Used Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0T SEL for sale near Sands Point, NY

Good all - around vehicle...decent power, roomy and comfortable interior, quiet and smooth ride, good handling and nice steering feel, great gas mileage, good visibility... Freeway passing requires a bit of patience and planning...

This car is far superior to my previous 2021 Toyota RA4. In my distant youth I use to do some racing and handling is highest priority. Suspension, steering, 17" alloy wheels vs 15" steel wheels with hubcaps, full spare tire vs doughnut, 3 row seating vs 2 rows, 400 lbs heavier therefore more stable in windy conditions and roads that are not level, and much more. Only downside is the general Volkswagen issue with poor sound systems. Not only that, the after market is almost non-existent for the Tiguan.

I had the honor of working with Russ Millard on the design and purchase of our new X3. Russ was extremely knowledgeable and helpful during the design process along with a fair negotiation on the price and execution of the sale. We have owned three previous BMW and had the pleasure of working with the Service department in particular Donnie Kaegebein in the care of our vehicles.

I chose this Tiguan as it is large enough for me to carry my skis inside. It is extremely good on gas. It is very quiet on the road handles very well is very comfortable and is loaded with many safety and convenience features that I did not know I would even appreciate. It is very comfortable and enjoyable to drive.

Before coming into the dealership, my husband and I were hesitant because we had a terrible experience with other dealerships. Truly satisfied with our purchase and the overall experience of the place. We had clear communication from what we wanted and what was in our budget. Our family of 5 has traveled across US, Canada, & many many daily city miles, in our Tiguan (almost 200k) with solid performance. General maintenance, & a loose nut on window regulator. Acceleration slowed but spray clean of mass air flow (MAF) sensor solved issue. Seats are comfy enough but maybe less engineered for 1,000-mile trips. 2018 infotech was quirky, but good enough. Folding 3rd row, full sun & added hitch for bikes etc. make this smallish SUV super convenient for city as well as long trips.

Great car, quiet ride mostly for an SUV, glad I bought it, tested Honda CRV, Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sorrento, Chevrolet Equinox, Terrain, and many others, at that time I could not make a comparison with Toyota since there were none to be tested, the Tiguan stood above the others

I had a flat, it caused rim scrapping on both tires on drivers side, I called Brennen and brought the car in and this morning Patty called and it was a nail and they could repair tire and have rims fixed. I am so happy, that they always go above and beyond to service my car. I recommend if you’re in the market for a car, start at Rosens and for all your service needs call Patty. Thank you!!! I have a 2021 Tiguan SE 4 Motion, I have the car for over a year and with 11,000 miles. I give this car a general 4 stars. It’s a great car, very stable, great MPG, the air condition is very cold, road noise is very minimal, great driving view. Very comfortable to everyone except the driver seat, the middle armrest is low and further to the back, the door armrest is low, I have to drive with 2 small billows on long road trips. All other seats are very comfortable. The 3rd. Row is very very tight. The interior dash design is outdated, there is NO end call button on the steering wheel. Performance is good but 30-40 more horse power will definitely makes a difference. Value for money is great, but not for a resale! If you are planning to keep a car for a long time buy it. Exterior design I love it. Reliability, with less than 200 mile I had a cruise control fault, took it to the dealer it was fixed for over $1,000 but it was under warranty, two months later the problem came back again. At 8000 miles I had an engine light, EPC light (electronic power control system) something to do with the engine, and the car lost power, I took it to the dealer and there was a misfire on engine cylinder number 3. I still love my car, I would buy it again, and I hope that it will last for 10 years minimum.

Bought from out of state. Found exactly what my wife wanted, perfect for fitting multiple car seats for our grandkids, now we have 4! Matt contacted me right away, my wife and I did everything online, Tony was a great sales person when we went to pick up the new vehicle! Everybody at dealership was friendly and courteous! Even met a lady from Cleveland who followed her salesperson to Preston Kia! I highly recommend this Dealership to everybody looking for a GREAT and RELIABLE vehicle. I LOVE THIS CAR!!! so comfortable, roomy, perfect for this family of 4. Pleanty of room for my 17yr and 9 yr old to have their own space. Drives like dream the options are endless. I will definitely be getting another one when it’s time to buy again!!!

I just purchased a 2022 Jeep Gladiator Overland. It’s pristine and a powerhouse. The combination of it having low mileage, only being two years old and with a great price made it irresistible. I've always absolutely loved this car for ALL of its awesomeness, but I decided to write this review today because my Tiguan saved my life. I've owned it for 5 years and enjoyed all of it - for its reliability, performance, comfor, style - you name it. But today, thanks to this car and its safety (airbags performance in particular), I am still alive, so I wanted to write this review because this car truly deserves it. Got it when VW had a 6-year warranty. Have had no problems. Reliable, fun to drive. Pano and 3rd row. An excellent family car and well appointed German engineering.

