Test drive of 2023 Long Range AWD. Very smooth, quiet and fast. I'm 6-3, drivers seat best supporting ,most comfortable seat of 40 cars owned. Biggest fear is Elon Musk, in a fit of childish mischief, decide to turn all Teslas off......

After living in a city and not owning a car for 10 years, this has been a pretty amazing car since my first ‘99 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I bought my 2018 Tesla S 75D used in April 2021 for $52k with about 35k miles on it. I saw similar models go for as high as 65k when used car prices went berzerk shortly after and now down to the 30s… But what I love about my car, that is a unique option for 2018, is having both the retractable sunroof and FSD capability. 2018, if my memory is correct, it is the last year a sunroof was available and the first year that the car had the hardware to handle FSD level software. And speaking of FSD, I do think calling it “Full Self Driving” is not really an appropriate description, it still gets a lot closer to autonomous than any other car brand out there currently (Jan 2024), and I don’t think it gets the credit it deserves. I can’t/shouldn’t lose focus of the road, but it does make longer drives a breeze. I don’t trust it completely and sometimes I intervene at times, but for the most part it takes a lot less mental energy out of driving and makes it that much more enjoyable. It’s as close to being a passenger while driving as I’ve gotten. As far as cons, I don’t have the long range battery and I live in the NYC area so when it is cold out especially, I might only get 3/4 of the estimated miles in actual miles. Fortunately it is garage kept at an apt building and probably doesn’t get below 50 degrees in there, and I lay $40/mo fixed to use the shared EV chargers in the building. There’s only few times I’m going on long enough drives to need to charge as long as I remember to charge it fully before going…. But looking back, I do think the longer range option would have been worthwhile. Some other highlights/things I like: - Premium sound option is great, has a small sub on the trunk and high quality mid/high end with a good EQ, so you tweak it to your liking and the quality will hold up all the way to level 11 (a Spinal Tap reference and one of many, many “easter eggs”). - This year was before the yolk steering wheel and pop out screen.. The screen in this year is gigantic, and the brightness adjustments and dark mode option make it less distracting than it sounds. - It’s FAST. I don’t have the ludacrous mode option but it’s still 0-60 in 4.2, and is oh so smooth and quiet on its way up. It also has a lot of “jerk” when you’re wanting to go from 40-60 or something like that too. (Fun math nerd fact- Jerk is the 2nd derivative of velocity and first derivative of acceleration. It’s how quickly acceleration accelerates.) - It’s a big car. The passenger space feels more like a 7 series BMW than a 5 series. And since it’s a hatchback style, it can haul a lot of stuff and some larger items more easily when you fold down the back row. Overall, I think it’s the best sedan on the market, and until another brand matches or surpasses Tesla’s “autopilot” capabilities, I’ll hold onto mine for as long as I can.

I have had nearly every luxury and sports car made and this is hands down my favorite car. It is so fast and smooth it is really mind-blowing. I love the anti-Trump/Elon losers on here giving it 1 star that have never owned one and almost certainly cannot afford one.

Audi Kirkwood is absolutely amazing!! I've purchased about 12 cars in my lifetime, and this is by far my best experience overall. The GM Neil has been incredible - he's one of those people you just know doesn't only care about the bottom line. Their finance manager was also the most helpful human being on the planet. She didn't try to oversell me with all the add ons, but helped me work through what would make sense for me (and I'm so happy I got the tire package because I've used it already in 4 months)! Amazing car. Was able to easily fit 300 square foot of laminate wood flooring inside with the seats folded flat. I'm going to glamp in this thing. I'm going to commute in Los Angeles, take my sister's dogs around - you name it. This thing is going to get a little dirty, hah. I'm happy it has a tow hitch as an option and roof rails available. The frunk and back trunk having storage (under the flat lift boot cover in the back) are just great for shopping and carrying around smaller items. I like that the 2023s still have the stalks because my wife and I tried the 24' Model 3 without, and we don't prefer that experience just yet. This is the best, most efficient, utilitarian, and sharp looking vehicle on the market. My only feedback is the paint could be better. I think they have the fit issues with the body panels down, and the sound dampening is a ton better in the 23's with the extra carpet that they add in the back and on the sides of the vehicle. I think to address the management of the company, Tesla is a big company. The recent Supercharger team layoffs were disappointing to hear in terms of how it was handled. However, I am excited by the prospect that the U.S.A. will have the North American Charging Standard, (NACS), as the single charging standard for Electric Vehicles going forward. NACS is much more elegant than J1772 and DCFC handles, as is the typical Supercharger location and experience. Do yourself a favor and buy into the vertically integrated EV experience with Tesla and don't worry about the public charging infrastructure that others have to deal with. That'll just be your backup option if the lines are too long at the Superchargers, or if you want a better charging rate in some rare contexts. What do I think about the CEO? I don't think about him really too much... the car speaks for itself.

