We narrowed our car search down to a couple Subaru models, and then used a local, unsanctioned Subaru website to research all the tradeoffs and options. When it came time to snag a specific car, we got quite a range of quotes from Western Washington dealers. Joe Spitz, at Carter Subaru Shoreline, offered a discounted price that was far less than the next lowest quote for the same car. His proposal wasn?t even in the same league as the much higher fixed prices used at some Subaru stores. So we got the exact vehicle package we were seeking, for a model that is in very high demand, and paid a deeply discounted price that made a joke of the ?true? car values listed by the various car buying websites. I have pretty high expectations when I?m about to be parting with a lot of money. Our sales consultant, Joe Spitz, impressed me as the kind of guy who eats, sleeps, and loves the Subaru brand. Joe not only exceeded all my expectations, but he also significantly lessened the amount of money I had to part with :)! His candid and thorough response to my questions, and his use of just the right amount of humor, made the buying process downright enjoyable. He has really earned my respect. This car is fully loaded and had low mileage very comfortable ride beautiful interior everything you need in a daily driver it’s not a speedster but it will get you to where you going comfortably and in style I highly recommend this car.

I bought this car with about 88K miles on it. I knew with Subaru’s once they hit 100K+ they would require maintenance. I spent a bit over $9K for my car and have spent roughly right around the same to get it running the way it should be. The most recent problem was having to rebuild my entire engine due to major oil leaks. This car will last you a long time if you take care of it from the get go. Do not listen to dealerships and take it in for an inspection ASAP if you decide to purchase.

I appreciated the process this time, I did my homework and was pre-approved thru a credit union. I'm still in that learning phase with my car but I'm happy with it.

Front mid console is a bit awkward in placement, making it difficult to put two drinks in the designed locations. Its also awkward for the passenger to open the compartment because the fit is too close to the front seats. The lack of any dedicated sunglass compartment is frustrating. How about as part of the overhead info center?

Went in Sunday with a crappy old BMW. Spoke with Miguel about a car I was interested in. Miguel talked straight with me on my trade in .He didn't talk above me or belittle me. He made me feel like a friend helping out a friend. The rest of the staff was awesome also. The finance dep bumped up my trade in above what it was worth just to get me to the monthly payments i needed to do the deal. A++ will go to them again.

I'd like to echo what Bill Taraday said about working with Brittany New. She's incredible! We came in to test drive the Subaru Forester, and was quickly impressed at her wealth, and depth of knowledge. Once she understood my priorities, she made some additional recommendations, which were spot on. I came back and purchased a used VW with Brittany's help, and never felt pressured. This is a terrific car for someone who wants a reliable, economical car that's great in snow and ice, and gets excellent gas milage. To help maximize your mpg just watch the dashboard meter that tells you when you're getting the best mpg possible. If you're not (like the reviewer who said he got only 18 mpg) then you're driving too fast and you can't blame the car for that! I love my Subaru!

We live in Burien, so this was not the closest Subaru dealership, but we liked it a lot better than the one in Renton. I hate shopping for and buying cars, but I felt that Carter made it as painless as possible. We worked with Bryan Deando, who was wonderful. We ended up with a certified preowned Impreza, which I'm very happy with. Everyone was very friendly, it seemed very low pressure, and Bryan was very well-informed. We were looking for a pre-owned Certified Forester. Carter Subaru in Shoreline had the car we had been looking for, for over 3 months. Steve, the salesman was kind, not pushy and very knowledgeable of all the tech on our 19 Forester. The purchasing process was easy. We were in and out in less than an hour. It was worth the 3-hr drive from our home in north central WA to Shoreline. Our (my wife's) Outback has a LOT more miles than our (my) "new" 19 Forester, so when our Outback wears out we will be giving Steve a call to find another Outback for my wife. Its been more reliable than anything I’ve owned so far . Not very comfortable at times ! the steering wheels a little cold in the winter but its not the luxury model . The manual transmisions smooth shifting is perfect 5 speed to get you down the road!

I recommend this car very much for harsh conditions such as hard rain, snow, etc. And does pretty good in both commuting and having fun, it has its own car issues as any other car but still is very reliable.

This car served us well for commuting and errands. It has been a reliable basic car. It has great cargo capacity for a small car and is easy to park in congested neighborhoods. Brakes are all new -- pads, rotors and calipers -- at the beginning of last winter.

I always feel very safe with Vermont winters. Always feel I have control even in inclement weather! I love all the standard features and feel safe driving my grandchildren in this car.
