I love my Tundra which I have owned for 12 years and over 100,000 miles (now at 155,000 +). I just spent $2650 to get the frame repaired from corrosion. The area just forward of the leaf spring mounting has a plate mounted on the inside with rivets holding it to the main portion of the frame. This creates a space where water can remain and cause corrosion. My truck is babied and garage kept and still suffered this issue. I am an engineer and consider this issue a design problem. Toyoto should be ashamed of themselves. When I contacted them they refused to help because 10 years ago they recalled the truck, inspected it and recoated the problem areas. They should have advised owners to check, clean up and recoat this area yearly.

I only have two issues with this vehicle! Poor gas mileage! Terrible turn radius! I tow a boat and my friends who have full size trucks ( F150, Chevy 1500, and Dodges ) get better gas mileage Than I do towing their boats then I do without towing! Some of them have backed me in to the launch and then park the vehicle! They come back and say the turn radius is bad !

WE replaced our 2005 Nissan Frontier King cab with a used 2014 Nissan Frontier King cab with 70,000 miles 3 months ago. We would NOT recommend a king cab but the overall value was to good to pass up. The 2014 has dual climate control which our 2005 didn't. We expect everything else to be similar and having now used it for 5,000 miles, that appears to be true. We purchased a used 2005 Nissan Frontier King cab with 95,000 miles and drove it until it had 280,000 miles. Nissan extended (on paper) the transmission warranty to 100,000 miles (due to a radiator leak defect) but didn't cover our failure even though we reported intermitant problems at 97,000 - it failed at 100,100. Nissan refused to warrant it! The computer inside the transmission had failed causing it to shift incorrectly, damaging a gear. It cost about $3,700 to have it repaired by local shop - Nissan wanted about $7,000! There was only 1 part in the entire country and we had to wait over a week to get it. No other real issues other than individual coil packs failing at 180,000 (cylinder 1), 240,000 (cylinder 3) and 275,000 (cylinder 5). The repairs for cylinders 1 & 3 cost about $60 for the part and about 20 minutes of labor - but cylinder 5 requires removing the intake to get to it and that cost about $350. Fun to drive but mileage sucks! It handles great because it is very stiff (rides like a truck) and the v6 has some 'guts". ALWAYS starts, even at -30 (using synthetic oil changed spring and fall). Nissan needs to fix issues with poor headlights (compared to other manufacturers), gas gage reading wrong just after warranty, climate controls not effective, and evaporator (emissions system) failing happened in 3 out of 5 Nissans we owned and 2 had tecalls) since these same problems have occurred in several of our Nissan vehicals - not just the 2005 Frontier. Nissans will typically rust before other brands. We have also owned 2 Nissan Maximas and a Nissan Altima. Overall, Nissan vehicals are a good value for the money.

I commute 700 miles a week in this truck. It gets good gas mileage and is reliable and comfortable. At 263,000 miles it is still going strong and my mechanic thinks I may get another 100,000 to 150,000 miles. It’s a great smaller-sized truck.

05/01/2024 - will update if anything changes, but I couldn't be more pleasantly surprised by how NOT like a used car lot this used car dealer is. No pressure. No xx. Friendly. Seems honest and forthright. Personable people. They state that they won't put a car on the lot if it doesn't pass their mechanic's inspection. It's more important to them to make a reloable sale than to simply move volume. I hope that's true, because I bought my new-used car from them today to replace my old-new one that Lehigh drivers smashed up. I needed a boat hauler, and now I have one! I'm not happy to be on Lee County roads again, but I'm happy not to HAVE to take the bus, happy to be ON the water in my boat, and happy to have dealt with a dealer apparently interested in everyone leaving the transaction satisfied. They sent me a quote early in the process and before even being on the lot, which helped. "Gave me the Carfax [equivalent]", also. Took long test drive. Paperwork took a while, but it wasn't unpleasant. Did not trade in and did not finance, but review would not submit without me selecting something. Would do business with them again, and will update in a month or two if anything changes. Thanks Vince, Josh, and Linda!

