I had to make a 5 1/2 hour drive recently and loved how smoothly my car drove, especially using cruise control with “eyesight” so it slowed when I was too close to the car in front of me. I have had a 21, 23 and now a 25 Subaru Forester Premium and over the years they have gotten better. I didn’t think I would like the large screen but now after two weeks of driving it, I’m loving it. It is a safe and reliable vehicle for small families and seniors like me.

I have owned my 2017 Forester since late 2016. Except for normal maintenance I've had no problems with thr vehicle. All of the warning systems work very well,they have saved me from accidents numerous times. The automatic seat repositioning when some one else has used my is really handy eliminates all the adjusting needed to get the position back to my needs. Traction and controll during winter and bad weather are excellent. My forrester get used like a truck at times. Great overall car.

I was between a rock and a hard place after my Honda passed away-it drove itself to its demise due to the handbrake not on tight enough. So I had nothing to trade, no leverage. I know Subarus owned many Outbacks and they go forever. The problem is I'm 5' tall and this car is too big for me after the Honda and a Miata I have. I had 2 big dogs and felt the car would be great for a dog owner. Which it is. One dog rode on the back seat (covered) the other had the back to herself. Great for a dog owner. If you need a crate there's plenty of room. This would be a great vehicle for a children or pet family. I only have one 10 yr old dog left and this uses too much gas for me to consider a practical vehicle.

Mechanically reliable. Decent gas mileage. Headrests block line of vision. Sideview mirrors can be difficult to adjust. The most uncomfortable seats of any automobile I have ever owned. Lots of cabin noise both city and highway driving.

Other than battery replacement , car has been amazing ! 1 exception cup holders are located too far aft and require driver to look down to locate cup without removing eyes from road ! This issue has been partially addressed in later years by offsetting passengers holder slightly forward of drivers, but still awkward position ! both should be more forward nearer to dash !

I am a driver and I drive for a living I go through cars a lot. I’ve owned this car for about 18 months. It has I bought it new and it now has about 17,000 miles on it. I love driving it. The safety features are excellent! The performance is good. I’m getting around 32 MPG for all around driving. I have the car maintained at the dealership and haven’t had any mechanical issues. I would definitely recommend this car.

Inquired on a BMW they had advertised, was quickly contacted via text by Melissa where we spoke for a bit and she answered all my questions. I recently had my car stolen and totaled. I actually work for the dealership and enjoy the work I do with the company. Mr krohn has been helping me out for the past month and a half with a car. I ended up getting a 2019 subaru forester. Lots of room and a perfect vehicle into the middle of my adult life. I hope this car lasts me through the next few years. We managed to come to an agreement and purchased the car we wanted. There was not much negotiation, but the car was well priced to begin with. We agreed to pay $500 additional in order to drive the car away and have our mechanic inspect it. We got a week to report any issues and could return the car for a full refund if not satisfied by any necessary repairs. Ultimately the car checked out and the only problem was a piece of windshield trim that flew off on the way home. We negotiated a $200 refund and got the repair done by our mechanic so we didn’t have to drive the car back to the dealer. So far, so good.

Great value considering the superior safety features, low maintenance and reliability. Rear wheel bearings have been replaced twice and just had the AC compressor and serpentine belt replaced. Albeit expensive repairs, all cars need something after the first 3 years. It's been 8 years and the car still run and drives like new.

Bought my 2015 Subaru 2.0XT Touring brand spanking new off the Subaru dealership's lot. Have owned it all this time about 9 years straight. Take care of your car with regular oil changes, servicing at recommended intervals, and your car will take care of you. Performed the required recalls during service periods. Not 1 single regret on owning this car, ever. It rides smooth and true. Had a clicking issue in the ball joints 2 years ago which Subaru fixed free of charge. Other than that, this car has been my dream machine.

This is my third Subaru Forrester. I like the newer safety features and ease of handling. The size is perfect for me, not too small or too big! I would recommend if you’re looking for a midsize vehicle.

