2022 F150 PowerBoost 3.5 twin turbo absolutely hauls xxx with phenomenal gas mileage on a 30 gallon tank. I’ve gotten a true 600 and 700 miles out of a tank of gas when it’s in Eco mode it will run on battery alone if you’re on flat level ground and maintain your speed that’s how they obtain so many miles out of a tank full of gas probably one of the best F1 50s I’ve owned and I’ve had several of them. If you leave it in tow Haul mode it will disengage the auto stop start so the vehicle remains on. It’s been absolutely bullet proof with zero issues. If I’m not driving the Dually Diesel F350 I’m driving this..

I’m updating my ‘Original Owner After 10 Years’ review below. Almost two more years on the ‘09 F150 5.4 FX4 s/crew and it’s still going basically trouble free. I just put its second set of new brake pads / rotors on along with new calipers as well, I also installed a new Cat back exhaust on it however the old exhaust was still basically fine. In the fall of ‘19 for some reason the hood heat/ noise insulator pad started deteriorating so I replaced that. I also have new Motorcraft coil packs and fuel injectors just because I think they’ll perk the 5.4 up a bit but haven’t installed them yet. I figure if I put $1000 of extra maintenance in wear parts a year into it that’s a bargain compared to a monthly new truck payment so that’s my plan with a truck in excellent condition of this age. Overall for a truck going on 12 years old that’s been paid off since 2014 I’m way ahead of the game with this F150 FX4, nice 09-14 styles are starting to thin out now now so this one draws as much or more attention as when it was new. It’s still my daily driver and looks basically like when it came off the dealers lot so I’m going to try and get another 10 years out of it just because I’m sure I probably can. I’d be pretty careful if I was buying one used now however as they’re not all in the condition that mine is. I will say that since 2009 this truck has never let me down and has never broke down once although I credit that to proper maintenance and fixing little issues before they become big problems.

I bought this truck used from Long-Lewis in Hoover, Alabama, in July 2025. I like the performance, gas mileage, and drive modes of the 3.5 Liter Twin Turbo with 10 Speed transmission. Lots of interior space, lots of interior and exterior lighting in the right places.

I'm on my 2nd one currently. Only reason why other is no longer on the road is the frame is rotten, I resurrected it from farm field some steel welded to support the frame best could, and some backwoods cheap body work, drove for over a year as main vehicle and loved it, found almost the exact same truck just colour and no AC, but great shape and love it, both 2.3L 5 speed stick. Love this truck for running around and smaller jobs saves my half ton from doing especially with fuel prices

P.J. Finn salesman at Ulrich Ford went above and beyond in helping us find the truck we wanted. He immediately found a $2000.00 rebate no one else had found and then with his great computer skills helped us find what we were looking for. A little choppy on dirt roads, feel the uneven paved road surfaces. I attribute this to the 4X4 suspension. Excellent payload , 1865 lbs.for the non-turbo 3.3 liter which has been stellar performer in 35K miles. I average 24mpg all weather. Very good drive modes, sport kicks it up to V8 feel, shift on the fly seamless. Handles great with loads 1000 lbs. plus. Hot riding vinyl seats are sport like hugging you, difficult to turn around to look out the back window. I don't rely solely on back up camera because it does hide the corners where pedestrians are. Confining driving position barely allows for my 6 foot frame. Seats belong in a sports car, not a truck! I should have got the cloth seats! The cab lacks much space behind seats for a small cooler of water or duffel bag. The transmission was clunky in the first 4 months. I think it was the computer adjusting for driving habits. The 12" touch screen has many features and can be turned off. Integrated phone is easy set up, Personal music can be played or built in music apps. The maps are great showing satellite view and North South configuration based on direction view. Service often freezes when you get in valleys. The worst feature is vehicle manual on computer, takes 10x longer to find what you are looking for. Ask Ford to order a printed booklet! The instrument panel is well laid out however the steering wheel sometimes obstructs information. The tilt, telescope wheel is perfect for shorter drivers. There are many cluster views to choose from and two trip odometers, a big plus. I choose one layout for all driving. Took a long time to get used to where radio controls are as I was always turning down the blower motor switch. Blower motor has 8 speeds and whisper quiet up to 5. Also has an ac booster for quick cab cooling, heat, nice! The stereo has equalizer, 4 speakers and will blow out your ear drums unless you have deafness. I find the adjustments for instrument brightness, headlights, fog, and bed lights to be very awkward, An afterthought by Ford engineers? Placed at lower left below segregated instrument layout. Needs to be easily visible, not hidden from view and adjustment. The high beams light up the next county and 50 feet up the treeline. Not sure I need to see owls in the trees, but I can. The flash to pass feature needs to be more blinks, changing lanes that fast is dangerous. The windshield is large and raked offering a full road view and pillars don't obstruct the roadway. The rear view camera can be used while driving and shows tailgaters. The rear window has defrost, tint. The tint is great but defrost is imo a dumb idea. Window easily defrosts with heat or defogs with ac. This isn't a car! I chose Ford over competition because my last F150 gave me 400K, never left me stranded, had a great V6, super good tranny and decent fuel mileage. I like the payload, handling, maps and my music from my apps. I like the aluminum clad where my last steel truck started rusting everywhere. The weight is nimble feel while driving, almost sporty on twisty roadways with very good acceleration and quicker stopping. The cost of ownership is less than foreign and many domestic. I have no recalls in 2 years. I drive in snow often, the handling and my confidence level are excellent but I still have weight in the bed for traction since this is 700 lbs. lighter than my 2013. Overall, I like this vehicle very much and look forward to a new one, better designed or upgraded 2028.

