Used Toyota trucks for sale near Summerville, SC

My situation must have been the most difficult situation ever at a Carmax, even though it was tough and the Managers and Myself got frustrated at times Ed, Dave, Eric, and Chris (Carmax Charleston Managers) never gave up on me and worked hard to make this thing happen. I came to them looking for my dream car, the Mitsubishi Lancer RalliArt or Evolution on a limited budget. They found the vehicle and brought it in, I bought the vehicle and there were a few problems with it, the guys took the car back no questions asked and found another one, even though there were some other issues that occured the Management staff at Carmax stuck by me and helped me make it happen. Anyone new to the car buying process should go see the team at Carmax, Charleston, as they will guide you through the process and explain it to you the whole way through! The only problem in this truck is no power seat and heater control only does one side . Real view mirror is to small . Other than that great truck !!

I purchased my new 2014 Pure White Camry from Fred Anderson Toyota in Dec. 2013. I could not have been happier at that time with the service provided from the sales experience to my experience with the service department. That all changed when my vehicle was part of the defective paint issue they acknowledged in 2020. Trying to get it remedied became an extremely frustrating process over an almost 3 yr. period. I was ready to give up and sell the car at a loss but decided to try one more time. I called Fred Andersons Service dept. to discuss with the service manager, Bill DePriest. That was my lucky day! I was prepared for another exhausting process but Bill without question or hesitation immediately got the ball rolling to get my car repaired. He immediately got Jackson Trhlin involved in the scheduling and within 6 weeks my car was repaired and looks new...Every follow-up exchange I had with him was responsive, pleasant and respectful. Thanks to Bill I was finally heard and acknowledged. I felt the care and concern he had for my earlier exhausting experience. He made it his mission to get me taken care of as soon as possible...The level of service and responsiveness I received from him was amazing. Shoutout to Jackson too for getting me on the schedule quickly as well... My interaction with Bill and the expedient repair of my paint issue that he facilitated renewed my faith in Toyota and in particular Fred Anderson of Charleston. He represented himself and Fred Anderson Toyota well by taking their commitment to their customers to a new high. I cannot recommend them more and it's all because of Bill !!! Purchased this truck for it's reliablity.Opted for a SR5 trim because it's not lifted nor branded with stickers. Have 44-k miles now. No issues. Just scheduled factory maintenance. I plan to run this truck well over 300-k miles. Is it perfect? No. The engine is somewhat lack luster, the gas milesage is just okay and the interior is somewhat small compared to a full size truck. however,However, I trust this truck to serve me well into the future without any major issues.

Jose in service was super nice and very efficient. Definitely needs a raise or I would recommend promoting him in sales department. People person type of guy.

I bought a 2019 Tacoma with 89k. So far performance is fantastic and can definitely experience the quality build. This has made me skeptical of the reviews about poor engine build and transmission problems like hunting for gears. Can't pretty much dispel the proven track record of the 2019 as one of Toyota best build of the year. As for the transmission, it is still the best performing and reliable 6 speed transmission as compared to the other brands with high failure rates. One of the reason I stick with Toyota because I once had another brand manufacturer bought new and as soon as it hit over 100k, transmission problems or some solenoid problem. As for the engine, the dealer even included a lifetime engine warranty. That just tells me, they never expect the engine to fail. the review with the engine knocking sounds like an another brand car. it just doesn't happen to a toyota.

In the hills of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia or anywhere there’s a big hill/mountain do not expect engine performance. It’s get up and go is gone!

After 15 years with my previous Tacoma TRD Offroad, I bought the same vehicle to replace it. I really wasn't ready to replace it but the 24's don't excite me with the 4 cylinder turbo and I figured the longer I wait, the harder it would be to find a discontinued 6 cylinder in new condition. I got lucky and found a 3 month old 23 with 1,400 miles on it. I think Toyota screwed up with the 24 models, they cheapened them in many ways, crap engine, thinner frame, less underbody protection. Basically, they made them for people who don't want or need a truck but like the image.

Great truck! Superior power sleek design. Gas mileage is no where near as advertised 17 mpg they say 23 complete lie. Love the laptop interior design is great.

I called the dealership Friday night an hour before closing. Tommy Bennett answered the phone. I told him what I was looking for and and he said let me check and I will call you back. He called me back 15 minutes later and said they had one coming in from Columbia, did I want to put my name on it? I said yes and to please send me all the information on the truck. Tommy emailed all the information with pictures, window sticker and the price they were selling it for. I had a maximum price of $ 60K that I wanted to spend. The sticker price was $ 66,870.00 and with discounts it was $ 58,370.00 Plus tags and taxes. He called me Monday afternoon and said the truck was in. I was there the next day. I took my daughter drove me so I could pick it up. We drove it and liked it and sat down with Tommy and he showed us the out the door price of $ 60,120.00 I bought it. It was a great experience for me and I highly recommend this dealership to anyone that is looking to purchase a new vehicle. My daughter is going back this week to see if she can find a used car too. Tommy Bennett did a Great Job and I highly recommend him too! He did everything he said he would and I am a Very Pleased New Truck owner.

Remote connect is cool. But it does not reporting your windows are open. Secondly if the car has started remotely and you open the doors. Car shuts off. They say it’s a safety feature. It’s not because I’m 2024 models that problem is not present

For the size of motor it's surprisingly powerful. The transmission is smart and performs when needed, use the manual shift when needed. The ride is smooth, the suspension superior on the freeway handling anything I ask of it nicely. Off road it has traction features galore, nothing left for complaints. Best truck I ever owned.

The truck is designed with the best quality and engineering I've ever experienced with any other truck brand. Beautiful design inside and out. It drives like a charm. The wheels steer like a sedan. I won't buy any other car other than a Tundra in the future.

My First Vehicle was a 1985 Toyota, And i Loved It. so When I Got The Opportunty To Get A New Truck I Got the Tacoma. I Love It.

The new 4th Gen taco. It took some time to grow on me. But the style is much better then other mid size trucks on the market. It's great truck for what you need to do with it. With the massive 14 inch screen all new digital dashboard. New interior seats. Nice wide body shape. And it handles extremely well on the roads. Sure I wish Toyota would have made the rear leg room little wider. And added a step to the bed area. But overall it's a great a truck. The performance of the stock 2.4 turbo charge engine will move the truck.