We had a 2018 Tiguan SEL, the first year with the lengthened body. We loved the car, but with 40,000 miles on it we decided to trade it in for a 2020, trading up to the Tiguan SEL Premium R-Line - the top of the line. This car has all the bells and whistles, and it drives and performs better than the 2018. I don't know if that's because it's an R-Line or that the newer Tiguans had some performance and handling tweaks. Anyway, this is an awesome car - lots of interior space, great looking and filled with features. I can't see why anyone would buy an Atlas, which had about the same capacity, costs a lot more and, with a six cylinder vs the Tiguan's turocharged four, gets worse gas mileage.

My 2018 VW Tiguan has been good to me, I bought it 3 years ago, no major issues with the engine or transmission. In April I replaced the driver side window master switch. I order it on eBay and put it in myself. Beside that no issues at all keeping my fingers crossed.

The service staff were very courteous and completed the inspection and repairs in a timely manner. When they promise they deliver. I would strongly recommend them.

#1 Cochran CJDR is by far the best dealership I have ever dealt with!! My sales, to post-sale follow-up and service, i have had nothing but 110% positive experiences with them. Just yesterday, my Wrangler was due for inspection, it was a brand new 2024 I purchased earlier this year, but had July inspection stickers. I really didn't even think about when I bought it, but both my service advisor and the sales manager went above and beyond and did the inspection on their dime since I only had it a few months. I was not expecting that, but they truly take care of their customers!! I highly recommend them. So much so, that after my Jeep I purchased 2 more vehicles from this dealership, one for my wife and one for my youngest daughter, and a Hyundai at the Monroeville Hyundai dealership. Each sale was absolutely a breeze and their pricing is hands down the best on any vehicle and makes the process so simple for everyone involved!!!

I was at Tom Gibbs and saw buy 3 get one free on tires. I priced it out and was very happy with the price. They gave me lifetime of tire free alignment and can’t believe how great a job they did. My car going down 95 didn’t budge. It was straight as an arrow. I will tell everyone I know….go to Tom Gibbs. It’s a local family run business and they care about customer service.

I love my Tiguan. I have seen some complaints about the seats not being comfortable, However, I find mine to be vastly more comfortable then other cars I have been in. I have the SEL Premium so that may have something to do with it. That being said, The car is beautiful and all of my friends just love it many saying they wish they had a car like mine. Three of them are currently looking at getting a Volkswagen as their next car. Overall, it rides nice, has great features at a price point that could not be beat, and the car does pretty well on mileage in my opinion. I still walkout and see my car and think "wow that is a great looking car." The only issue I have is a pretty trivial one, the sports mode which has a fantastic "zip" uses a bit too much gas. I would buy this car over and over again. I love it I also have never had a problem on any of my trips to and from NY and Florida

My husband and I were visiting our daughter in Duncan and were only there for a week. The cruise went out on my brand new Tahoe (we purchased at home in Tennessee). I spoke with Walter and explained our situation. He went above and beyond, providing top notch customer service. He fit us in, told us the issue, ordered the module and got us in to have the module installed. He even apologized that we had to wait. His apology was not necessary, but was appreciated. My husband and I had initially gone to Chevy in Duncan and they wouldn't even try to help us. But Walter provided such great customer service that we told everyone we came across about it. If there is an award for customer service, Walter needs to get it!

We bought a 2019 Tiguan and we are very impressed. We've had many Toyotas and this is our first VW. Driveability is awesome, comfort is excellent. We will wait to see if it's as long lasting as a Toyota.

I hate car healers. They make me nervous and uncomfortable. The whole car looking/ purchasing is never fun. Drive time CC was great. Never felt pressured. Lots of inventory.

I love this car. there are so many perks, but also a couple cons. 1. I love the interior, the buttons are very easy to understand. 2. I LOVE THE ALERT IT GIVES WHEN YOU'RE TOO CLOSE TO A CAR, literally saved me from so many accidents. 3. it has a third row, which I didn't even find out about until a year after having my car, which was sick. although I love this car, but its not great in the winter. I probably got stuck about 40 times last year (not exaggerating). but I got new tires and were gonna see how it treats me. one of the only things I don't like about the interior is the center console. its really deep and I tend to lose things in there and it gets messy quickly. Overall I want to say that I definitely have emotional attachment to my blue volskwagon Tiguan, and don't know when ill ever let it go. I hope this review helps somebody.
