Used Toyota RAV4 Hybrid SUVs for sale near San Carlos, CA

I had no choice, my car of 20 years, which I bought brand new in 1999 was done. With so many websites ( I looked at several), I was not sure where to go. Then someone mentioned Car Max to me. I looked on line and saw a few cars I was interested in. The next weekend I drove to Colma to checked out and test drive a couple of cars. I decided to ask about Hybrids...you had 2. I test drove one of them and could not resist. I bought it. I was very impressed with the buying process. It was quick, easy and believe it or not relaxing since the sales person completed the paper work for me. Yes, I had to sign several sheets but that was a given. Something I was dreading for the past two years, was so surprisingly easy I couldn't believe it!!!

I traded in a Corolla hatchback for this RAV4. I love the size inside. I love the screen and it’s pretty comfortable though. I haven’t taken it on a very long trip. My gas mileage has decline since winter has come, but so far the all-wheel-drive is handling the snow

Updating my review on the service department. I was contacted by Makan Ardalani who was amazing. They looked at my Rav4, inspected all of the brakes, ensured it was safe and even offered free detailing. Makan really made me feel heard regarding my concern with the brakes sound, and after the team re-looked at the brakes, I am no longer hearing any noises. I am hoping Makan gave feedback to the service dept regarding listening to folks' concerns, and I will definitely give this service department another try.

I came home really happy after being able to get a beautiful Honda odyssey. All this would not be possible if Tim where not there.He did everything so we can get our van at a good price, he was there bringing us snacks and water since the whole process took a while. I don't have words to express how grateful we are with him. Just ask or look for Tim to show you the car you want to buy, and you will not be regret of doing it. This is my 3rd RAV4 Hybrid XLE It's a well made vehicle. Reliable. Comfortable. Efficient. Quiet It has all the comfort features I consider necessary.

PROS: * Overall 39 or 40 MPG combined city and highway. Really. * 500+ mile range on a full tank * Toyota's driver assist goodies work well (radar cruise, et. al) to reduce driver fatigue in both stop-and-go commuting and highway trips. * Sufficient power and acceleration to compete with big-city freeway traffic; uphill freeway on-ramps and so forth. * Nicely agile without being skittish. It goes where you tell it to with no drama. * I have done mild off-roading in Arizona. No problems, handles as hoped for. CONS: * Only one I can think of. Front seats are stiff. I find myself shifting my weight to get comfortable more often than I like.

We purchased a Toyota Highlander a few months ago from this dealership and after a few months in I wanted to share our experience with Willie Milton, Jeff Weist and Abdul Ferozy. In terms of picking the right vehicle we were pointed in the right direction by Jeff Weist. He also went over the figures with us prior to completing the transaction in the finance department. We knew we were paying a premium due to the shortage and I guess thats no ones fault. We agreed to the initial terms and was escorted to meet with Abdul Ferozy. Upon entering his office Mr. Ferozy seemed well organized and we promptly sat down and reviewed all the legal documents that were presented. Abdul then went over several of the packages that they offer, such as the extended warranty and maintenance plans and Toyota’s tire and wheel protection. We knew that these were products that we will use down the road so after the eloquent explanation we agreed. We completed the entire transaction fairly quickly about an hour although the salesman was still not done getting the vehicle prepped. I have used the service department once since then and Vern was great to work with. I would definitely recommend working with these gentleman. I will definitely be coming back for all the other servicing needs and trust that these guys have their ducks together.

Purchased used in July 2025. Great gas mileage. Smooth, quiet ride. I enjoy many of the features of this loaded model. But there are a few things that are slightly annoying. As the car slows down, it sounds like an emergency vehicle. I found myself looking around for a squad or an ambulance until I realized it was the engine whining. Second, the radio cuts in and out. Never had this problem on other vehicles. I live in a metropolitan area and have strong station signals. So this has me baffled. Fortunately I can sync my phone playlist and enjoy my favorite tunes. The weather is always lagging and sometimes reads cloudy when it’s pouring down rain. Lastly, I have not figured out how to cancel a destination on the map navigator. It also cannot find my address and has me going to a completely different town if I need to get home from an unfamiliar area. Maybe it needs an upgrade but was hoping that was automatic and cloud based.

Extremely stable and smooth ride. Good sound system. Ready availability of dealers, service, parts, etc.. Quite comfortable seating. Very extensive owner's manual. Very effective safety features.

Cody was amazing! I began researching for a used car in early June and finally found my dream car but within my budget. Affordable and great value for my trade. I would definitely recommend this dealership and/or consider trading in again in the future. I went in nervous and anxious and as soon as I sat down I was immediately relieved calm and this was honestly the smoothest car buying experience ever.

Great car with good quality. Like all cars today, the price has escalated to make it almost unaffordable. And in Jan 2023 when there was an inventory shortage we were forced to pay an extra $7k for extra dealer installed options that we didn't really need. Its really just a high profit margin package to increase their profit. But we needed a car then and still had to wait for 4 1/2 months to get one.

