I was wanting to go to a simple newer v6 Ram from a diesel Ram and they had this red one! Quick contract signing as promised. Easy sales that let the Ram sell itself WITHOUT PRESSURE to buy! Christina was great to work with! Same for Grace in the signing paperwork. Took me 6 1/2 hours with local dealer(auto row off Mill Plain) on prior purchase. Not here! Quick nice and efficient. Hey, try their coffee! Good too! 😂 I’m impressed!

While we spent more than we wanted to on a new vehicle, we are very pleased with our new Forester. Performance is excellent and the ability to put a walker or wheelchair into the back is easy. I can also put two dog strollers in which is a big plus for me. Auto fold down rear seats are a bonus. Handling is a breeze and our dealership excels others. No complaints...

I have owned my 2017 Forester since late 2016. Except for normal maintenance I've had no problems with thr vehicle. All of the warning systems work very well,they have saved me from accidents numerous times. The automatic seat repositioning when some one else has used my is really handy eliminates all the adjusting needed to get the position back to my needs. Traction and controll during winter and bad weather are excellent. My forrester get used like a truck at times. Great overall car.

I had my oil changed at the Beaverton, OR location on 09/20/19. As I arrived, Adam was waiting for me, walked up to my car and greeted me with a positive smile. Also, Adam was very attentive and answered my question of when my next oil change is due, scheduled my future oil change right away. I respect Adam's customer service.

Had this car for seven years, never any problems, very low mileage. Very nice to drive, smooth gas mileage around 30 mpg. Traded it in for a new forester, I actually was ready to cry, when I left it. Very reliable.

My experience with CarMax was amazing! I bought my car in July 2020 and I love my car so so much!! Great value considering the superior safety features, low maintenance and reliability. Rear wheel bearings have been replaced twice and just had the AC compressor and serpentine belt replaced. Albeit expensive repairs, all cars need something after the first 3 years. It's been 8 years and the car still run and drives like new.

We found a great deal on their website and decided to go take a look. They were very courteous and made it really easy for us to make sure it was the car we wanted. They made the process hassle free and we were on the road in our new car in no time. They really made it easy without an pressure. Great experience and would definitely recommend them.

I’m the 3rd owner of a 2012 Subaru Forester purchased at approx 175,000 miles and it still runs pretty good! It does burn oil up pretty quickly and mine has issues with reading the levels and won’t give me a warning light so i check the dip stick often. Mine did have exhaust issues and had to replace a rested out piping from the cat back, but mufflers were still good. Also the Oxygen sensor was a problem for awhile, which you can only use on brand for it to work properly. Gas mileage is decent for the size of the vehicle and its age. Only wish the front seats went back more bc my taller girlfriend who is 5’11 with long legs struggles to fit and be comfortable in the passenger seat.

Other than battery replacement , car has been amazing ! 1 exception cup holders are located too far aft and require driver to look down to locate cup without removing eyes from road ! This issue has been partially addressed in later years by offsetting passengers holder slightly forward of drivers, but still awkward position ! both should be more forward nearer to dash !

April, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with purchase of our used Honda. Within a day or so discovered faulty VTC Actuator. We are from out of state and had to remain in area for repairs during the worst of the wildfires. But the amazing service manager Celine ( who was also covering jobs for absent co- workers) seemed to be able to make magic happen!!!! Within 30 minutes determined it was a repair that had to done at a local Honda dealer, arranged a ride to our RV for us, had our car taken to the Honda dealer. Knowing we could leave town and the awful smoke when the car was fixed she said she'd try her best to get our car back to us the next day which was a sat.( and her day off). Gave us her personal cell no. and set up in computer the details for our return ride to Carmax. Sat. was moving on but one call to Carmax for an update, they saw Celine had arranged everything for us to get our car on Sat. and BAM, magic happened!! Had our car within an hour, repairs completed, and we headed home to Florida. Yes, Carmax was great with fulfilling their warranty policy but it was Celine who put the efficient, professional, friendly face to implementing it. Thank-you Celine for being great at what you do!

I’ve owned this car for about 18 months. It has I bought it new and it now has about 17,000 miles on it. I love driving it. The safety features are excellent! The performance is good. I’m getting around 32 MPG for all around driving. I have the car maintained at the dealership and haven’t had any mechanical issues. I would definitely recommend this car.

One of the most comfortable cars I have owned. The things I love best. the reliability of the vehicle, only regular maintenance with higher miles, The huge moon roof, and the simple design of the interior of car. This car is loaded yet has very minimal control buttons which is perfect for me rather than trying to figure out how to operate everything. Best car I have ever owned especially buying used with high miles.

Bought my 2015 Subaru 2.0XT Touring brand spanking new off the Subaru dealership's lot. Have owned it all this time about 9 years straight. Take care of your car with regular oil changes, servicing at recommended intervals, and your car will take care of you. Performed the required recalls during service periods. Not 1 single regret on owning this car, ever. It rides smooth and true. Had a clicking issue in the ball joints 2 years ago which Subaru fixed free of charge. Other than that, this car has been my dream machine.