This truck is bulletproof. Good ride, good handling more than adequate power, on the noisy side. A great vehicle for work or general driving. Thumbs up

My 5L, 2018 F150 keeps having problems with coils. Since there is one per cylinder and the cost of replacing one is quite high. This has become a problem. I love my truck, but this gives me cause to consider GMC next time.

Paid off, Now the Heater doesn’t work, Left wiper arm fell off in the rain. Shifter knocks/Clunks, Otherwise reliable truck. Need heating to work please.

They had the car I was interested in ready to test when I got there. I was allowed to test it right away and look at another to compare. They made a great offer for my trade, and the whole transaction was one of the smoothest I've ever encountered.

been buying dhevy trucks since 1976 was my 1st truck, now i got a 2022 silverado with a 6.2 last Feb. of 2023,kicked up the computer kicking out 454 horse power to the wheels, still waiting on my tow mirrors dont make the wiring harrness for my modle is the only problem im having with this truck, will never buy any other truck.

This truck is one of the best. I had a GMC before this and there is no comparison. I love this truck and will keep for long time.

This is a great truck. Good acceleration, towing, and four-wheel drive. I am definitely a Ford lover now. Can't go wrong with this truck. Mine is a 5.0L and can't find a fault with it after four years of ownership.

I should have gotten a 4 wheel drive to begin with. Traded in a 2018 F-150 STX 2X4 that was a nice truck but this is definitely an upgrade! The 3.5L accelerates quickly (beware leadfoot!) and pulls much easier than the 2.7L I traded away. Little difference in fuel mileage (I'm averaging around 1.4 mpg less with the larger engine) but worth the trade off. The interior is loaded with power, heated seats (both), upgraded navigation system and better quality stereo system. Heated mirrors and sliding rear window are a nice touch. This is my first 4X4 and it was really surprised at the torque output pulling out a couple of small trees and hauling away a 65' pine we had cut down. Much easier and more powerful than the 2.7L offered! Got it with low mileage and a pretty decent trade-in deal too. Think I'll keep it until the wheels fall off!

2021 LT Trail Boss has great styling, powerful engines, and tons of technology in a great package. A commanding view of the road, a nice comfortable interior, amazing Bose Stereo system, tons of storage and tons of space for adults in the crew cab. But there are issues, side mirrors are too small, harsher ride (which I expected), and DFM, GDI engines, and questions on the 10 speed transmissions. I recommend disabling DFM ASAP or using the L9 trick to overide the system, to help prolong the life of the engines from lifter failure. Mine is under warranty for another 18K miles, if it acts up at all its into the dealership for warranty service.

I was searching for a specific vehicle and I found a few on cars.com. 2020 F-150 Super Cab 2.7L Ecoboost, 10 speed transmission. At first I was concerned since I've never had a truck with a small V6. I was looking for good HP and good MPG. I liked the sporty trim STX look. Great acceleration and great MPG. Much better than my previous 2006 F-150 5.4L, which was a great truck, but it was time for a change. I do recommend this vehicle if you want MPG, power, and great towing capacity.

Lariat model. 3.5 ecoboost engine. Great vehicle. Lots of extras. 4wd works well in OBX sand. I converted from chevy silverado. Ford won me over.

STX 4X4 crew cab 2.7 eco. Bought new in Sept 2018. Overall, this truck has been very reliable, albeit a few issues. I’ll list them.. 1st thing was the transmission would slam from 3rd to 4th or 5th gear. Was fixed under warranty with a software re-flash. Then the rear brakes at 30K miles. I ended up doing a brake upgrade all around. It was a huge improvement in performance.. hope they last longer. Then the wiper switch followed by the ACIM for the sync system. That’s it in 6 years. All Maintenance has been kept up with and I've had zero engine issues. I’m at 66000 miles. Comfort on long trips is great and the truck continues to track straight with ease. I replaced the worn tires at 62000 miles with larger Nitto Ridge grapplers which have definitely decreased mpg and acceleration performance but look and perform amazingly in snow. I wouldn’t hesitate on buying another.

Since I've owned it, so far so good. I like my truck and I appreciate it everyday. A little bit of shaking in the steering at high speeds but I'm not concerned with it. Overall, pretty great.

Great truck, I have no issues with this truck. Occasionally the Snyc screen freezes up. Acceleration is excellent. Highway MPG is 23 Local is around 12 mpg. Mixed City Highway is 15 mpg

This truck is the best I have ever had. Ride is firm and stable. Steering is very positive. Mirrors and perimeter views are outstanding. Very comfortable. Not winter yet so I haven't tried all the features and accessories.