Friendly and helpful folks. Price was as advertised without haggling (and in my case, will priced), car I came in for was available for test drive at my appointment time, and paperwork for purchase was efficiently handled. Good experience at the sales level! As with all used cars I was a little concerned about the sales process, but in this case things were low pressure and seemingly free of sales gimmicks. Appreciated they didn't try to sell me 5 extras and tack on dealer fees. It all just kinda went to plan.

Always looking for any excuse to get behind the wheel...so much fun to drive! Love the gas mileage too...averaging 40 miles per gallon. Live it!

If you are looking for an excellent, reliable crossover, the RAV4 is it. Also like the hybrid, as it is a major move toward eco-friendliness, getting great gas mileage

Tran was the technician working on my car was he was excellent at communicating with me on the status of the parts for my car and staying in touch with me throughout the process. I just got my car back, so I really can?t say how the car is running. But I?m sure it will be fine.

Excellent AWD Hybrid. So far getting at least 46 MPG. Seats could use a little more support. Outside of that, vehicle is all you could ask.

I am a new customer to Steven's Creek Toyota and I am here to give great kudos to Josh Pourkhorsand and Lance Nguyen for their patience and diligence to their jobs. Even though I had never personally met Josh, I texted with him about my interest in buying a new Toyota Prius and he was ON TOP of it, to say the least. As soon as there was a matching car being delivered, Josh texted me, held it for me, negotiated with me and made the whole experience EASY. His manner is easy going and not 'high-pressure-sale-vulture.' I liked him immediately. Patient and great sense of humor put me at ease. Josh explained all the ins and outs of the car. Got it washed and detailed before I bought it. If I need anything, Josh made me feel that I could call him at anytime. Lance gave me the same feeling! He works in the Finance department and he was patient and had a great sense of humor also. He carefully explained all the pre-payment of service work and, even though I was initially resistant to the up-sell, it was obvious me that the pre-paid maintenance package just made good common sense. Great team. Also the guys behind the big counter, Jack Joseph, Mark, "The Bus Driver" (I can't remember his name), all of them had a great sense of humor and contributed to the easy going feeling of this dealership. They all seemed to love their jobs and were HAPPY to be there. And... of course, the Prius I bought from SCT is just what I wanted. I will be returning to SCT for the next 6 years for maintenance so this good-natured, positive atmosphere was so refreshing. I had been to a dealership prior to this (nearest to me - I'll leave it to you to map it) and my treatment was FAR less helpful. I was not made to feel important. Even though I had regularly communicated my desires to a sales agent there, I was always put in the position of having to initiate the inquiries regarding their deliveries. My desires were not kept track of and I was not treated specially. I did not get the 'treated-as-family' feeling that I got from Steven's Creek Toyota. I made the right choice the SCT team. Gas mileage sums it up. Between 40-45 mpg. It’s a very solid vehicle. No problems at all. Very happy with this purchase. Plenty of pick up. Better then the all gas Rav

The RAV4 Hybrid is an amazing vehicle. Currently 5,000 miles 42.6 miles to the gallon. Great ride, great A/C looks awesome, Michelin tires, nice accessories and JBL sound system

I love everything about this car! I had an all electric Leaf for 10 years and was very happy with it, However, there was too much limitation on how far I could go. Now I am free to go any distance and feel good about still lowering the use of fossil fuels. Lots of storage room, Sun/Moon Roof!! Good all around vision. Runs like a dream.

I bought a 23 RAV4 SE hybrid. It gets no lie 45 mpg in town. Live in Grand Junction Co. Got it at Western slope Toyota, a great place to buy your Toyota. Anyway, It,s a great Suv for the money. I would never go back to a just gasoline engine car.

My brother and I decided to go browse around to different car dealers for a new car. We decided to drop by to Toyota of Oakland to look around. Jeff Wisely was so helpful with our purchase from start to end. Then Abdul assisted us with the paper work to ensure that we received all of the information we needed to make sure we were satisfied with our purchase. He was so nice he answered all of our questions to the best of his ability. Jeff was also so helpful even after we left the dealer and needed his help he always made sure I was being help. He always returned my call when I contacted him and needed help even if he couldn't help he made sure he found the right person to assist me. I would definitely recommend someone to this dealership and return again if I need to make another purchase.

This is a great car. The hybrid drivetrain has already saved me over 30% on gas in a few months of ownership. With the xle model I purchased I have noticed the sound dampening is not as good as my older model 2013 rav4 non hybrid but with no engine noise either makes the outside noise more noticeable. The seating space up front is a little more tighter but not bad. My one gripe is the gas pedal is hinged to the floor so the floor mats do not go all the way to the top and leave the carpet exposed. I would still 100% recommend the car. Just watch out for some dealerships who are just out to make your purchase difficult.