I purchased the 2023 Wilderness trim in August and I chose it because I live in a very snowy and mountainous area. I certainly needed an upgrade from my trusty 2wd, low-clearance hatchback. I can watch the season change with more peace of mind with its high clearance, AWD and features like Starlink and X-mode ready to step in when called upon. I’m a huge fan of the vehicle’s exterior styling and the interior feels luxurious and durable. The cabin is well-insulated from engine and road noise. One drawback is that the sound system lacks depth even with the base turned all the way up (I don’t have the Harmon Kardon stereo option). I’ve never owned a car with a sunroof before and I love letting in extra daylight and looking up at the cliffs and trees during stops so I can’t imagine life without it, now. Even the low beam headlights provide clear-as-day visibility on the darkest nights, but I’d be worried about blinding other drivers so I’d give more follow distance. Many reviewers seem dissatisfied with its acceleration, but it hasn’t felt underpowered to me and I drive a Chevy Suburban for work. It feels like I’m barely touching the accelerator to cruise up steep grades, but I’m a leisurely driver so my expectations differ. :)

LOVE this car, maybe a little biased since this is my 5th Forester, my 2nd Wilderness. My first Wilderness was totaled in a head-on collision when a young driver spilled coffee and veered into my lane and struck me head-on. That was my 1st Subaru Forester Wilderness and IT SAVED MY LIFE. Full curtain all-around airbag deployment with a roll, the Wilderness coming to rest on it's right side, me still strapped into seatbelt, and the Subaru automatic crash notification with a live person on the speakers asking me if I was ok and needed 911! Smoke still coming from the airbag deployments, and there is a live person coming over the speakers asking me if I'm ok. It was surreal. SUBARU FORESTER WILDERNESS SAVED MY LIFE! TYVM Subaru! LOVE this car! Gets 25+ MPG with conservative driving, a great ride and suspension, superior traction in mud and snow, load-out practically anything/rack bikes (or whatever on the roof racks), sleep in the back with ample room, superior rear-gate lift mechanism with memory, seats super-comfortable and easily adjustable, solid rear-seat leg-room, easy rear-seat fold-downs for massive cargo area that takes my full HVAC tool load-out for servicing ice baths all over the NorthEast US. A great value, especially CPO with +10K mileage (vs. new) MONEY WELL SPENT! SUBARU FOR LIFE

Likes: spacious interior despite modest exterior dimensions, easy to maneuver, great visibility all around, comfortable ride, good traction, handling, and braking, nice interior finish on sport model, strong steering responsive headlights yet they don't blind opposing traffic, very good optional Harmon sound system, numerous effective safety features, low insurance premiums, adequate acceleration..a few cons: actual economy slightly under EPA estimates, seat may be a bit too firm for some but easy to address by adding a thin seat cushion, mandatory sunroof on all but the base model..I wish Subaru would just make that a single option..rough engine start-stop ..however I disable it each time I start engine so it can be a non issue...no reliability issues yet but since this has a cvt and fairly complex safety features, long term reliability is unknown..

I like the solid feel of the car and the sturdy and high ride. Good acceleration. It would be a better SUV if the ground clearance was at least 10” or 12”, with the exhaust pipe properly tucked away!

Next to top rating in Consumer Reports. Lives up to its rating 100%. Only concerns thus far, after three weeks of use. 1) takes time to learn use of various electrical and mechanical controls -- after 20+plus years of VW Jetta ownership, "a lot is different." Just have to be patient learning all the new features. 2) Auto-safety features (staying in lanes, braking distance warning, etc.) are helpful to some less-attentive drivers but annoying to this long-experienced user. Fortunately, they can be turned off and stop the chirping.

I couldn't be any happier than I was with my experience buying from Ben and Kenny at Topline Autoplex. Insanely reliable. Nothing needed to be replaced in the time I’ve had it, and its 20 years old! Currently at 146k miles. Hope to see my specific Forester reach up to the >250k miles mark like many others!

I bought my Subaru in 2023 because it only had 60,000 miles on the OD. It's the minimal 2.5X model, but I couldn't pass up the car at such a low price. After driving it for over a year, I put only 6000 miles on it. I took it to the Subaru dealer for NY state inspection, and had the brakes replaced, and paid for the 60000 mi Subaru recommended service. I love this car, especially since I can connect my iPod to the blue tooth and play my music library. It is a bit noisy on the highway, but it's not the luxury model, so that's expected. The Subaru dealer said everything on the car was real solid. So far it has been very dependable, and easy to drive in the snow. It has no leaks, no dents, no squeaks, no problems. I've owned and driven 8 Subaru's over the past 40 years, and I'm hoping to keep my 2013 model and drive it for at least another 10 years.

I've owned a 2011 Subaru Forester for years and it has been supremely dependable through northern Michigan weather. Super cold to humid and muggy, it's been a comfortable, reliable ride throughout.
