Nice riding vehicle EXCEPT it has a hesitation issue when you step on the gas from a standstill. Happens most when the "stop/start" is active, less when you turn it off but it still hesitates. Dealer has no answer other than it is normal and we can't find anything. Others have voiced same concern, recall?

I have owned this 2023 Tiguan SEL R line for almost a year. I have been absolutely satisfied with the quality, the ride, the fuel mileage and everything else about it. IMO it’s the best bang for the buck on the market. It is loaded with options and is still very affordable. I love this VW and , of course, I highly recommend it.

30mpg avg with the longest and widest roof rail base for outdoor gear at a price that made sense. 2nd row middle seat folds down individually for skis and paddles. Remote start on the vw app is great for cooling the interior down on a 100 degree day from a distance. Rear seat door opening and leg room is huge great for elders to enter easily and for parents loading car seats.

Very friendly and informative place, staff approachable and knowledgeable. Good selection of vehicles. Prices competitive.

This car is far superior to my previous 2021 Toyota RA4. In my distant youth I use to do some racing and handling is highest priority. Suspension, steering, 17" alloy wheels vs 15" steel wheels with hubcaps, full spare tire vs doughnut, 3 row seating vs 2 rows, 400 lbs heavier therefore more stable in windy conditions and roads that are not level, and much more. Only downside is the general Volkswagen issue with poor sound systems. Not only that, the after market is almost non-existent for the Tiguan.

I chose this Tiguan as it is large enough for me to carry my skis inside. It is extremely good on gas. It is very quiet on the road handles very well is very comfortable and is loaded with many safety and convenience features that I did not know I would even appreciate. It is very comfortable and enjoyable to drive.

Our family of 5 has traveled across US, Canada, & many many daily city miles, in our Tiguan (almost 200k) with solid performance. General maintenance, & a loose nut on window regulator. Acceleration slowed but spray clean of mass air flow (MAF) sensor solved issue. Seats are comfy enough but maybe less engineered for 1,000-mile trips. 2018 infotech was quirky, but good enough. Folding 3rd row, full sun & added hitch for bikes etc. make this smallish SUV super convenient for city as well as long trips.

I've always absolutely loved this car for ALL of its awesomeness, but I decided to write this review today because my Tiguan saved my life. I've owned it for 5 years and enjoyed all of it - for its reliability, performance, comfor, style - you name it. But today, thanks to this car and its safety (airbags performance in particular), I am still alive, so I wanted to write this review because this car truly deserves it. Thank you to all the people who've made this car.

We bought a new car from Balise VW. Adams Ibrahim and Fabian Graham were absolutely incredible. From the moment we began the process they were transparent and forthcoming, patient and kind. They went out of their way to help us with the transaction. They weren't pushy, didn't belittle us, and they went above and beyond. Here's why this is significant. We bought our car from Balise in Rhode Island. But we live in Wisconsin. Adams and Fabian helped us to arrange shipping, they made sure our new vehicle was handled with tremendous care and they checked in constantly to make sure that delivery was on track and proceeding smoothly. We invested a significant amount of trust in them. What if our car arrived and it wasn't as advertised? What if it was damaged along the way? Adams and Fabian were heads and shoulders above the rest of the dealerships we spoke to. This isn't empty praise. We were speaking to other dealerships in Milwaukee, Stevens Point, St. Louis, Chicago, Delaware, and several other places. The dealership in St. Louis tried to trick us into a vehicle we didn't want. Other dealerships in Milwaukee were dismissive. A few of the dealers in Chicago told us they had the exact car we wanted but then it was mysteriously sold before we could reserve it. Adams and Fabian are extraordinary. If we decide to get another VW, we're inclined to work with Balise, and we will absolutely reach out to Adams and Fabian in the future. I really liked this car, the car is easy to control, accelerates quickly when compared with others. Comfortable and plenty of space inside. I moved from a KIA sedan, and I can say that you get used to the dimensions of the car very easily and quickly. And compared to the KIA, the build quality of the car is felt, and that it is made of metal.

It's a medium-sized SUV. It's not a Porsche, Audi or MB. It is comfortable, reliable, the size and capacity I sought. In two years I've put on ~24K miles and absolutely no problems. My wife is handicapped and uses a walker. She thought the car was comfortable and we made two round trips from Hartford, CT to Key West. In the last 60 years We've had a Beetle, Passat, and a VW Bus that carried our family of four and 2 Dachshunds aacross the country and back to Connecticut - Twice!

My door handle on my hatchback has been repaired and replaced two times and now is gone again. It is a 2017 Wolfsburg and I am not pleased with the cost of 1200. I wouldn’t mind but they are only lasting two years. Ridiculous. Can’ use my hatchback.

We wanted a Audi Q3 but all the dealers in the state had only loaded models. Being in our 70's, we weren't interested in technology, appearance, performance, or off-road add-on packages. The Tiguan SEL-R has all the features we want that a Q3 Premium Plus has. Sure, the Tiguan won't match the Q3's performance or looks. but it is close enough. And it has more interior room than a Q5.

My experience with Sandy Motors was easy and pleasant. They took the time to explain everything to us about the car and the process. They were patient waiting for us to get financing. I really love the feel and comfort of this vehicle. It serves my family of 4 well. I am the 2nd owner at 13,000 miles. Only issue so far is the oil consumption. After only driving the car 600 miles after my first oil change, check oil light came on. It was a qt. low. I am now in the process of getting it checked at my local VW dealer. Will update on outcome.

