I've never owned a Subaru before but after purchasing the Forester, I may never own anything but a Subaru again! I love the Eyesight Drivers Assistant that it came equipped with. I can see why this car has one of the best safety ratings out there. The interior is very open, spacious, & comfortable and the panoramic sunroof is amazing! It drives and handles like a dream. I would recommend this car to anyone. You won't be disappointed!

I have owned my 2017 Forester since late 2016. Except for normal maintenance I've had no problems with thr vehicle. All of the warning systems work very well,they have saved me from accidents numerous times. The automatic seat repositioning when some one else has used my is really handy eliminates all the adjusting needed to get the position back to my needs. Traction and controll during winter and bad weather are excellent. My forrester get used like a truck at times. Great overall car.

The Crosstrek was the most reliable car I ever had and it never failed to get me somewhere, even in deep snow and ice in very rural areas. In fact, I liked this one so much, I bought a newer model as my next car. The AWD, comfort, and ease of drive of this car is excellent,

I love my car. 5 speed with 20k miles. Ive put on another 100k. I have taken this little AWD car places most people dont drive their 4x4’s. But I am meticulous about maintenance. I’ve never had a single issue with anything other than a thermostat replacement and A/C recharge. With the manual I don’t have to worry about a crap cvt. The first clutch lasted 118,000 miles. The only issue was the trust bearing, the clutch was still good. You cant beat a manual AWD that gets 30+ mpg IMO. Take care of the car and it will take care of you.

Talked back and forth with Ann via email, on the phone Friday morning. Friday I went to my bank and left with the check to buy my new car. I’m a Kia sorento fan, this car is everything I wanted. The interior is mint. Drives like a dream. I love the fact they offer a warranty and have other options to upgrade the warranty. Ann and Dave are amazing and trustworthy. I can highly recommend this car. I bought it because I felt AWD was essential for me in the winters, but mostly because I wanted a wagon or hatchback with a manual transmission and AWD. Turns out the options are limited but I found a decent used 2016 Sport Limited at the second dealership I stopped at, and took it for a test drive on the spot. I have been more than satisfied. In my opinion the handling is amazing, it handles like a go cart in corners, i can throw it into corners at much higher speeds than I ever expected. It never hiccups. I have barely ever been able to even get the thing to the edge of the traction, when it does start to break loose it is very neutral, with a slight tendency to oversteer, never a hint of losing control. I have never had the brakes overheat or fade, even on 20 miles blasts down winding country roads at 70-90mph. It really amazes me. I never guessed the steering was electric either. The shift is nice and feels solid, but easy to use, I have never missed a gear yet. I r the sound of the boxer engine to, nice and throaty. Lots of room inside, seats are comfy and you can adjust drivers ride height. It has a timing chain instead of a belt, so no worries about that. The only complaints I have are that it lacks power and it needs a 6th gear. You can reach high enough speeds, and maintain them, but if you let it slow down, it really lacks the power to get it back up again. It is fine at low speeds, quite peppy, but for passing on highways it can be very difficult to find safe spaces to pass, and you have to downshift on hills. It also is geared quite low, so at 80mph the tach is sitting above 3,000rpm, which made me uncomfortable until I got used to it, and doesn't help fuel economy at all. It also struggles to get over about 110mph, although as always, it tracks straight and smooth and feels perfectly safe and comfortable at triple digits, even in the hill country (around here even the interstate is not straight). Except the engine up to about 4500 or 5000 rpm at those speeds. At a mere 80 it just eats it up without a murmur. The road noise is also quite loud and it seems harsh on bumps compared to some cars, though that seems to be mostly c in the 17inch wheels and relatively low profile tires. The speakers are only decent. The only other thing that comes to mind is the engine temp light that comes on to warn you that the engine is not up to operating temp yet(I guess they understand that most Subarus are bought for winter drivers). It is a bright blue light the exact same color as a high beam indicator light, which is very distracting when you start out driving at night, because you constantly think your high beams are on. I am very tempted to mask it off entirely. Oh and it has hill start assist which is nice and works pretty well, but you can disable it with only minor annoyance (if you don't mind an orange warning light being on permanently). I shut mine off because I was more used to not having one, and the first couple times I stopped at a light and took my foot off the brake thinking I was on level ground, only to have the car start rolling slowly after the hill stop disengaged after 2 seconds turned me off on it. I would rather know instantly if my car is going to roll, before I get distracted changing the song.

My boyfriend and I don't speak English very well. But the assistants in Carmax are very patient. They helped us a lot. We bought the BMW x3 and are satisfied with it.

Had this car for 10 years not a problem (touch wood ) 😊 CVT all good until now . Really recommend this car for a daily drive. Exterior is way nicer then the 2.0 personal preference