Excellent customer service especially from Patrick. He really takes care of the customer. Also their oil change service includes a couple videos of the highlights so you are completely keep informed. Amazing. Then they send you a form for approval of any additional work needed. You have total visibility and control. Impressive. Several years ago I would not have given this high of a rating but they have really stepped up their game. Highly recommended!

LOVE this car, maybe a little biased since this is my 5th Forester, my 2nd Wilderness. My first Wilderness was totaled in a head-on collision when a young driver spilled coffee and veered into my lane and struck me head-on. That was my 1st Subaru Forester Wilderness and IT SAVED MY LIFE. Full curtain all-around airbag deployment with a roll, the Wilderness coming to rest on it's right side, me still strapped into seatbelt, and the Subaru automatic crash notification with a live person on the speakers asking me if I was ok and needed 911! Smoke still coming from the airbag deployments, and there is a live person coming over the speakers asking me if I'm ok. It was surreal. SUBARU FORESTER WILDERNESS SAVED MY LIFE! TYVM Subaru! LOVE this car! Gets 25+ MPG with conservative driving, a great ride and suspension, superior traction in mud and snow, load-out practically anything/rack bikes (or whatever on the roof racks), sleep in the back with ample room, superior rear-gate lift mechanism with memory, seats super-comfortable and easily adjustable, solid rear-seat leg-room, easy rear-seat fold-downs for massive cargo area that takes my full HVAC tool load-out for servicing ice baths all over the NorthEast US. I leased my 2028 Forester from Subaru Portland about 2.5 years ago, which in and of itself was an easy and joyful experience, but I write today about the incredible service I have received from Subaru Portland since the signing of my lease. From routine oil changes and maintenance to body repair from an accident I was in two summers ago, the team at Subaru has made every possible experience simple and supportive. I am a single Mamma working 6 out of 7 days a week and a car is vital for transportation to and from work as well as the safe transportation of my toddler to a from a myriad of places. Subaru has always, every single time without fail, made sure that I was taken care of. From making sure that my vehicle is in tip top shape to providing transportation so that I do not skip a beat in regards to my professional and personal experience. My most recent experience with Subaru, however, was simply ABOVE AND BEYOND all expectations. My dog canopy belt had gotten stuck in my rear gate lock and jammed it up. I made an appt for early Monday, 3/29, to have it taken care of. My parents were in town from TN, and we like many others, hadn’t been together in over a year and a half. I really needed my car, and was pretty disappointed when I showed up Monday to find they were so backed up at Subaru that they weren’t even seeing cars until WEDNESDAY! Enter hero: Deseo Perez. At first he made a phone call to make sure they could get to it today. He put up with my (kind ish) dissatisfaction when he told me how much the techs cost per hour (I was in shock and disheartened that an improper close of my trunk was going to cost $$$), and honored my request for Subaru to take care of a Lyft even though it was company policy to only do that when a car is undergoing major work and repair. I begrudgingly agreed to the terms, but told Deseo I needed to get my kiddos car seat out of the car before they took it for the day. He told me to wait in the waiting room and he’d bring it around. 10 minutes later and Deseo is there pointing me to my parked car and informing me that he had FIXED IT HIMSELF, and that there would be no charge. He didn’t want me to have to pay or wait for such an easy, quick fix. He listened to me, heard my situation, and decided to be a beacon of kindness and light at a time where we are all so in need of just that. Thank you, Deseo!! You are an incredible, kind human being, and a bright force in this world. Your compassion is a beautiful thing, and so deeply appreciated. Subaru should know just how lucky they are to have an employee like you. Deseo made my day, maybe my month. This is my third Subaru Forrester. I like the newer safety features and ease of handling. The size is perfect for me, not too small or too big! I would recommend if you’re looking for a midsize vehicle.

I purchased the 2023 Wilderness trim in August and I chose it because I live in a very snowy and mountainous area. I certainly needed an upgrade from my trusty 2wd, low-clearance hatchback. I can watch the season change with more peace of mind with its high clearance, AWD and features like Starlink and X-mode ready to step in when called upon. I’m a huge fan of the vehicle’s exterior styling and the interior feels luxurious and durable. The cabin is well-insulated from engine and road noise. One drawback is that the sound system lacks depth even with the base turned all the way up (I don’t have the Harmon Kardon stereo option). I’ve never owned a car with a sunroof before and I love letting in extra daylight and looking up at the cliffs and trees during stops so I can’t imagine life without it, now. Even the low beam headlights provide clear-as-day visibility on the darkest nights, but I’d be worried about blinding other drivers so I’d give more follow distance. Many reviewers seem dissatisfied with its acceleration, but it hasn’t felt underpowered to me and I drive a Chevy Suburban for work. It feels like I’m barely touching the accelerator to cruise up steep grades, but I’m a leisurely driver so my expectations differ. :)

Jeremy was accommodating and responsive, even in touch on his days off, and Jessica went above and beyond to make sure that I didn't have to wait to sign paperwork. Both were prompt and followed through immediately - really good experience.

