This is my 2nd XC40 and it is one of the most perfect cars but its by no means cheap. The car can be as loaded as its bigger brother, except for heads up display. They all use the same engines, with the exception of turbo types, and bi-turbo options. All Volvos are moving to mild hybrid as standard and all 2023 XC40's are now mild hybrids. The XC40 is nimble, loaded and well designed. It has just about every feature including all wheel drive, Google auto, panoramic sunroof, power tail gate, and leather seats, redesigned for 2023. It is stylish, detailed and not meant to feel like the entry model. In fact, it can cost more than its bigger brother the XC60! Driving it is a pleasure as it is preppy and confident.

Bought an S60 from Robbie and Keagan, they were refreshingly low key and low pressure compared to other dealers that I had visited. It took me 3 visits to the dealership to finally make up my mind--the sales staff were accommodating and helpful throughout the whole process. The cars were sleek and stylish and up to date.

After only a month, I am truly "in love" with my XC-40. I wanted to get one a few years ago. However, Covid-19 got in the way. When it was finally time to upgrade this year, I did it and have not regretted it. Great ride, all the safety features I wanted, excellent ride and handling , above EPA rated fuel economy, roomy seating. Plenty of room for my golf equipment.

Love the tech in this car. Maps, adaptive cruise, auto high beam, lane warning, hybrid averaging 31 mpg. Still good power with the turbo. Excellent sound including the Bluetooth.

Alright, so the service this dealership offers is absolutely unbelievable. From the sales manager, Lance, on down. I’m a small business owner myself, so knowing that customer service means is absolutely everything, I can say without hesitation, that Volvo Cars Carlsbad has been the best car buying experience my wife and I have ever had. Olin, our sales rep, even showed up with my 4 year old daughter’s favorite stuffy buckled in to the front seat when she left it at the dealership. To this day, she says to me “daddy, do you remember that nice man who sold you your car?” Yep, that means a lot to her and to me. Look, I may have gone into way too much detail with this review, but my experience was truly extraordinary with Volvo Carlsbad. It’s why we went from a Lexus and a Mercedes household to a 2 Volvo household in two weeks time. If you’re looking to buy a Volvo in San Diego or Orange counties, make the trip out to Volvo Carlsbad, you will not be disappointed.