I inherited the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek Limited from my wife. She ended up getting another Forester. Needless to say, I never picked this car for myself. However, the Subaru Brand and this Crosstrek has won me over. The AWD system works perfectly in the snowy Northern New York climate. With dedicated winter tires, I have complete confidence in my ability to keep it through the worst Lake Effect snow. The ground clearance allows me to drive easily on unloved roads with ease. I don't use X-Mode often, but it does help for going uphill on snowy roads or times when the snow is pretty deep. I've never been stuck or stranded with this car. The power train is adequate enough for highway and secondary roads. There are times when merging or attempting to pass, where I wished it had more power. (Drove a loaner 2020 Limited with the 2.5L, that is the perfect power train for the Crosstrek) I have never had any issues with the CVT transmission, but it does take some getting used to. The interior is fine. The gauges, screens and buttons are laid out well. I can find everything with ease and non of the buttons are in odd places. The factory speakers are lacking, but this model doesn't not have the upgraded stero option. Andriod auto works well. Seats are comfortable but do not have much lumbar support. Bolstered well and the headrest has a big range of adjustments. At 70k, I noticed the first crack in the synthetic leather bolster. The Limited trim is equipped with LED headlamps and they are truly fantastic. I rarely find myself using the hi-beams. The turning headlamps are very helpful with visibility when turning. Excellent all around. Eyesight and adaptive cruise works well and I have never had any issues. Only minor hiccups when snow, rain, fog or very bright oncoming light will trip Eyesight off. After a minute, it turns itself on. Overall this car is everything I needed and I never knew it. Reliable, fuell efficient, capable in snow and light off-road situations. It had enough utility space for anything I have ever hauled. Truly impressed with this little car. I plan on keeping it for the long haul. You won't be disappointed.

I own several American cars in the past and I'll never buy another American car again after buying this Subaru. I feel a lot safer and a lot more comfortable in the Subaru Crosstrek than I ever felt in any American car built that I ever drove

Safe and efficient. My daughter uses it for school 1,000 miles away. I feel very good about its safety and reliability. She is into the outdoors and has made several camping trips. Never had a problem. Subaru service s also very good.

It's as close to perfect as it could get without rolling off the factory line. Plenty of room and excellent gas mileage with all wheel drive make this the perfect all year vehicle.

Bought my Crosstrek from the dealer, and have owned many cars, raced cars, built cars, and even owned my own auto repair shop. The 2013 was first year out, and yes it has improved over the years so I can't leave a 5-star review. The strong points for me have been reliability and looks. Secondary has been a 4cyl with great gas mileage, and decent performance. Interior noise is a little higher than an SUV like a 4Runner, sound system sucks, and Subaru probably should have mated it with a turbo, but overall it has been a great ride, and Subaru fixed many of these issues in later editions. The AWD is amazing in the rain! For those that have the oil consumption in later years, just add engine "restore", and the issue is solved. Replace your bearing w/ the backing plates, and you should be good to go for another 100K. For the first year out, Subaru did an amazing job.

I bought my 2009 forester with 200k on the click. She was well locked after but has a few scratches here and there but paint work is still beautiful. Performance is great but she is heavy on fuel. This is expected from an AWD as the engine is pulling all 4 wheels continuously at the same time. No oil leaks, aircon works well. The only major issue I have had was the thermostat falling. I caused my radiator to crack due to pressure building up. I removed it and she is running perfectly. I live at the coast in South africa so our winter temp never drop below 10° and our summer average at 30°. Overall, I'll will be buying another forester with it's great space and power....love it

The process was made easy from start to finish. I called and told them what I could do from a budget perspective. No sales pitch, no aggressive tactics. First visit was a test drive and second completed the deal. Easiest purchase and would definitely recommend.

I was impressed how well I can see out of the car at all angles. It is difficult for me to turn my body due to neck, hip and back problems. I am 5'10" and have very long legs. This car also has alot of head and leg room. My daughter rides comfortably in her booster seat in the middle seat. I feel I have more control and better handling with this car then any other. I have had a Honda Accord, Volvo XC90, Toyota Corolla and Cadillac Deville in recent years. My only complaint is the front seats are uncomfortable. (My other car is a Deville which feels like a recliner.) There isn't anything fancy about the car but I just have the base model. I am happy with all the features and the gas mileage is awesome. There is a ton on truck space.

My Forester was due for an upgrade. Cassandra made my life easier, by getting my into a new Forester. She was so kind and helpful. It was a pleasure doing business with her. From my older Forester, I knew the service department was really great. It’s nice to know everyone there is just as special.

Great value considering the superior safety features, low maintenance and reliability. Rear wheel bearings have been replaced twice and just had the AC compressor and serpentine belt replaced. Albeit expensive repairs, all cars need something after the first 3 years. It's been 8 years and the car still run and drives like new.

I was between a rock and a hard place after my Honda passed away-it drove itself to its demise due to the handbrake not on tight enough. So I had nothing to trade, no leverage. I know Subarus owned many Outbacks and they go forever. The problem is I'm 5' tall and this car is too big for me after the Honda and a Miata I have. I had 2 big dogs and felt the car would be great for a dog owner. Which it is. One dog rode on the back seat (covered) the other had the back to herself. Great for a dog owner. If you need a crate there's plenty of room. This would be a great vehicle for a children or pet family. I only have one 10 yr old dog left and this uses too much gas for me to consider a practical vehicle.

We worked with salesman Dan DeJesus. Dan was very friendly and attentive. He was immediate with his communication and was very active in making our experience with Acura a great experience. The only fallback was the time we spent (after making our appointment) to finalize the deal. Maybe the dealership might want to consider having more staff at this task. Also the car was not detailed ( as we had requested) on pickup. All repairs requested to complete the vehicle sale were performed. Time will tell if repairs were adequate.

I went from owning a 2003 Monte Carlo SS to a 2017 Subaru Outback. It was worth every penny. My Subaru is not only reliable, functional, and cute; it also saved me from being injured in a bad crash. This past fall a six point buck hit my car head on and I never saw it coming. It was a fatal crash for the deer, but not for me. As heartbroken as I was to see my car crumpled on the front, I was so glad it wasn't me. It was a repairable fix and made me really appreciate my car.

Only gripe is no adjustable visors and side mirrors. I am short and the visors do not adjust in length. The side mirrors swing in and out but not up and down so there is interference for me. I have the seat adjusted to the max and use a cushion but still have a problem.
