I had mine for two years before I rolled it (3 times and walked away with one scratch and a bruise) and I had to replace the timing belt once (still had the original on it). Replaced the alternator on it because I was slowly killing it with my system in it (cost 400 bucks maybe a little more and was easy enough to replace myself) I got up to 42 mpg on average when I drove mine. Would definitely buy again, only had issues with the rear suspension and alignment.

An amazing car to own. Hassle-free and quite fun to drive. No bells and whistles that break like more contemporary styles. Beautiful green color on the outside and warm beige on the inside. Love the simplicity and reliability of this car year after year. The 2005 Corolla is an all around winner!

Great service...seamless! Salesperson (Linda Pesantez) was very professional, attentive and forthcoming/transparent while tending to our needs. It helped too that my fiancé and I knew exactly what we wanted as far as choice of vehicle. We should note here that there seems to be a "homey" feel to the ambiance. We didn't feel pressured in the least and the entire purchase process lasted approximately 2 hours or a tad over. I've owned dozens and dozens of car and this one has impressed me the most. Tons of power from the V6, typical Toyota reliability, very ergonomic, and very capable. I've hauled weight in this thing that would rival any truck and pulled a trailer that was double it's load rating. I purchased my reliable Highlander on September 13, 2001, (I never forget, YES 2 days after the NY attack). This car went everywhere. In 2009 and 2011 I drove my two kids out of the hospital in it when they were born. I sold it (in less than one hour) on May 2019 with 289,000 miles. Never had any major issues, probably the worse was a CV joint. With regular maintenance it can go many more miles.

My grandma drove this car off the lot, brand new. Has been a great car. After a few years it was passed on to my mom, then my dad, and now me. I’ve driven this car for 3 years now but unfortunately there is too much maintenance to be done for the money. Around 160k miles for us it has had minimal issues so I’d say it’s a great car. It started when we got back from a trip and one of the cylinders were misfiring (which was a spark plug and an easy fix). Around 170k miles we were driving it and it ended up overheating. We got it towed and it ended up being the water pump going out (as well as the serpentine belt needing to be replaced). After that we drove it for a few weeks but it started running rough, then we went to go home from work one night and it was idling super rough so we drove it home and decided not to use it until we could get it towed to a mechanic. It was blowing out lots of white smoke. Turns out the head gasket has blown (which we think was from the overheating done originally). Car has officially made it to 173k miles. We were hoping more but it’s not horrible considering. Something to look out for is this also burns a lot of oil. Be sure to check it often, every two weeks depending on how much you drive. Wish the engine had a recall or something for that issue. Overall great car but from my reading, don’t get a 2007-2013 if used since these are the years for oil consumption issues.

The one weak point is that there is a design defect. The exhaust manifold leading to cylinders tends to get clogged up. Must be cleaned every 60 k miles (200 dollar job) to avoid head gasket replacement. Otherwise should run forever. 250 k miles and doesn't use drop of oil. 2014 is known to be vintage year, with all kinks worked out of generation 3 - except for aforementioned. Besides being ultra reliable, the car is simply the best use of space and readily available fuel possible. Enormous cargo space with back seats down. Up, passengers have room almost equivalent to full-size sedan. Simply best car ever made. Just look out for traction battery expense. But even that can be mitigated using rebuilt batteries and independent shops.

Purchased the 08 tundra 8 years ago with 141k miles. Sitting at 243k now and it still drives the same as when I bought it. Other than maintenance & the things I wanted to add the Only thing I’ve replaced is the ac pump. For a half ton pickup I wouldn’t go with any other make. Would take it anywhere…tows and drives great while it still looks good going down the road!

I bought my 2001 Tundra 4WD in 2006, and nearly 20 years later I still have it. I'm 75 and I've owned a lot of cars & trucks in my life, and I swear my Tundra is the most reliable, most pleasurable-to-drive one I've ever had. Not quite 200k miles (yes, that's low by Tundra standards), but the engine is as peppy and smooth as when it was new. Never had a bit of mechanical trouble with it, which is something I could not say about any of the two dozen or so vehicles I have had going back 60 years. Only complaints: I think Toyota's paint jobs are subpar; backdoor window latches are cheap and they broke long ago.

Great car drive and also great to haul just about anything Small to mid sized since the back seats fold all the way down. And it gets good Gas MPG as well.
