Bought it brand new. Overall not bad but has some flaws in ergonomics. Cheap plastic that doesnt stay in place. Had to glue gas tank door plate to prevent it from coming off. Little bit underpowered for a turbo. Windows control in weird place, never can get the right bottom without looking. Transmission always shifts like it cant pick the gear it wants to be in. May upshift and downshift at the same time which feels like you get kicked in the rear.

I purchased my SEL from a dealership with only 13k miles. Great Value with every option you can get in a car the only thing it doesn't come with is a Heads Up Mph Display. The Fender Speakers System with Apple Car Play sounds rich. It has Wifi Bluetooth ,Heated back seats, Trunk Release by Foot, Remote Start, Rain Sensing wipers, auto dim rearview mirror. Door Entry lights auto, unlocks car automatically with a push button start. I wish the engine had more muscle. Overall so far 4.5 Stars

After over 78000 miles, nothing but regular maintenance. Trip from Atlanta to Ohio, 40 mpg. In town mileage 31-32 mpg. Had a 2014 and it was a great car as well. Paid $16,999 on sale in 2017 on Passat S. Best car in 55 years of driving.

I have had this car from new. Leased new for 39 months. Will definitely purchase the car. There is really nothing negative about this car. Roomy, loaded with features, comfortable ride. Economical to drive. Great paint and fit and finish. When I leased this car, Imdrove a lot of different brands. Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Mazda, Ford. No comparison to Passat.

The car was bumped when being pulled out of the dealership and there was a dent on the back bumper as a result. The interior had colored pencil and other marks inside, and there was a small tear in the backseat leather. There is an issue with the EPC where a sudden stop, or jolt of the vehicle will cause the EPC light to go on and the car will start to drive funny. When driving conditions are stable and it is reset by turning the car off, that isn’t a problem. Though I may just take it in to the dealership to have them fix any and everything wrong.

I bought a 2014 VW Passat SE in 2014 Brand New. I have done all the recommended maintenance on the car since I bought it and I have never had it break on me. I just hit 100k last month. I was driving down the highway a few weeks ago and I hit what appeared to be a piece of concrete or asphalt in the road. It made a loud thud under my car and I immediately lost power and the car turned off. I had it towed to the dealership. Whatever I hit took out my fuel pump that is inside the gas tank. They charged me $2100 to fix it. So I can tell you first hand these cars are reliable if you do all the maintenance like you are supposed to. But when they do Break, they cost way more than they should to fix them!

Gotta give a ton of love to Mo who was the product specialist that drove from Weston to Boynton to drop off my gorgeous new Atlas at 9:00 at night. Even though he had an over hour long drive back to his house in Hialea - he took his time and was overly glad to make sure I knew about all of the functionality that the vehicle offers. My neighbor who’s big into cars came over to check the car out and also listen in on Mo’s spiel about features and functionality. My neighbor has 2 new Bentleys, a new Range Rover, and a brand new Mercedes that he just got. I mention this because my neighbor (who clearly has a ton of experience with car salesman and car buying experiences) was amazed at how ABOVE AND BEYOND Mo went to make sure I knew everything about the vehicle. I want to Gunther first, and I promise if I would’ve known about the different features, I never would’ve walked out and had the opportunity to speak to Kimberliz, Mo, and Dane at Rick Case. It goes to show that doing right by the customer and going the extra mile helps solidify sales just as much as providing the most aggressive price. Rick Case truly made my buying experience easy even though I didn’t make their selling experience simple. Yes, I’m “that” guy. Again, thank you Rick Case team and especially Mo. Great value for your money. Surpassed toyota canary for price and value. Only downside small 6.5 screen other than that the gas mileage is through the roof.

My wife and I are very pleased with our choice of the 2018 VW Passat SE. The value received with nice interior and exterior features is excellent. I wish could find and afford the V6 version, but the gas mileage with the 2.0 Turbo is really nice.

To all the "whiners" out there (detailing mechanical issues) "after" 100,000 miles. You don't let ANY brand of car go without "scheduled maintenance at or around 90-100,000 miles. Look at your maintenance book that came with the car. (ALL) cars have an expensive scheduled maintenance plan. If you buy a new 2024 its gonna have a $100-300 inspection and a mechanic bill of $150-175/Hr labor before parts. Some of you sound like you're suppose to be able to buy a perfect car that will never need maintenance. Really??? sheeesh. Buy an extended warranty and a new(er) car. You're the worst kind of driver to review any car. This brand is often nicknamed the "million mile" car bc it can go that far with "scheduled maintenance" of the engine wear items and oil changes. Can your Honda or Hydaui go that far??? I challenge you as a 4 VW car owner from the 2006-2014 to beat this brand of engine on highway mpg and engine longevity. Go do your homework and stop whining. My 2006 VW diesel still going at 325,000 and my 2014 Passat Tdi still going at 147,000 with the engine pistons and rings just getting seated at 90000-100,000 miles. You don't know what that means but as a diesel tech I can tell you it means it just getting its first break in period on its longevity of the engine parts. Farfenugen baby. Go VW!!!
