I've owned this GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain since it was 8 months old. With the exception of two warranty issues (failing power brake vacuum pump and transmission electrical harness), I have been totally happy with this truck. Up until now, my 1996 Chevrolet K1500 Silverado with it's 5.7L Vortec engine was my favorite truck of all time, this GMC (5.3L LS engine, 8 speed automatice) has earned the top spot now of my all time favorite truck. It is comfortable to drive, and runs as good as the day I bought it over 5+ years ago. I've got 71.5K miles on it. My biggest issue is I wished it had the 6.2L engine for better towing capabilities. Other than that ... love this truck.

Had my vehicle serviced with oil change and tire rotation. Everything was explained well and I was told of future services needed.

I bought my 2017 Ecodiesel in April of 2018 at a significant discount from MSRP due to "Dieselgate" with VW and then modified software on these. They were held up for months so that the software could be corrected, so by the time they were available for purchase there was a massive overstock on them. With the complete re-design for the 2019 models, dealers were looking to get these moved out and offered big incentives to do so (up to $20,000 off). There have also been some recalls for a few things, but nothing that has seemed to go wrong on my vehicle, but I took it in to get everything addressed for the recalls. That being said, I haven't had any issues with the truck not working at any time and it is one of the most comfortable riding vehicles I've owned, especially on longer trips. The little diesel engine gets excellent milage on the freeway (about 28 mpg) and about 20 around town. Seats have coolers and heaters, the steering wheel also has a heater, auto start, good lumbar support, a nice sound system, "Millenium Falcon" style ice boxes under the rear passenger floor spots, and a lot of other features that even new trucks don't have. Plus I am not having to "rent" services that came in my truck like a lot of new vehicles force people into. It hauls what I need it to haul, tows what I need it to tow, and drives where I need it to go. Does what a truck should and with comfort to boot.

I did everything with this vehicle using it for an hvac business and personal use as well. The frame is full sturdy and I overloaded it alot removing old mechanical systems. Filled it with old commercial radiators which fit in well as high as the cab drove it back at 80 mph not one problem the way I like it. The Suspension still was not bottomed out and was robust. This truck came from ohio i got it at 95K

I commute 700 miles a week in this truck. It gets good gas mileage and is reliable and comfortable. At 263,000 miles it is still going strong and my mechanic thinks I may get another 100,000 to 150,000 miles. It’s a great smaller-sized truck.

I have been there twice for the required scheduled service maintenance, but each time, it is so easy and enjoyable to go there. I have had only 2 warranty issues. Both were immediately taken care of with no other issues on the truck. This has been the best vehicle I have owned out of 21 vehicles in my life. The comfort, power, features and dependability is why I gave it 5 Stars! I have roughly 59, 000 miles on it and I drive it every day. The gas mileage is 30MPG at 55 MPH!! I regularly get 23-25 on the highway at 65. Overall I get a real 16.5 in the city, and 24 on the Highway. My truck has been babied and kept clean at all times. No dogs, no kids, and I am happy with it.

I've had mine since 20,000 miles in 2000. Now it's up to 370,000. Engine is still great. It was my highway hauler for a long time, now it's my daily driver and occasional hauler. It's getting to need some body work, but it still starts every time. It's had a few repairs and the computer board switched out, but otherwise not needing major attention yet.

I have driven this car, as a daily driver, for the better part of a decade. I am not the first owner; I’m actually the 7th! It has been all over the country, I myself driving it from Florida to North Carolina quite a bit, to city driving in DC and NYC. Reliable platform, great power, the mid gate has come into use for all sorts of loads, from cutting down trees to stone and brick. Your going to sacrifice mpg, but you should already know that if your buying a V8 6.0 liter. As far as repairs, usual wear and tear, plus this was the first year for this truck, so a surprising amount of parts are not interchangeable with the avalanche or other GM platforms. The cost for repairs depends on the mechanic and the shop; the parts are up there a bit, but cheaper than my Lexus. Still worth it, I drive this vehicle all the time. The gmt 800 platform is outstanding. I noted “having fun” as a primary use, but I use it for almost every option they had listed here.

I am the 2nd owner of a 2000 chevy silverado 2500. I bought it in 2004. I now have over 300,000 miles on the original motor and transmission. Pulls and drives great on or off the road. And I'm still driving it today

In 02 this was the truck to have! All the bells whistles you could ever want! The problem was the price,52grand was bit much for what you were getting.Its a fantastic car not so much as a truck. The box is a over sized trunk, carpet lights and a cover. It is a fantastic comfortable ride! Pop in cassette and a wonderful stereo sound gets you in the mood.The optional navigation system keeps you from getting lost. It comes all set to tow your RV or boat. At 28grand you can't go wrong! It turns heads and gives me bragging rights. In 02 the price made it ahead of it's time,now at 28grand you can have a fantastic car/truck that's a comfortable ride,so to a joy with bragging rights. Bought this truck several years ago - 2012 and it drives excellent! Pulled a 20 ft boat and trailer to the bay with no problem. It is a little tricky to maneuver around short turns.

The pickup of my choice is the 6.5litre turbo diesel. This truck did not have the most power of any diesel when made but it was incredibley reliable. It also got amazing milage, and the handeling was awesome for a three quarter ton pickup. It would pull a 26 foot stock trailer fine but you better not try to race anyone when pulling. Alltogher it was a nice machine and they should have kept making them.

After my kid totaled my truck, I needed a new one,,, I went to all the usually 28th street dealers where the sales people are up your backside while you are trying to look at vehicles,,, On my way home frustrated with the process I stopped for lunch and seen Comodo across the street so stopped in,,,, No one came outside and followed my around like a xxxx furniture sales person,,,, Prices were clearly marked on the windows. Great buy, maintenance package of good quality more of why I trust ford. Flex fuel a great idea reliable cooling and heating. Oh and tires nitrogen flourishes ideas other dealerships.

Very dependable, Very useful, and Very Fun to own. This truck is at 206,000 miles and everything still works as the day I bought it. I could not express how much I love it. It has the 3.5 ecoboost twin turbo engine and the fx4 luxury package it eats dodges and craps on chevy. Please note that if you currently have the 3.5 Eco boost or 2.7 Eco boost to change oil every 3 to 4k due to the high temp your oil gets because you have turbos the 5.0 v8 doesn't have turbos btw

I purchased my 2010 Sierra in 20111/2 35,000 miles,l now have 241,000 miles it’s not a work truck other than maintenance repairs it’s been a great truck. I have to say it still runs great,sounds good. I’d buy another one!