The Tesla driver interface is unique, but becomes second nature and pretty good in just a few drives. Interior is very comfortable, quiet, and spacious, but a bit sparse for the price point. Performance is great but the inability of virtually all EVs to meet their EPA range estimates without going downhill with a tailwind is disappointing. Charging at home is great. The Tesla charging network works very well as does the Tesla app on your smartphone. We have seen none of the build quality issues others have previously noted. Tesla customer support for us has been good and responsive as we’ve worked through questions and bought accessories. Overall, with weight and aero being determinants of EV range, the Model Y is a very well designed vehicle. Aero drove the exterior design and weight the interior. The resulting looks are either something you like, or not, but for their purpose, they work. Right sized and shaped outside, very spacious inside. Recent price cuts made the value decision one we could live with. Compared it with every other EV of its size and very happy with our choice.

This is the best car I have ever owned. Over the years I have owned many luxury cars and by far my Tesla Model Y is better than all of them. I have had the car for 2 years now and I never had any issues with the car. Very reliable, fast, and love the auto pilot. The handling is amazing and very quiet. Love the minimalistic interior. I don’t understand why other car maker put 100s of buttons in the dashboard. Love the screen and it’s user friendly.

My wife and I bought 2 24 Grand Cherokee’s from Allyson Laws at Napleton and it was a great buying experience. We appreciate great service and great was what we go from Allyson. We were just really shopping when we contacted Allyson She worked hard to develop the sale and then close it. We were challenging customers, we were looking for unique configs, we were under a tight time line due to the desired Chrysler incentive ending and we were not local to the Dealership. Everything until signing and pick up were done by email, text of phone call. Allyson was awesome from start to finish with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and patience with us ( I almost changed my mind on what model I wanted at the last minute). She found the configs we wanted and worked hard to get them. One came from a dealer 400 miles away. She will work hard to get what you want. Again we are challenging ( Engineer and Data Scientist) we have a lot of questions and Allyson mastered each and every on everyone of them. She worked both deals simultaneously and it was flawless. Additionally the weather was absolutely terrible with snow and seriously below zero temps. I really don’t know how she pulled it off actually; I’m really impressed. Her walk through was superb and notable because it was 20 below zero that day. I would not hesitate to buy again from Allyson. I expect that in a couple of years we will go back to buy another Jeep GC and she will be running the Dealership. Allyson is top notch.

My second Tesla, first was a 2020 model Y. Loved the S since day one. No issues on anything except resale value. Tesla has lower the price $20,000 in last two years. But the car is almost perfect! The latest version of FSD is almost perfect as well, much better than version 11 which apparently is what a previous reviewer has. Does require a little getting use to steering yoke because blinker stalk is missing.

Service response is excellent. However, customer parking is awful, making it very difficult to get into the dealership.

purchased used with 2,200 miles. At first, I hated it, I've never had an all-electric car and the batter was dead. Luckily they sent someone to jump it. I was still thinking it was a mistake, until I actually drove it and got to know it and learn it. Drives totally different than my corvette. Now I like the Tesla better than my 650hp corvette. It hugs the road like nothing, takes off like a bat out of xxxx. I felt safe and comfortable hitting the pedal to the floor and feeling the rush of this thing taking off and just hanging on to that jet style steering wheel.

I got the raven performance model s and have not regretted it. I commute to LA from San Diego at least 3 times a week and the auto pilot has really made my life significantly easier. The fact that it drives itself on the freeways takes the edge off of traffic. Also the new suspension is incredible, also helps that I can make it there and back going 80 easily with plenty of battery remaining. The interior is simple and I truly enjoy the vegan leather. The performance of this car is unparalleled and the quickest car I had ever been in. It is hard for me to imagine driving any other car!