I bought my 4x4 Nissan XE King cab 4 cylinder 2.4 l in 1999 brand new from the dealer. It was tight as you could get. I have 262,000 miles on it of which I've driven every single one. The timing chain finally gave out at 200,000 miles and I replaced the water pump head gasket a couple of valves CV boot transmission transfer case alternator shocks tires u-joints including the carrier bearing and put new springs on the back and a new bumper on the back. It's had a shell on it it's whole life and I covered the seats since I've had it. So the seats and the bed are in great condition practically perfect. It runs like a top and it seems like it's brand new. This is an excellent truck and I just can't get rid of it. I could never replace it with something as good as it is for the money that people would want to pay me for it. I highly recommend these trucks. It's a rarity to have a four-wheel drive extra cab four cylinder truck because typically they have a six cylinder motor. The motor is strong as heck. Even after the top end rebuild. I bought this truck new 8 years ago (and 77k miles). I use this truck for truck things like towing a 5,200lb trailer @8 times a year. The V6 has plenty of power and gets good mileage (22 mpg combined, 29 highway empty, 15 pulling the trailer). Reliability has been outstanding. The transmission needs a full flush about every 40k to keep it shifting smoothly. Other than that this truck has been without issue.

Had it 2 weeks now. Driving it is effortless. Handles well. We always get a 2 or 3 year old vehicle and let someone else take the hit. This is 5 years ago but in great shape AND 2 or 3 year olds were close to a trillion dollars so Musk can get those, not me. Put a cover on the back already and will install running boards today (my wife's NOT tall). This is for a short commute to work but mostly to tow our camping trailer as we're creeping up on full retirement. Tucson gets HOT for about 4 or 5 months and I've already paid my dues. Ha. Interior design is fine, I don't need fancy. Great sound system. Lifted enough for rough roads out in the sticks. 1st 4 door I've owned. Luvit. Had an 01 King Cab that was bullet proof. Sold it eventually because I'm not that bright. Recommend it to anyone.

I bought my 2012 F150 FX4 Ecoboost brand new in February 2012. I currently have 64k miles on it. I have never had a mechanical issue with it. Regular preventative maintenance has kept it very reliable. It has a comfortable and quiet ride for a truck. I have towed 3 different campers with it ranging from 5k-8k pounds. The Ecoboost easily handles the towing with plenty of HP and torque. Just don't expect great gas mileage while towing, 7-9mph. Without towing on the highway, I can average 19mph. For a half ton truck, I tow my 35ft camper with no concerns. It's a comfortable commuter truck too. I love my truck!

I can't believe I'm writing a glowing review of a car dealership. But here goes......Hands down the best place to purchase a Jeep. Just bought a rare 2021 Jeep 392 Rubicon. Very hard to come by. I did just what the TV ad said and went right to Jay. Without hesitation he ordered me one. Other dealers were charging 10 to 20 thousand over sticker...Not Jay. Like his ad says "Come see me Jay...Don't overpay". I did (see Jay) and I didn't overpay. I picked this beast of a Jeep up yesterday and could not be happier. From the moment I walked in yesterday I was treated like I was the only customer in the store...Yet the store was really busy. Aside from Jay I dealt with Ray Powers the service manager. He could not have been nicer. Rare for a service manager to be so nice and knowledgeable. Nothing that I needed. done to the new Jeep was an issue and was done right away. As far as the delivery went Big Mike got me on the road knowing everything I needed to know about my new Jeep. He signed me up on the spot for free Sirius, U Connect and Jeep Wave. All in all I have bought at least 20 cars in my lifetime. This was by far the best experience ever. Oh...I forgot to mention this place is state of the art. One last thing that my wife noticed....2 people were running around cleaning off the seats and and tables throughout the dealership. They are taking Covid seriously. Thank you Jay, Ray, Big Mike. Bought 99 xlt 4x4 in 2015. I live in Iowa. I do a lot of hunting and wood hauling. So I use the 4x4 a lot. I pull a 5x8x3 trailer when wood cutting and load the truck and trailer down heavy. She grunts a little but enough power there to get it done. Only been stuck in the snow once due to clearance and have tested it's yanking power pulling bigger vehicles out that were in there pretty good. It's supposed me. I've replaced minimal parts. Gas tank was the biggest chore. Standard rust out. Biggest engine problem to diagnose was the fuel filter. Engine knocks like a diesel engine but has plenty of power and keeps on ticking. Change oil every 5k or close to it. Plenty of cab room and leg room. Maintenance has been minimal I guess. Would buy another if the deal was right. Current mileage 186kish. It's due for some bigger maintenance now. Front end parts kit brakes rotors all around and rear seals. Not bad for a truck that's seen a lot more gravel roads than hiways. Rust is average. Rocker panels and starting on the front of box. It's been a good truck.
