We switched from 4Runner to Highlander! Many years of Toyota loyalty in our family. Camrys to Tacoma’s we have had them all. I stole my wife’s 4Runner away from her and replaced it with a 2021 Highlander XSE. It’s been awesome. Bought it brand new. We just hit 65k. We drive from northern Idaho to Scottsdale Az all year and at anytime. Yes, anytime. AWD Snowmobile. It’s awesome in the snow! 22-28 MPG on the Hwy. For those worried about driving a wagon looking vessel around that does not have the great looks of the 4Runner? Don’t worry about it. The XSE has a great looking front end. The XSE Model handles great and boogies. Yes, it’s quick and drives like a sports car. Well, it handles well not quite a sports car. Don’t get the regular Highlander. XSE looks different, has the JBL stereo and drives great. AWD with a Snow Mode. Oh, and it had a third row for little ones. Reliability - been amazing. Zero issues.

I bought this car new in 2008. I have nothing bad to say except the paint start flaking after about 5 years. I should have taken to dealer over paint issue. My car only has 65,000 miles and paint is completely gone. I am in the process of a new paint job. Seems my issue was the clear coat in the paint. I have owned 6 other Toyotas, all bought new. This is only 1 with this issue!

2015 highlander limited. Its very smooth , the seat/mirror memory buttons are great , the auto high beams are awesome. Its easy to maintain, all the fluids and breaks etc are very easy to service right in the driveway. It has the 6 speed transmission that is known to be very reliable (unlike the 8spd trans that toyota came out with in 2017)

I traded in my 2016 RAV4 Limited for the Highlander XLE. Primarily for the ride. We had to give up some features such as seat positioning and closeness sensors available on the Rav4. The 2019 Highlander has a V6 that is well reported on and gives us the performance we need. Our ride has definitely improved on the Highlander.

We have owned our Highlander since about 42K miles, it now has 136k. The car has been wonderfully reliable and the batteries (now 16 years old) seem to still be working quite well. We get about 25mpg, maybe one or two less than when we first got it. While maybe not sexy, the first-gen Highlander Hybrid is a super well-engineered car. Our years in this tight, quiet, comfortable, spacious vehicle have been great. Biggest problem is we can't find a modern car we like enough to replace it!

Wonderful car for families, senior citizens, campers just ever one. Easy to get. in and out off, lots of leg room, ample cup holders, and storage compartments everywhere. Seats fold flat for cargo and large luggage rack. No blind spots.

I recently visited A W Auto and was very happy with my experience. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Michael and Jonathan. There were no surprise fees or hoops to jump through during the process. I was able to get a great deal on a car that I ended up purchasing. I have 212k miles and it still drives great and looks good. Only needed all the regular maintenance. Size is perfect. Love the back up camera and Bluetooth.

I regularly take my HL for oil changes and air filter changes. But I only topped the fluids when needed. This year 2020, I decide to get the fluids changed, from front to back and top to bottom. While this is going on the mechanic find that the brakes are worn very thin but everything else looks good. So I part with about 900 bucks and feel that my HL can go another 100k....Yeah that's 90 bucks a year...lol... I love that HL...

I've always loved the look and feel of a Toyota Highlander. But I never thought I could afford one. I found my Highlander at Alton Toyota, Alton, Il. and fell in love. I asked about the price and I couldn't believe it was right in my price range. I test drove it and it was love at first drive. Everyone from the Sales-person, finance and even the Technicians. were friendly, helpful and answered all my questions. They even went above and beyond making sure I got the best loan that fit me. I love my highlander and just got back from Myrtle Beach SC, driving round trip. It is so fun to drive and all the room is unbelievable. I purchased a vehicle from Faraj Auto Traders about 6 months ago for my daughter. Although I have always been skeptical about buying a used car, the process at Faraj was seamless. Many problems, but the car drives fine. Got it for cheap as a first car. Already had to put around 3- 4k into it. Fun car

I had mine for two years before I rolled it (3 times and walked away with one scratch and a bruise) and I had to replace the timing belt once (still had the original on it). Replaced the alternator on it because I was slowly killing it with my system in it (cost 400 bucks maybe a little more and was easy enough to replace myself) I got up to 42 mpg on average when I drove mine. Would definitely buy again, only had issues with the rear suspension and alignment.

It's been an awesome car so far. I've only owned it 6 months now, but in that time there has been nothing wrong with her at all. I had thought there was a leaking power steering boot when I first bought it (third owner), but upon taking apart the power steering system I found it was only the reservoir. Otherwise, very reliable car, with great passing power. Gas mileage could be better, but with the way I accelerate I get about 20mpg city with the 3.3l V6. Only 155k miles so she's still a baby. This car is pretty much peak Toyota. It's decent looking on the outside, but nothing to stare at. Inside it's comfy with the cloth seats but not a luxury car. It's quick enough, but could never be a sports car with the throttle response. It also has the unfortunate trend of Toyota's engines with more than 4 cylinders being unreasonably thirsty. It's bland in almost every way, but it will live forever.

Zero problems in 8 years ownership. Very comfortable. Still looks brand new. My next car will definitely be another Highlander, perhaps a 2025 Highlander Hybrid.
