I couldn’t afford car payments anymore and just wanted a car for local driving. So I purchased this car with cash. The 137,000 miles on the car made me nervous. I purchased the car at the end of 2022 and the car so far has been great. I’m trying to reserve mileage because the car already has high mileage but already put around 2000 miles on it and the car runs like a charm with no problems.

We sold our silver SLE in excellent conditions with just over 300K miles. I am certain it still has a long life ahead of it. It remains one of the most favorite cars we have owned. Over the years we took it on 5 cross country trips and it never missed a beat. Pros: *Absolutely reliable. *Huge trunk for a convertible, especially with the top down vs. other cars. * Looks have held up very well. * Decent highway mileage. * SLE has heated seats, cruise control, etc. Cons: None. Buying a used SLE today and then spending an extra ~$1000 to put in a very good audio/nav system with android auto/Carplay, review camera would make for a terrific car.

So just purchased my second 2000 solara and remanufactered it. My previous 2001 was very reliable but the salty roads in Maine took her out.This recent purchase came from Oregon. It is rust free and now will drive another 250000 miles. It is the best engineered car ever built.

I am an old guy. I am not right off the turnip truck. I have bought a lot of cars in my lifetime. When buying a car, I immediately tighten my chin strap and revert to Launch Missile readiness. None of that was necessary in my dealings with Salit Auto Sales. My rather rigid expectations were met, and then some. And I bought my new – and you’d think it was - very low mileage Mercury Grand Marquis at the right place, sight unseen, and then shipped it 3,000 miles. Bought the solera in 2008 and am very happy with the car / I have 140000 miles on the car and have had only minor maintance. This car will ultimately be a classic.

Bought used have never regretted it.l...low maintenance...no big problems..only the wheel sensor needs replacing and 02 sensor..not bad for 200 000 plus miles..just keep your oil changed and you'll get great service..runs like a dream..
