Steve from AZ with 2022 review...dude, you must have gotten one made on Monday or Friday as the saying goes. I'm on my 3rd 4Runner since 1995, and I am looking for another one now. Our oldest son totaled the 95 in 2003 in his senior year of high school, head on collision, and walked away without a scratch. We replaced it with a 2001. I rolled that one 2x in my 1st accident in Oct 2011. I got hit by wildlife and knocked off the other side of the road. I was doing good keeping it steady, but it wasn't slowing down, and I knew not to hit the brakes on the wet grass--I forgot my cruise control was on. So I rolled it 2x and hung upside down in the middle of a swamp until the police found me, but not a scratch on me. We replaced that one with a 1999, and I'm still driving it. It looks like xxxx cosmetically and the leather seats have been destroyed by the 7 rescue dogs that have been part of our family since 2012, but it has only stopped running once. I've had what I would call 2 major repairs on 3 4Runners. The brake booster and master cylinder last year on this 99, and some type of sensor down below the belt that caused a major oil leak and then it wouldn't start this past spring. The part was only $25, but I paid my mechanic neighbor $200 to do the repair instead of $800 for labor elsewhere. And it was already 23 years old and had 225,000 & 230,000 miles on it before those 2 things happened. And just FYI from an old lady, NEVER take a vehicle to a dealership to be repaired! I'm probably a bit older than you so I learned that lesson decades ago. Find a good independent mechanic and treat them like you do your Mama because they are an important person in this life. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with yours, but I have loved every single one of mine, and the thought of driving something else literally hurts my feelings. Own a 2004 with over 330,000 miles. It just keeps running. As a landlord, I use it somewhat like a truck, it holds tools in the rear. Can transport 4x8 sheets of drywall and plywood with some shuffling. Hauled 1200 lbs of concrete bags behind the front row seats many times. I use the 3rd row for passengers. Have removed the second row and never replaced them. Change the oil every 5Kmi because that interval is easy to remember. And the typical timing belt and water pump (while exposed) every 100K. Just let the dealer do the brakes, they last years and don't wobble. Of course the automatic doors gave out at 200K, but you kind of expect that. They still work manually. A few strange items like a steering rack at 150K and vent window hinge gave out around then. And the drivers seat heater gave up. The problem is that this van is so good, I really hate to replace it. It's a good problem to have. I'm not hauling concrete in a brand new $50,000 Sienna.

I purchased my 2016 Camry SE used in 2018 @ 39K miles as a certified pre owned. Pros: - Regular oil changes and recommended maintenance is all that i did. - Quiet engine - Smooth ride and no body roll while cornering - Quick acceleration for a daily driving and highway passing - Comfortable driver seats with lumbar support. - Huge leg room for rear passengers. - Stable in snow. This FWD with good all season tire is all you need to survive winter. Cons: - Stock headlight is not bright . Got oxidised and foggy within 60K miles - road noise and rarely wind noise when on the highway(no sunroof) -Suspension is stiff for the SE trim but got used to it. - Infotainment screen is super outdated. No apple carplay -Factory Blue tooth sync for videos were bad. -Stock speakers are better than Corolla. Problems: At 120K the touchscreen on the infotainment started glitching and stopped responding. Replaced the whole unit with a Sony Car stereo. If buying this car in 2025, get an aftermarket Apple car play/android auto. I will be running it to at least 250K miles. Wish me luck!!

I have a 2013 Prius. It has 129k on it. This is by far the most reliable & efficient vehicle. I had only had to change the oil & that is it. It regularly gets approximately 55/60 MPG. I absolutely love this vehicle & would not hesitate to get another Prius.

My husband an I bought a 2019 camry in 2020 with 35k. It's now 2025 and besides replacing the o2 sensors, this car is extremely good on gas, very comfortable, sporty, very reliable, and timeless. We have the le model with 148k on it. We've done all regular maintenance. We haven't had time to have the transmission fluid serviced, due to health issues. 100k of the miles are all highway miles. I'm a mechanic that rebuilds vehicles to flip. By far this is the best vehicle for the money and we will keep our camry and keep her going until it's time to replace the engine.. I don't see that happening for years to come. These little 4 bangers are bullet proof. Oh, I absolutely love the trans shifts, a cross between regular clutches and cvt. Would highly recommend

Bought used in 2018. Car has been incredibly reliable. Besides one brake job, one set of tires, and one battery I have not done anything except oil changes. Not even a taillight.

One of the best vehicles I have ever owned; I do t drive much annually so the wear and tear is limited and low; if I do buy another vehicle in my life time it will be a Toyota.

Great reliable cars. Bought mine at over 150k miles and it still runs like a champ. Car had been maintained regularly by the previous owner which is what is necessary to prolong its life and I intend to continue doing the same.

I recently gave my daughter my much loved, fully loaded 2007 Camry Hybrid.I miss it very much. The early ones were made in Japan and really hold up well providing you take care of them. During the 165,000 miles I owned the car it never broke down and never required a repair aside from normal things like brakes, tires, new TPS sensors and normal maintenance. That's quite remarkable. If you take the time to learn how to coax the car into electric mode with the gas pedal these cars easily exceed 40 mpg except during the coldest few months. If you can find a well cared for example of this car jump on it, you won't regret it.
