Used Toyota Prius for sale near Dundee, OR under $15,000

It was my old cars time to go (Gloria) at work my coworker brought up CarMax as he just got a new pickup truck from them. My partner and I scheduled an appointment for a viewing Wednesday the 6th. I had to keep adding water to my car so she can take us there. I was nervous as this was my first time purchasing a car. IT WAS THE CAR IVE BEEN WANTING :) and Elijah Combs was our representative. He had great hospitality, customer service skills, had an amazing slime and over all made the experience of our first time comfortable and exciting!! ( I definitely had that anxiety lol) no tricks, no games. He helped us with getting set up with full coverage insurance and making sure we get our registration. I am very grateful to have had this thrilling experience and he was just as excited for us as we were. I definitely recommend him and the CarMax crew to any one whom is looking to get a new car. The one weak point is that there is a design defect. The exhaust manifold leading to cylinders tends to get clogged up. Must be cleaned every 60 k miles (200 dollar job) to avoid head gasket replacement. Otherwise should run forever. 250 k miles and doesn't use drop of oil. 2014 is known to be vintage year, with all kinks worked out of generation 3 - except for aforementioned. Besides being ultra reliable, the car is simply the best use of space and readily available fuel possible. Enormous cargo space with back seats down. Up, passengers have room almost equivalent to full-size sedan. Simply best car ever made. Just look out for traction battery expense. But even that can be mitigated using rebuilt batteries and independent shops.

Work done on time, reviwed before work performed, as promised, fair, great customer service. They have performed my family's work for more than 20 years.

My 2010 Prius with the solar panel package has been the best car I’ve ever owned. At 180k miles it drives like a dream and I’ve never had to replace anything besides the brakes. If I drive right I actually get 60-85 mpg. It’s a really wonderful car. I expect another 50 to 100k more miles out of it.

I brought our Telluride in for some long ignored minor warranty work. The dealership was new to me so this was our first experience here. The Service Writer Eric was a hoot and followed through with my warranty parts order and the subsequent replacement repair with clear text updates and a nice carwash.

This car is very economical. Great gas mileage and very easy to maintain. Be certain to change the oil and filter. Rotate tires and check the brakes every 10K miles. Realize what this car is all about - it is not a high performance car but for transportation inexpensive cost per mile it is SUPER.

I have a 2013 Prius. It has 129k on it. This is by far the most reliable & efficient vehicle. I had only had to change the oil & that is it. It regularly gets approximately 55/60 MPG. I absolutely love this vehicle & would not hesitate to get another Prius.

I love my prius!! I like the styling especially on the outside!! All in all I feel it is a Great Car!!! I have owned 3 of these cars. I like the Solara styling better but would want a hybrid Solara!!!

This car was purchased as a gift for my son to use to travel to his job out of town. He has a lease and I didn’t want him to rack up miles on his other car/lease. As a previous Prius owner, I know he would love another Prius to use daily. After this reliable vehicle is paid off, I plan to buy one for my other son and then a new one for myself! We love the hybrids in our family!

I bought a 2010 Prius as I needed hood gas mileage. I’ve had the car for 3 years, and it had a lot of miles when I got it. It’s not given me any problem till a week ago. It’s been dependable daily. Now I think I only have a few weeks to try to gather money to replace my car. Why? Because my son had a 2012 Prius and from the day he was told it’s problem, it was 1 month before the motor blew. The entire side of the motor blew out. It was a shocking sight. I mean, it was simply gone. I think it was amazing he was not going fast, what would have happened? What happens if I’m on the hwy when mine goes? This is sad. This is a great little car for around town. It’s trouble free. Even with age and high miles it’s a good car. Going a long distance? Forget about it. The seats are hard and not only do you feel every inch of the road, you hear it too. You are crippled by the time you make a 3 hour drive. If you have any fear of driving noise, don’t get on the hwy with this car. But, if you need a dependable car, cheap to upkeep, great on gas, in city driving, this is great. This is Jan of 2023. The batteries are still good. Issues with headlights, radio, sensor lights. I will be sorry to see this little car go. I really like it all in all. I feel sorry for it and for me. It would have been helpful if someone would have brought up problems with carbon build up and how to prevent it. No one shares knowledge, like it’s a major secret or a crime to do so. But, if the car dealer had said, listen, these cars have issues with this. Put this in your car monthly. Maybe I would not be loosing my car now? Not once has this car left me stranded.

I had my oil changed at the Beaverton, OR location on 09/20/19. As I arrived, Adam was waiting for me, walked up to my car and greeted me with a positive smile. Also, Adam was very attentive and answered my question of when my next oil change is due, scheduled my future oil change right away. I respect Adam's customer service.

Vehicle does everything very well. And it is not as slow as people say it is. It has great acceleration from a light blowing away most of their cars. If you’re in to that.

We bought our 14 Prius used with 10,000 miles. We did do the computer inverter upgrade, no charge at the dealership. We re Now at 106,000 miles and think we have at least another two years. We ve Shipped it to Hawaii and back,& driven coast to coast last year And our mpg is currently 41.5. As high as 50.0 on the trip. The only recurring problem is the passenger armrest has failed at the attachments.

The greatest car on the planet besides my BMW's humm maybe better. .I LOVE driving this car... First hybrid I owned. I would buy another. I bought the car with 167k and now have over 210k.My daughter drives it back and forth to school. GREAT gas mileage thus far NO PROBLEMS.

Love my Prius. At first I thought it was ugly, but having owned it for so long, I love it! Get 52 miles to the gallon, but then I don't speed. I drive between 27-29 mph. in town, avoid freeways if I can to keep the mileage high. IU have only replaced the tires and the battery a couple of times. The car starts beautifully, responds well when driven. Is in good shape outside, except for a small "ding"on the bottom of the driver's side where I hit a curb.

I absolutely recommend this car if you need a workhorse to drive you back and forth and not to die on you. A couple things about this car --- 200k miles with multiple total-loss level accidents because my jobs at the time had me on the road most days. Still running strong. I just took it on an interstate road trip and it doesn't miss a beat. This car is hard to kill. I don't know how this thing was built by Toyota but it is seriously impressive value for the money. Worth literally every penny for what I've squeezed out of it so far. Cons: the disrespect you get is insane. I've driven other cars and the hate that this car receives in particular is laughable. Also the performance is ridiculously bad, which everyone knows. One way to sum this up, I had a friend of mine once say, "It's hard to look another man in the eye while getting out of a Prius."

I’ve had a Prius 2nd gen for 6 years. I’m happy I finally moved to 3rd gen because it has eco mode and power mode. I’m glad it does because sometimes you’re on a highway and need to move and it’s actually smooth.

Small but reliable.. Yet the engine of course is small. but Still love it.. no worries about this as reliable as u can get ..

NICE EVERYDAY CAR WITH GREAT GAS MILEAGE. IT HAS PLENTY OF ROOM IN THE BACK SEAT AND THE TRUNK AREA WILL HOLD A SURPRISING AMOUNT OF WHATEVER YOU NEED TO CARRY.

I bought this car new in 2010 and have been the only owner since. The car is easy to drive, gets great gas mileage, and requires basic maintenance. I have changed the tires twice and the rear brakes once and otherwise it's been great!
