, it's been a comfortable, reliable ride throughout.

I had to make a 5 1/2 hour drive recently and loved how smoothly my car drove, especially using cruise control with “eyesight” so it slowed when I was too close to the car in front of me. I couldn’t even feel it; I watched the speedometer. Love the safety features and extras like seat warmers and large sunroof.

Fantastic experience start-to-finish! Good selection, no pressure, personable staff. Our salesman Mike B was very knowledgeable and took time to listen to what we wanted without pushing us one way or the other. Finance Manager Max M was also friendly, went over all the paperwork clearly, and explained very useful extended warranty options without all the nonsense other dealerships try to arm-twist you over. This car is so comfortable! The driver sits up high, with great sight lines in all directions. The seats are comfortable. The features are very intuitive. My car has automatic door locks so when I walk up to the car with my key fob, put my hand on the door handle the doors unlock. It has automatic headlight dimmer which works great. It has plenty of power for freeway acceleration. All wheel drives makes it great in snow. I’m very happy with this car.

The Forester is the first SUV I ever owned. It has had a few issues, but the dealership, Kenny Ross in Irwin Pa, has always been top notch in customer service. First issue was the orignal tires went bald after only 10,000 miles. I called Kenny Ross and they said they would contact corporate. Got 4 new tires at no charge. Next issue I did not even know I had. Took it in for an oil change and they tell me I need a new CVT. Didn't know I had a problem. No charge again. Last issue was a radio that kept giving an error message and would not work. Took four visits to isolate the problem, but now have a new radio that brings in more stations. Again for free. Highly recommend the bumper to bumper warranty. Money well spent.

I spotted a car I was interested in on Craigslist and came in to check it out. I was immediately presented with the CarFax and allowed to see the car. I live 2.5 hours away and was able to place a deposit and set up a day to finish the sale. My sales associate, Chase, was professional and responsive to emails. He had my paperwork ready to go when I arrived, and it was quick and easy (though I hope I'm not doomed to being hounded by the third-party extended warranty provider). I did not have an outside inspection done on my vehicle (the service records in the CarFax were pretty complete), but someone asked about having one done while I was there and it didn't seem to be a problem. I am happy with both my vehicle and the purchasing process.

This is my 4th Subaru! I love it. Never any problems. But it only has 24,000 ACTUAL miles on it! Well, its a good car! I'm eyeing a Subaru Ascent. It can pull a small camper and carry 7 passengers!

LOVE this car, maybe a little biased since this is my 5th Forester, my 2nd Wilderness. My first Wilderness was totaled in a head-on collision when a young driver spilled coffee and veered into my lane and struck me head-on. That was my 1st Subaru Forester Wilderness and IT SAVED MY LIFE. Full curtain all-around airbag deployment with a roll, the Wilderness coming to rest on it's right side, me still strapped into seatbelt, and the Subaru automatic crash notification with a live person on the speakers asking me if I was ok and needed 911! Smoke still coming from the airbag deployments, and there is a live person coming over the speakers asking me if I'm ok. It was surreal. SUBARU FORESTER WILDERNESS SAVED MY LIFE! TYVM Subaru! LOVE this car! Gets 25+ MPG with conservative driving, a great ride and suspension, superior traction in mud and snow, load-out practically anything/rack bikes (or whatever on the roof racks), sleep in the back with ample room, superior rear-gate lift mechanism with memory, seats super-comfortable and easily adjustable, solid rear-seat leg-room, easy rear-seat fold-downs for massive cargo area that takes my full HVAC tool load-out for servicing ice baths all over the NorthEast US. A great value, especially CPO with +10K mileage (vs. new) MONEY WELL SPENT! SUBARU FOR LIFE

I hate the back-and-forth of buying a car. There is none of that at Carmax. Prices are not negotiable but since you know how much a particular car is, you can shop around. I found the car I wanted was priced right compared to KBB and other listings with private and dealer sales. After I decided to purchase the car, I was out of there within 1 hour.

This is my third Subaru Forrester. I like the newer safety features and ease of handling. The size is perfect for me, not too small or too big! I would recommend if you’re looking for a midsize vehicle.