I bought my Subaru in 2023 because it only had 60,000 miles on the OD. It's the minimal 2.5X model, but I couldn't pass up the car at such a low price. After driving it for over a year, I put only 6000 miles on it. I took it to the Subaru dealer for NY state inspection, and had the brakes replaced, and paid for the 60000 mi Subaru recommended service. I love this car, especially since I can connect my iPod to the blue tooth and play my music library. It is a bit noisy on the highway, but it's not the luxury model, so that's expected. The Subaru dealer said everything on the car was real solid. So far it has been very dependable, and easy to drive in the snow. It has no leaks, no dents, no squeaks, no problems. I've owned and driven 8 Subaru's over the past 40 years, and I'm hoping to keep my 2013 model and drive it for at least another 10 years.

We had been shopping around for a couple weeks for a used Q5. These guys were super easy to work with; they set up test drives for whatever we wanted and were really low key. Not sure I've ever been less pressured to buy a car at a dealership before. When we decided what we wanted, there wasn't the usual haggling or chatting with managers. They asked us what we wanted for our trade in and matched Kelly Blue Book trade in value without issue. After the purchase was complete, we noticed that an oil change was needed in a few hundred miles. They told us that their shop would contact us to complete this work on them; appointment is tomorrow. Great customer service from laid back and competent people. The entire process (start to finish) couldn't have been much more than an hour. Would definitely come back to buy a car in the future.

Great car for snow and icy conditions. The car is solid. Engine and transmission are solid. Spacious and comfort. Mileage is decent I can get 27 mpg in highway.

This is a follow up review, I did have to change the head gaskets out on my 2010 forester. I've seen this is common, once again, the work is able to be done by a DIY mechanic. Since 2020 Ive had to change the ignition coil, spark plug wires, head gaskets in February of 2024, and also the crankshaft position sensor. The car had 165,000 miles when the head gaskets needed changed. So far it has 173,000 miles and still runs well. Also changed were the clutch and throwout beairng, and another timing belt change. It still runs very well, the exhaust is getting rusty and have had to fix that, overall its been a good car. I've owned it for 12 years and the ability to work on it yourself is what I really like about it, it isn't fast, but its quite utilitarian and my dog loves it as well. So if you don't mind working on your own stuff its one of the easiest cars to work on with the way the engine is oriented in the longitudinal position. I've always changed the oil every 4-5000 miles since I've had it, the heads and valves were completely clean. I'd say if one keeps up the servicing on these they are good vehicles to own. Not looking forward to when it blows, they don't make plain cars like this now adays.

Very reliable for the 2010 2.5 limited I bought used in 2023 with 196k miles. very sporty feel and look, quick response and the automatic was quiet even when pushed, acceleration on the base engine was awesome and driving was lots of fun. the leather seats are incredible although the lack of dual zone as an option was disappointing. The brakes were somewhat uninspiring but got the job done, and the steering feel and moonroof were awesome. Gas mileage is decent even in 2024 but was somewhat low in comparison to the 2010 outback at 22 city and 27 highway, at 17 city and 21 highwayI for the forester 2010 . I got in a high speed accident and cabin intrusion was non existent and all occupants got out uninjured. Best car I've ever had, would buy over any other Subaru new or used.

Donavan was my sales person while purchasing my vehicle. He was such a joy to work with. We came in late and Donavan stayed with a happy attitude past his end of day and meticulously went over all the features of my car. My husband and I were very pleased with all the sales staff we worked with, and will definitely refer a friend. It's difficult for me to describe purchasing a car as a fun experience, but Subaru of Portland nailed it!!

Next to top rating in Consumer Reports. Lives up to its rating 100%. Only concerns thus far, after three weeks of use. 1) takes time to learn use of various electrical and mechanical controls -- after 20+plus years of VW Jetta ownership, "a lot is different." Just have to be patient learning all the new features. 2) Auto-safety features (staying in lanes, braking distance warning, etc.) are helpful to some less-attentive drivers but annoying to this long-experienced user. Fortunately, they can be turned off and stop the chirping.

Their direct communication and empathy towards me was very helpful. I failed to communicate effectively.

I've had three other Subarus and this one is my favorite. One of the best parts about this car is how spacious it feels inside. The tall roof combined with the panoramic sunroof bring the outside in and make for a happy drive. It also has the famous Subaru boxer engine and AWD. Road noise is a bit louder than competitors, but that's ok to me because it makes the ride more fun. Also like the Eyesight suite of safety features. It adds a level of confidence to my commute. It also holds a lot of cargo when it needs to do it.

I brought my SUV in for a repair on 11/19/24. Josh Baldwin, the service manager, was very proactive communicating with me via text on the diagnosis, estimated cost to repair, and estimated time to repair. Their technician made a video showing and explaining where the problem was and what was needed to fix it. Their entire service process felt open and honest, unlike other dealers' service departments I've dealt with.

I like the solid feel of the car and the sturdy and high ride. Good acceleration. It would be a better SUV if the ground clearance was at least 10” or 12”, with the exhaust pipe properly tucked away!
