This is my 2nd XC40 and it is one of the most perfect cars but its by no means cheap. The car can be as loaded as its bigger brother, except for heads up display. They all use the same engines, with the exception of turbo types, and bi-turbo options. All Volvos are moving to mild hybrid as standard and all 2023 XC40's are now mild hybrids. The XC40 is nimble, loaded and well designed. It has just about every feature including all wheel drive, Google auto, panoramic sunroof, power tail gate, and leather seats, redesigned for 2023. It is stylish, detailed and not meant to feel like the entry model. In fact, it can cost more than its bigger brother the XC60! Driving it is a pleasure as it is preppy and confident.

we had our car in for a warranty covered repair and also had about 5 preventative maintenence things done isaac was our contact, he was very friendly, thorough and efficient, we brought the car in at 7:00 a.m. and we had it back by 1:30. we are very pleased. also, the temporary setup is very nice as that goes but the new one will be even better

I was looking for a specific car that was at this CarMax. Problem was that I live in Minnesota, not Chicago and would have to traveling a great distance for a car I had not seen other than in pics, potentially risking wasting a great deal of time and money. I had to trust Jonathan, my salesman, to tell me the condition of the car where the pics could not. He was completely honest and the car was exactly what he said it was. Between Jonathan and Adam, the sales manager i was able to close the deal and drive back to home within an hour. I am completely pleased with the car and 100% satisfied with the dealership. Cars are well-priced, and so you don't feel like you have to go through exhausting negotiations to make sure you're getting a good value. Both salespeople I worked with (Moe and Henry) were very helpful in getting me the information I needed to make a decision, and they both were readily available to assist me throughout the steps of the transaction. I bought from out of state, and so I really appreciated the responsiveness. All the paperwork was delivered in the timeframe they promised me. Overall, it was a smooth transaction and I'm very pleased with the car I purchased from them.

A great car. It checked most of the boxes that I had when looking for cars at the time. I ponied up for the Polestar software upgrade and wow did that make a difference. A few reviews had said that the car was underpowered. Not any more. There are some great details and some strange ones too, but overall it's one of my favorite vehicles. Like any car these days, there are a few niggling things that Vovo can't seem to fix. The hood doesn't seem to fit correctly no matter what Vovo did. It "bangs" when you lean against it (cleaning the windscreen, etc) and when the car is jolted (potholes, etc). No amount of work seems to properly address the issue. It's 2.5 years and I've been through a set (2) batteries (main and stop/start). It is now giving me the feeling that the main battery is failing again. The stop/start has not worked consistently since I got the car. Vovo tells me I don't drive it enough to keep the battery charged. Well, I do 5 to 6K a year and if that's not enough they should say so up front. Seems to me that there is something up (or down) with the charging system. Again, I'm impressed.

My partner wanted me to get a vehicle that availed itself of all the current self-driving and safety technologies currently on offer, and after much research, this is car I landed own. And the XC40 did not disappoint. I'm approaching my first year of ownership and comfortably say it is the best vehicle I've ever owned. With near seamless adaptable cruise control making multiple long-haul road trips as effortless as driving across town, my Volvo makes me want to drive it anywhere. Stylistically, it's a bit frustrating to now see every car on the road racing to copy its black-roof aggression, but I still get looks from folks who want to know if "that's a Volvo?" Of particular note is how the interior eschewed the trend of tacking on a giant tablet screen, opting instead for a generous dash-embedded interface that is comprehensive, intuitive and instantly responsive. I also love the app-driven features like remote start and customer temperature. The reputation for reliability is well-earned and validated. In summary, the prospect of this car one day needing to be replaced fills me with anxiety because I want to drive it forever. Well done, Volve.