We narrowed our car search down to a couple Subaru models, and then used a local, unsanctioned Subaru website to research all the tradeoffs and options. When it came time to snag a specific car, we got quite a range of quotes from Western Washington dealers. Joe Spitz, at Carter Subaru Shoreline, offered a discounted price that was far less than the next lowest quote for the same car. His proposal wasn?t even in the same league as the much higher fixed prices used at some Subaru stores. So we got the exact vehicle package we were seeking, for a model that is in very high demand, and paid a deeply discounted price that made a joke of the ?true? car values listed by the various car buying websites. I have pretty high expectations when I?m about to be parting with a lot of money. Our sales consultant, Joe Spitz, impressed me as the kind of guy who eats, sleeps, and loves the Subaru brand. Joe not only exceeded all my expectations, but he also significantly lessened the amount of money I had to part with :)! I have a 2020 Forester with 19000 miles. I love it, especially as a tall and aging man. It it easy to drive, easy to get in and get out. Miles per gallon is great, typically well over 30 mpg in day to day city driving. I have noticed a number of complaints about batteries. I think in 2019-2020 they had a bad supplier of batteries. My experience was total battery failure at about 10000 miles. I had to purchase a replacement from AAA. Such stories were common during that period. I was irritated but received reimbursement even though it is not typical for a dealer/car company to do so. Smart dealers want to keep your business. The only other expenses were created by potholes knocking the car out of allignment and nails in parking lots puncturing the same tire twice! Sweep your xxxx parking lots retailers and restaurants.

Super easy transaction. No fuss. Alvin was super helpful, found the second key (essential to get Apple wallet key functional). Longest portion was filling out the paperwork.

Other than battery replacement , car has been amazing ! 1 exception cup holders are located too far aft and require driver to look down to locate cup without removing eyes from road ! This issue has been partially addressed in later years by offsetting passengers holder slightly forward of drivers, but still awkward position ! both should be more forward nearer to dash !

Went in Sunday with a crappy old BMW. Spoke with Miguel about a car I was interested in. Miguel talked straight with me on my trade in .He didn't talk above me or belittle me. He made me feel like a friend helping out a friend. The rest of the staff was awesome also. The finance dep bumped up my trade in above what it was worth just to get me to the monthly payments i needed to do the deal. A++ will go to them again.

This is a follow up review, I did have to change the head gaskets out on my 2010 forester. I've seen this is common, once again, the work is able to be done by a DIY mechanic. Since 2020 Ive had to change the ignition coil, spark plug wires, head gaskets in February of 2024, and also the crankshaft position sensor. The car had 165,000 miles when the head gaskets needed changed. So far it has 173,000 miles and still runs well. Also changed were the clutch and throwout beairng, and another timing belt change. It still runs very well, the exhaust is getting rusty and have had to fix that, overall its been a good car. I've owned it for 12 years and the ability to work on it yourself is what I really like about it, it isn't fast, but its quite utilitarian and my dog loves it as well. So if you don't mind working on your own stuff its one of the easiest cars to work on with the way the engine is oriented in the longitudinal position. I've always changed the oil every 4-5000 miles since I've had it, the heads and valves were completely clean. I'd say if one keeps up the servicing on these they are good vehicles to own. Not looking forward to when it blows, they don't make plain cars like this now adays.

I was between a rock and a hard place after my Honda passed away-it drove itself to its demise due to the handbrake not on tight enough. So I had nothing to trade, no leverage. I know Subarus owned many Outbacks and they go forever. The problem is I'm 5' tall and this car is too big for me after the Honda and a Miata I have. I had 2 big dogs and felt the car would be great for a dog owner. Which it is. One dog rode on the back seat (covered) the other had the back to herself. Great for a dog owner. If you need a crate there's plenty of room. This would be a great vehicle for a children or pet family. I only have one 10 yr old dog left and this uses too much gas for me to consider a practical vehicle.

In 40+ years of buying cars, this was may first experience with buying a used car from a dealer. From the moment I met the Sales Person Hussein until when I walked out the door with the keys, I felt calm and relaxed and honestly felt like these people cared and this car wasn't even a Subaru! I don't write a lot of reviews on the internet but this place deserves one. I could only imagine what it would be like if I bought a new car there. Go see Hussein!

I was impressed how well I can see out of the car at all angles. It is difficult for me to turn my body due to neck, hip and back problems. I am 5'10" and have very long legs. This car also has alot of head and leg room. My daughter rides comfortably in her booster seat in the middle seat. I feel I have more control and better handling with this car then any other. I have had a Honda Accord, Volvo XC90, Toyota Corolla and Cadillac Deville in recent years. My only complaint is the front seats are uncomfortable. (My other car is a Deville which feels like a recliner.) There isn't anything fancy about the car but I just have the base model. I am happy with all the features and the gas mileage is awesome. There is a ton on truck space.

Very dependable and reliable vehicle regardless of the terrain traveled. The perfect vehicle for older folks or those with knee problems. Seat height is perfect, you can slide in and out of the seat with ease. Smooth ride and overall great vehicle.