I had very limited time to pick out a car. I was looking for something reliable with low mileage that would last me awhile. With gas prices being super high, a car that was good on gas would be an added bonus for my wallet. After doing some research on Kelley Blue Book, Clinton Motor Cars showed up with a 2010 Toyota Corolla that had 68k miles in an elegant gray color. I reached out to Ryan and was able to go take the car for a test drive on the next day. We drove an hour and a half from Cape Cod to their shop because their prices were unmatched in our area for what we wanted. My partner was hesitant to go through a dealership because of their reputation, but the guys at Clinton Motor Cars changed his perspective. Ryan and Tony were able to answer all of our questions and make the car buying experience better then we ever could have imagined. They found us a payment plan that worked for us even when it seemed impossible. They made us feel welcome, taken care of and they even hooked us up with their insurance guy who gave me a quote almost 2k less a year then the competitors. Its been one week since that test drive. My car is sitting in my driveway. It was registered, insured, and inspected all before leaving the lot! I will definitely be referring all family and friends in search of a car to Clinton Motor Cars. I would like to send a big thank you to Ashley Couto for continually providing me with exceptional service. My truck has been in many times over the years for regular maintenance and service and she never disappoints! She takes the time to make sure everything gets fixed and advises me on the unseen issues. She’ll call me and say , we noticed this or that and asks me if I would like to fix it while it’s there and I usually always do! Ashley is one of the reasons why I would definitely keep buying vehicles from them!

I got interested in this car when I rented it for a couple of days while conducting business out of town. I discovered that it suited my auto needs 100 percent, and at such a reasonable price. I am of a certain age and I find it more of a challenge to get in and out of cars. I don't like climbing up into and sliding down out of trucks and SUV. I don't like bending the slipping into sedans and having to pull myself out of them. The Tiguan comes closest to walking into the driver's sit and walking out. As for stowage, the stowage in the rear also is at perfect mid-thigh level, minimizing bending and lifting. So comfort was of highest priority. But economy comes in a close second, and so far the MPG is great. So is the pickup; it's plenty peppy.

I bought my 2013 VW Tiguan S in 2015 when it had 20k miles on it. I had all the fluids changed (brake, transmission,engine oil, coolant). I drove it In Houston Tx commuting for 2.5 years and then have been driving it since then in Austin around town and on a few long trips. I frequently had brake fluid, engine oil and other fluids exchanged at dealerships).At around 100k when more complex maintenance issues arose, I abandoned the VW dealer shops for Brink Motorsports in Austin, Tx, a shop that specializes in the Audi/VW group. Working with them I did the following. Replaced 16" VW wheels with 18" VW CC used wheels and oversized Michelin Defenders. Added a 2" Forge lift kit on the rear suspension as well as Bilstein B6 struts and shocks. I replaced spark plugs and coil paks at around 110k due to misfires and also replaced the timing chain , the intake valves and manifold decarboned, the water pump replaced, a 2" trailer hitch and wiring harness installed, a new windshield installed (rock chips), and an APR Stage I chip installed, all by Brink Motorsports. Because of the bigger, better wheels and tires and suspension lift and Bilstein B6 upgrades, the car is slightly raked forward, is taller by 2" or so, has igreat grip and turn in on handling and takes off like a scalded cat at middle and highway speeds. It is an absolute rocket ship and a troll for Toyota and Honda tailgaters , can be driven with a very light touch on the throttle and the K&N filter allows a little more throttle sound to penetrate the cabin. I describe it as a "VW GTi on stilts" although frankly, against a stock VW GTi or Tiguan this vehicle is quicker (and those vehicles are no slouches with the stock 2.0 turbo engine). The car is at GTi or Tiguan R levels of performance . The lift and wheel/tire combo give the vehicle the aggressive stance it lacks from the factory. I have not spent any money on body kits as it doesn't need it. Now it's at 130k and I still enjoy it. I DID have a VW anti rattle clip installed on the turbo waste gate actuator as this slight sound is common to the VW KO3 after some mileage. Eventiually , that part will rattle itself to death and the turbo will fail. To pre empt that, I am considering a new turbo installation , however the parts and shop cost have so far prevented me from acting on that idea. A new spring actuated diverter valve has been excellent in preventing boost leak. A new PCV valve (twice) has also helped. After half a dozen brake fluid changes over the years, the brakes are still running the original pads, rotors and wheel brake cylinders with no leaks and only an. occasional cold brake in reverse squeal. IF, I want to keep it running like it does now, pads and rotors will require replacement in the coming few years. In summary, it has been an enjoyable , quick ride after the upgrades, as opposed to the slightly less enjoyable stock experience. I highly recommend the APR chip. Stage 1 runs great with the stock exhaust and gives you close to 320 ft/lbsd of torque in the mid 3000 rpm range and similar hp numbers at the top end of the rpm range. The DSG shifter, although not lightning quick, is quite reliable if you want to drive it in manual shifter mode from time to time.(Or start in second gear). For best acceleration times upshift at 3500 rpm to stay in the maximum torque band. Revving it above that when accelerating places you on the decreasing torque side of the power curve, which is notably slower than the max torque at 3000-3500 side of the torque curve)..so a little common sense helps here with that issue. High rpms are neither necessary OR the fastest when accelerating. When you start running out of torque at 130-140 mph you're going to fast anyway. Time to slow down. It's fast to 120 plus on a 60 mph rolling start. Care has to be taken driving the car just because of the very high top end acceleration capabilities. Holding the hammer down at highway speed takes you triple digits quickly.
