Used Subaru Legacy for sale near Prairie Grove, IL under $40,000

I was planning to buy a luxury brand and test drove the BMW 3 series, the Audi A4, and the Lexus ES300. I then, due to reviews on Consumer Reports, tested the Subaru Legacy in it's top form, the Touring XT with a 260 HP engine, and I was blown away. Almost as quick as the BMW but rode smoother and quieter. Not as smooth and quiet as the Lexus, but more fun to drive. The Audi seemed cramped and the dealer was a disappointment. The Legacy interior was the most attractive in my opinion, has 4 wheel drive, a great sound system, and ended up being my favorite of the 4 cars, regardless of price. When you consider how competitive (or better) the Legacy is compared to the other 3 cars, and that I saved $13,000 on the price, it was a no brainer. It's really sad the Legacy is being discontinue, but all my comments also apply to the Outback Touring XT. The Legacy is a great car at a bargain price.

My third Subaru and like the others is attractive and roomy enough to fit 5. I've hauled 8ft boards inside with the doors/trunk closed (only an Outback would hold more). The (now sadly discontinued) 6-cyl engine has about 51000 miles now and is smooth and sounds better than a four. Fuel economy is decent and, on regular gas, averages in the low 20s. It has all the 'nannies' which make driving safer for me. I just love looking at my car which is important to me. This one's a keeper!

Had to find car quickly. I asked for no nonsense pricing and was able to get a new Outback with 0.9 financing and was out within an hour or so. Great customer service.

from the first day I had it I haven’t had any issues with it as it handles great and gas economy is awesome. I don’t have a negative to write. I drove Lincoln’s for the last 20 or more years and because they stopped making cars and only Crossovers or SVU’s, I searched high and low to find an equivalent car and googled all the options that were a must and the Subaru Legacy Elite came up and my husband and I went to look and drove out with our new car and couldn’t be happier. The ride is comfortable and the car is just great.

Will Rivera was very friendly easy to talk to. Greeted us at door and made us feel comfortable in the test drive and while waiting for the paperwork.

Ride Is very comfortable and good gas mileage And great for value I would by another one of those any time to ride around good.

The sales Mando is nice and patient. The whole experience is speedy and pleasant. I was able to shop for the car I want with minimum effort.

9/27/2022 - Rick P. at Kenosha Toyota is a great person. He is an honest and straight forward specialist, providing me with all the information available. There is no pressure in buying anything there. They are always very social able and you always feel good leaving the dealership whether you buy a car there or not. Their customer service is great and it is what all car dealerships should be like. My old Rav4 just had a blow head gasket. I urgently needed a new car. I went to multiple dealership nearby and was expected to pay over $10,000 in fees that was not unnecessary. Mark up fees of $4,500, ceramic coating (that it is already applied at the manufacturing plant and I have to pay for it) service fee of $1,800. I was very upset leaving those dealerships knowing well that they were screwing me over for bogus fees even though I didn't buy a car there. At Kenosha Toyota, I couldn't be any happier. I purchased a car that I felt good paying for it. I felt good that I was not screwed by them and felt the pressure to buy. If you are looking for a new car, see what Kenosha Toyota has in inventory and visit them first before you go to the other dealers. Nice car and great finish. We are pleased with everything, but would like the mileage we are experienced is less than advertised. The interior clock and outside temperature readings are in conveniently located. Other than that the car is A-1. Great value for the money.

I have bought my last few Subarus from this dealership even though it is further from my home than at least 3 other Subaru dealers. They always seem willing to make me a nice deal on a new car, and they go above and beyond making the the process fast and convenient. Further, the sales representative with whom I worked, Reid Stanley, was accommodating, calm, not pushy, helpful and informative. Really everything one would wish for in a sales associate.

Bought the Legacy Touring XT model. Previously owned Lexus and Infinitis, and this is a good or better than those cars. Smooth handling and responsive engine/ride. Dashboard is easier to use than expected. Nice connection to Airplay. Speakers are great. Safety systems are very good. Leather is luxurious. I would never have selected this car if I didn't already own a Forrester, which is also well built. I feel like I bought a luxury car for a 15K discount if not more

I wouldn't take my time to write this review, but after I saw the negative reviews I decided to share my opinion. I had a great experience at Herz and I always send anyone asking there. Today a friend of mine showed me the bad reviews on this website and asked me if I am sure that this is the place. I showed him great reviews that Hertz has on other websites and decided to write this one.We purchased 2017 Altima and they even called us when they received the second key. THere was no presure for getting warranty, etc and we got a great rate. You should go and check for yourself.

The 2021 Legacy is improved comfort riding, leg room, the dashboard is digitalized at greater extend. the Charcoal gray color is awesome, looks very elegant. I like the new wheel design and interior changes that add a luxury look that my 2019 did not have.

Coming from another dealer closer to home I had discovered Fields BMW in Northfield. Their customer service is top notch to other BMW dealers I have been to and I have since taken my service and sales business here and have leased my past two vehicles with Fields Auto Group. Ask for Carrie Shapiro, senior client advisor and she will take the upmost care of you! Everyone in the service department is pleasant to work with! In the past have worked with Jerry M., Ed P, and Chris Goodrich and they all take care of you with the same level of care.

I drive eighty miles round trip to work. My Legacy is quiet, comfortable and the Eye Sight is great! I’m safe and secure knowing my Subaru has my back. I’d like better mpg but at 32 on average I guess I shouldn’t complain. Love my Subie!
