Excellent buying experience. But more importantly, care after purchase is even better. We have full faith in the Serra Honda service department. We've been customers for nearly 15 years. Recently the department installed roof roof rails on our 2017 CRV. The work was professionally done in minimal time at reasonable expense. Our service rep, Chris Hughes, did an exceptional job keeping us apprised of status. He's personable, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra step. The type service rep you'd want working in your service department. We even use the Serra Honda service department for our second vehicle, a Mazda.

CRV has been a very good good vehicle. Engine has lots of power for its size category. Exterior and interior materials are very high quality, especially on the EX-L versions and higher. Car has required very little maintenance other than scheduled items. Rear visibility is better than many other SUVs. Cargo volume and rear seat legroom are more than ample. Gas mileage is pretty impressive as well. We liked the CRV so much, we bought a second one.

2016 Platinum. Nice SUV, comfortable, very powerful, decent fuel economy, fair build quality, but there are some things to be aware of; the AWD models have a PTU (power transfer unit) which sends power to the rear wheels. It is positioned very close to the exhaust, and the heat generated by the turbochargers literally cooks the gear oil in the PTU, causing it to fail. The unit only holds about a quart of oil, and is NOT serviced or checked, even when you have the vehicle serviced at the dealer. We had trouble with the front camera, and the recirculation actuator on the climate control. If you are considering a used Explorer, I highly recommend buying the best warranty you can! The only complaint I have is the road noise. On new pavement, it's quiet, but on all other roads it's VERY loud inside!

If you like big vehicles and have a family, it's the perfect car. Lot's of road trips watching movies in the back. The Denali package makes it stylish and comfortable.

The 2012 Gran Cherokee Overland has been my car for over 12 years. I’ve enjoyed every minute of driving it. Have made several road trips with it and never a complaint. Purchased the SUV in 2014 with 49k miles on it. Dealer replaced front and rear shocks, at 100k I replaced the shocks again. My biggest issue with these vehicles today and not just GM SUVs is the non-reliability of those costly parts. At the dealer you may pay $3,500 or more for shocks, at the Benz dealer a air rear shock will cost you $3,800 for one. Buying a SUV used with high mileage you will be looking at replacing these type of items.

I lived in rural Zambia for 4 years and owned a 1995 Defender 110 TDI. Mostly drove on game paths through the bush to remote villages (we were missionaries). Always got us to our destination and home again through the most difficult terrain. Rough ride is a relative term in rural Africa. Dependability is everything there.
