This is really a Nissan Frontier at a chaeper price and with better emmenities and exterior styling. Gas mileage is that of a truck. Has get pickup and rides well for having the off road package(AMZ). Most expert reviews did not do it justice. Don't base your decision on them, drive it for your self then decide. Great dollar value.

every since I bought the truck it has had problems with the rear door not latching. First the dealership replaced the door switch , no luck, then the bottom latch...no luck. Now there telling me it could be latch alighnment and the striker. It has become quite annoying and cannot use the interior light and had to pull the bulbs out of cargo lamp....everytime the door ajar light flickers so does the lights. I think the problem is being addressed too slow and am not sure if the local dealer is workin hard enough to fix this problem. not sure if anyone else has had this issue.

I am 67 years old and have purchased many new vehicles over the years. I have to say that I always have that, did I get a good deal or did I pay too much feeling. I can honestly say that I left this dealership feeling very good about the whole sales experience. My sales person was Gregg and he made the process a very pleasant one. Great highway ride. Plenty of power and cruised along acheiving 22mpg with a v-6 and a tonneau cover. Truck feels solid all the way around AND HAS HIGH SAFETY RATINGS. Paying less FOR INSURANCE than I did for my 2001 truck. Comfortable seats, good road clearance and visibility while driving. Would recommend if you can find one and have a dealer close by.

very nice truck, i have the rmz4 4x4 and could not be happier, i think the front grill is much better looking than any other truck out there, very very tough truck, excellant offroading, i have a 2" lift kit on mine with stock tires and i have climbed everything and have been thru everything, very impressed with the equator, stereo is nice and the room inside is great, fuel economy could be better, but not too bad, i just love it and i get compliments all the time, very fun and afffordable truck

Had an old 95 Dodge pickup before this so driving the 2009 Equator Extend is like stepping into the 21st century. I have the 4 cyl which I need for gas eco since I have a long commute and I don't tow but, I do need the bed which has factory sprayed liner. Perfect combo for me. Also have the 16" alloy rims which give the truck a wide stance. Interior same as Frontier seems durable and car-like. Truck is TALL. Nice, firm ride, feels very stable even at highway speeds. Equator styling gets compliments. Highly recommend.

Got 2009 Crew Cab new, now has 64665 miles. Had full size 4 x 4 in past. Needed better mileage but still have hauling capability. This truck fits me. 22-25mpg with reasonably smooth ride and motor is strong performer. I mostly stay on-road and don't miss the 4 x 4 feature. Only negative to me is that doors will self-lock for no reason so am careful to keep fob in pocket! I know it is simply a re-badged Nissan Frontier but dealer made great offer--then went out of business 3 months later. Have not needed a dealer so far anyway--guess will go to Nissan when do. Also like the navigation pop-up on top dash! Hope to drive many more trouble-free miles!

I love my new truck. It's not broke in so I'm only getting 17-20 MPG but I hope it will improve in 3,000 miles. I couldn't be happier with this vehicle, it's great and looks much better than the Frontier and it has 4 wheel disk brakes and a 5 speed auto transmission while the Nissan is only 2 wheel disks and 4 speed auto.

Picked up a 2012 Equator 4x4 crew cab sport long bed in Jan of '13. Needed a truck and it was a good deal. I knew I'd be OK with it, but it has been so far beyond OK. Beating the EPA estimates by a wide margin, even with a load and in the hills. Comfortable and the ride and drive is much better than I ever expected. Excellent build quality. I LOVE this truck. More capable than many bigger trucks. Mechanically, it's a Nissan, so no worries on parts. Too bad Suzuki couldn't market it better. The only thing I goofed on is that the dealer had two when I first contacted them. Should have bought both.
