Absolutely love the car. The 2.5 is one of my favorite engines, I’m 6’2” and even in the two door it’s one of the comfiest cars I’ve ever driven. 6sp swapped it and threw it on track suspension and the car is an absolute weapon in the mountains. Once you play around in the engine bay a bunch you kinda lose the reliability but she’ll never blow.

I went to look at an '06 Miata I'd seen on line. They had 2. They worked with me on getting the one I wanted with the wheels off the other one. Excellent! They helped me with financing. After conducting a credit check, which did not yield the best results, Marcus advised me to contact my bank, make a payment on my credit card, and request a pre-auto loan. I followed his advice on Friday morning, but unfortunately, my bank declined my application. I promptly informed Marcus of the denial, despite having made a payment on my credit card in an effort to improve my chances of approval. I then inquired about the possibility of having my brother cosign the loan, to which Marcus agreed. He sent me a link where my brother could provide the necessary cosign information, and within 30 minutes, Marcus contacted me with the welcome news that my application had been approved. He inquired about a convenient time for me to collect my new vehicle. I was thrilled to receive this news, especially considering that my bank had previously declined my application and having my brother cosign was my last resort. With winter approaching, I was eager to acquire a reliable vehicle, so I informed my brother of the update, and we proceeded to sign the necessary paperwork the following day, on Saturday. Just bought a pre-owned 2014 VW Golf and I couldn’t be happier! This thing is FUN to drive - I never understood when people said a car “hugged the road” or felt “sporty” - well now I do! This little thing feels solid, has excellent acceleration, and ia getting great gas mileage. So glad I ditched my expensive SUV. My “downgrade” feels like an “upgrade.”

I bought my golf new at the end of 2016 and would have kept it much longer if it had not been totaled in an accident. The few little issues I had were covered under the initial warranty (coolant leak, trunk leak). Nothing else other than normal maintenance things like brakes and tires up to 81,000 - that's as far as I can speak to. I took good care of it, did the VW service things for the most part and I have no doubt it would have lasted to 200K or beyond. It looked cool and was fun to drive. I had the S manual. I enjoy driving and had a tiny regret about not getting the Wolfsburg edition (faster engine, slightly better options like heated seats and sun/moon roof).
