New and used 2025 Subaru Outback for sale near Langley Park, MD

In Dec. 2015 Glenn Landstrom helped me buy the best car I've ever had, a Subaru Crosstrek at Wallace Subaru, Johnson City, TN. I will never forget how excellent Glen's customer service skills were/are. I give him my highest rating.

Last November I drove my 2018 Outback Premium (which I loved) to the local dealer to test drive a 2025 Limited XT and get the complimentary $50 Visa card they were promoting at the time, and ended up driving back in the new XT. Following are my impressions after 10 months of ownership. We're big fans of Subaru's safety tech. My wife's car is a 2023 Forester, and the Reverse Automatic Braking has saved her from at least one accident. Her previous car was a 2021 Hyundai Tucson, and its reverse sensors seemed like they never worked. If safety is a priority, you won't find many manufacturers that beat Subaru (same for their all wheel drive system). The newer generation EyeSight system is superior to the 2018's. I would commonly turn off the Pre-Collision Braking on the 2018 (which was easy with the physical switch unlike the virtual switch accessible only through the head unit on the 2025) since I found it to be oversensitive when I was following someone making a right turn. The 2018 would prematurely brake which I feared could lead to being rear ended. My 2025 does not have the same issue, and while it has given me a blinking/beeping warning in the dash display in similar situations, it has not started actually braking like the 2018. For me, I have found I only get warnings from the car when my driving actually warrants it. The extra power of the 2.4L turbo (XT) was a big selling point, although I feel it's not mated to the CVT as well as the non-turbo 2.5L. There is noticeable throttle lag with the XT which you have to get used to, but man, it really moves after that momentary lag. I never found my 2018 non-turbo to be underpowered, but I definitely love the extra punch of the turbo. One of my biggest hesitancies with the 2025 was all the touchscreen buttons/menus of the head unit, but the joy of driving the car has softened my annoyance. Since I don't feel the need to shut off any safety features, I never have to look for them in the head unit menus. When I start the car, I only turn off the auto start/stop with the dedicated button at the bottom of the screen and wait the usual 20-30 seconds for the head unit to fully boot up giving the turbo/engine time to get lubricated before I put her into drive. I'm a big fan of wireless Android Auto and have found it to be very stable (and much better than the wireless dongles I tried with the 2018). I use the automatic climate control 99% of the time, so I don't miss the physical buttons and knobs in the dash (all I need are temperature up/down which ARE physical buttons). It's a great cruising vehicle with a great ride, and I look forward to packing the family inside for extended road trips. I'm happy we have the last year of the "wagon" generation of Outbacks and plan to keep it for many enjoyable miles.

My overall experience with Neil Huffman has been OK. They haven't done anything to make them stand above the rest nor any worse. One gripe that I have with all dealerships though is the time it takes to complete the sale. It took over 2 hours from the time we agreed on the price for the new vehicle until we started signing the paperwork. Again that's pretty common with buying a car but still excessive. My daughter also had already bought a used VW from Neil Huffman and had an issue with it on day one. The issue was that the Engine Oil level low light came on. They told her that the sensor needed to be reset and everything was OK. Shortly after leaving the dealership the light returned. I checked the oil level and found that it was in fact low (has the light indicated). The car was serviced and she has not had an issue since. I have a few maintenance visits for the car that I bought so I'll see how it goes, but for now I'm not to impressed with them from that prospective.

This is our third Outback. Seats could be better. Sit in a VW or Volvo and you'll see how they could be improved. Window buttons should located in a place where a dog can't stem on them. They moved the heated seat buttons. Our dog no longer steps on those.

We replaced our 2015 Outback with a 2025 Outback Limited. Decided to stay with Subaru as we had good reliability in the 125,000 miles on the 2015. Normal maintenance, only 3 minor warranty issues early. The new car is one model trim higher than the previous one. The only real complaint would be the "auto engine shutoff," but that is easily turned off. I prefer the built-in look of the center display versus the tacked-on tablet on top of the dash. We had hoped to wait and see the new 2026 model but from the photos at the NY auto show debut I was not a fan of some of the changes. I should note we also have a 2021 Ascent Limited which we enjoy traveling with.

This is my 4th Outback, so that in and of itself should say something. This is a 2025 Outback Touring XT with the turbo charged 2.4 liter motor and CVT transmission. I love this car, one of what I consider to be one of the last true wagons. Plenty of room, soft ride and safe. Subaru’s safety and reliability are the main reason I keep buying them. Mileage is pretty good considering the AWD and turbo charger. Plenty of pep. I’m averaging about 25-26 in mixed rural driving. Previous one got about 31 mpg on the highway. I’m not heavy footed so that helps. Substantial leg room in the rear seat. This model has all the bells and whistles as it’s their top of the line model. Plenty of room behind rear seat also for luggage and groceries. To me it’s just as comfortable as higher end cars at a substantially lower price point. At $45,000 MSRP can’t really go wrong in my opinion. My only complaint if you will is that it lacks a 360 degree camera and the infotainment center lags a bit on start up. Neither of these are a deal breaker for me

Great performance from the 2.4 liter Turbo, great handling. Seats are very comfortable and supportive, dash layout is great and the 11.6" display has all the information that you need.

There was an issue a couple of months after purchasing our new car so we brought it in to have it looked at. The process to find the problem was a bit long but I have to say that Vince the General Manager and Keith the Service Manager were so easy to work with and figured it out! Our sales advisor, Leo was awesome. He was kind, considerate and very accommodating. Most of all, he knew everything about the vehicle and explained in detail. We visited Giles Volvo 12 years ago. We stood in the showroom for 30 minutes and no one acknowledged us or offered to help. We left, drove to Baton Rouge and left same day with a Lexus. We’ve purchased 5 Lexus vehicles during that time and referred 3 friends who also made a purchase. I decided to give Giles another chance. This time the experience was totally different. We were greeted by Leo within a minute of walking in. Leo has restored my faith in Giles and is a great asset to their organization. I will refer friends and family and anyone interested in purchasing a new vehicle to Leo. The only suggestion I would give would be to give a few Volvo branded items with the purchase. I have many Lexus whiskey glasses, mugs, tote bags and umbrellas. Pulling out a Lexus umbrella and wearing my Lexus watch now feels like I’m cheating on my new Volvo 😂.

We purchased a 2021 CPO Ascent on Sunday July 27th. The next day, the A/C failed. We advised the dealer, and they picked it up Tuesday. Needless to say, we were unhappy. It took a few days to diagnose and get fixed. We picked it up yesterday, and all is good. The dealer obtained a wholesale cost 5-year bumper to bumper 105k miles warranty at a discount we are paying off without interest over 10 months. It is the warranty they use regularly. Started out bad, but ended okay.

I searched a 500 mile radius from Indianapolis for the best value in a late model F150. I found it at McDaniel Toyota. When our old Subaru broke down driving back from Jackson Hole to Tahoe, we had no idea how we were getting home. Luckily, thanks to Sarah and the team at Wackerli Subaru, they got us hooked up with a 2020 Subaru Impreza with low miles for a very fair price. Sarah was very patient with us as we searched other dealerships and figured out logistics. At the end of the day, Sarah made a very stressful situation that we wouldn’t forget for bad reasons, a great memory that my girlfriend and I can look back at with a laugh. My friend recommended the Reynolds Subaru Dealership in Lyme and his Sales person, Sandy. She did a great job for me and told me Jason would be in touch to help me with connecting my garage door opener with the new car. A couple of days later, Jason showed up. A college student and part-time Reynolds employee, he went right to work educating me on all the ins and outs of the controls and hooked up BOTH my garage door openers.
