Used Volvo XC90 for sale near Brookdale, NJ

On September 18, 2023, I purchased a new 2024 Volvo and am happy that I chose to do business with Patrick Volvo in Schaumburg, Illinois. Shortly after my arrival at Patrick, I was very lucky that I was courteously approached by Belen Amador, my Client Advisor. Because she was not pushy (I appreciated that very much), I chose to accept Belen’s assistance throughout the buying process. I was pleased that I had a seamless transaction because of Belen Amador’s expertise and exemplary customer service. She was knowledgeable, helpful and thorough before, during and after the sale. Patrick Volvo is fortunate to have Belen on their staff because she is an excellent representative for their dealership. There is no question that when I need another Volvo, I will most definitely contact Belen. It was my pleasure that I had the opportunity to do business with her. In addition, I would not hesitate to highly recommend Belen and Patrick Volvo to anyone else interested in buying a Volvo. Can't say enough about Kyle and the overall experience at Smythe. We had just come off a horrific experience at another dealer (two bad experiences, actually). We were so turned off. But we found this beautiful Audi at Smythe and decided to give it another go. My wife stopped in and met Kyle. He was terrific from the start. All she did was want to see it before the two of us went back. There was no pressure, no "sales-pitch" or anything. Just a nice guy who listened to my wife and her auto buying needs. We went back that night, test drove the car, talked with Kyle (again, "talked", no pressure). He took the time to answer to every question we had and explained everything in detail. It was more of a conversation than a sales transaction. We explained what we were looking for, in terms of deal (money down, monthly payment, etc.). Kyle introduced us to Abood, helped us explain exactly what we were looking for and we were told "No problem. We hear you and will do our best. If it doesn't turn out to be the deal you are looking for, no worries, but we'll call you in the morning." Next day, my wife got the call and the deal we talked about the night before was they deal made happen. No sweat, no stress, no anxiety. We walked in later that afternoon. Car was prepped, big red bow on it, papers ready to sign, and my wife as out of there in under an hour. THANK YOU Kyle, Abood, William (our delivery specialist) and everyone at Smythe. Great awesome cars in every aspect, comfort, performance, handling, smoothness, features, reliability (not in some models though) and especially safety. You get the best bang for your buck in Volvos. Only thing I would say is to stay away from the XC90 T6 (petrol engines) from 2015 - 2016. (Not sure if 2017 has these problems, as I havnt experienced anything from the 2017 models) I sell many of these Volvos But the petrol XC90s T6 from 2015 - 2016 are very unreliable because of being the first year of these models when they first came out. Had many experiences with failing superchargers ($4k to fix ) evaporator failing ($5k to fix) and also these engines have a known fault that the pistons don’t inbed in properly in some of the engines and it burns massive amount of oil. (Did a test in a customers car, was burning about 2L of oil every 1000km) Also comes with a few hiccups here and there with coolant leaks, and oil leaks etc. I’ve never had a problem with the XC90 D5 (diesel engines) as they seems much better because they don’t have the engines failing or a supercharger in these models. This have the failing evaporator but this item was the least part failing out of everything I mentioned. I hope this information has helped out some people who are deciding to purchase a Volvo 😊

I loved my XC90 but traded it due to the cost of fuel. I drive 40 miles a day roundtrip to work. I would easily go through a tank of gas in four days. Best mileage I ever got was about 22 highway. The XC90 is a heavy SUV and shaped like a block. Not a lot of aerodynamics. As for comfort and luxury you can't go wrong the XC 90 is pure luxury and has great pickup and handling. Just be aware the mileage is not good.

T6 106k miles, replaced Brake pads, spark plugs, and one to engine mount. Everything works! Amazing auto pilot up to 80mph lifetime avg 21.3 MPG mixed driving, regular gas! Quiet, blast T6, super comfortable seats, active safety! I cant think of anything better. Stay away from T5

I have had a great experience here. The Sales team was extremely patient and did not push us to make a purchase. They made us feel welcome and comfortable. Service is great as well. They always accommodate our requests and respond with an option that is convenient to us. Premm was great. He spoke with me and understood our concerns and provided immediate assistance in making sure that the issues with the car were handled and addressed right away.

John Maxton and Steve Dolly were very willing to work with me to find the best fit based on my needs, wants and budget. The staff at Volvo Bridgewater are top notch.

Never had any major problems with the car. Mostly software problems but they were quickly fixed with a restart/reset of the system. The ride is bery comfortable and on long drives a pleasure to sit it. The place this car has is huge and every passenger has largly enough space. The car is slightly underpowered for such a heavy tank (only 235PS) but is still enough to have a comfortable ride (low RPMs) on the highway. I average 37-33mpg which gives me about 700 miles of range and if you’re not in a hurry and drive about 50-60mph you can even go up to 900 miles on the highway (I drive the mild-hybrid). I feel also safe driving it, thanks to all the assistants it has and the safety-history.

Had an pleasant interaction with the sales staff. At first by email and phone. Then visited at due to random chance. The sales person i spoke to was really pleasant, not pushy. However the dealership, like many other, tacked on additional fees which should be part of the cost of business and not added to the customer as 'additional fees'. I didnt purchase because at the time i wasn't ready, so i didnt get to negotiate etc, however the added fees are discouraging.

As a long-time customer, I've seen this entity improve substantially under it's relatively new management. My most recent service visit (scheduled annual maintenance) was particularly gratifying. Antonio has handled me in the past, and he made me feel as if he knew me personally, even though it's been a year since we last interacted. He is thoroughly professional, and he is an excellent ambassador for a company that delivers on the promise of superb service, which one hopes for when paying for Volvo - I was well taken care of - and it's highly appreciated - especially during these stressful times. We're currently living upstate, but I preferred to take care of this in Manhattan, instead of establishing a new relationship with an upstate dealer, and I am glad I did so.

This car is phenomenal the only complaint are the ongoing mains costs. I believe they could b reduced so more folks could take advantage of a great car.

I have been at other dealers on the West Coast and Midwest , but I can honestly say that Smyth has been the very best. I purchased my 2009 Volvo XC90 last year to serve the purpose of a comfortable commuter car, and considering I payed next to nothing for the vehicle itself, my expectations weren't too high. However, after only owning the vehicle for a very short time, I found myself thoroughly impressed with the car. It became apparent to me that Volvo built their cars with a different mindset then their german rivals, as none of the features that my Volvo was equipped with were revolutionary for the time: heated seats, automatic climate, rear seat entertainment, etc. All very nice options to have, but they could be just as easily had on an X5. However, getting behind the driver's seat of the Volvo is completely different from a BMW or Audi, as the car feels just as heavy as it is. Rather than trying to mask the weight of the car, Volvo chose the path of embracing it - and it worked. Driving the XC90 is like driving a comfortable, leather-lined tank: it's confidence inspiring not in terms of speed, but road presence. To sum it up, I would absolutely recommend the XC90 to anyone in the market for a quality used SUV, as Swedish engineering proved itself to be a pleasant surprise to a German-biased individual such as myself.

I saw a car that I was interested in and called the dealership, Smythe Volvo in Summmit. I spoke to a salesmen, Jesus Garcia. I drove to the dealership to see and test drive the care. Jesus was very accommodating. His warm and kind nature made it easy and comfortable in deciding on the car. When we got back to the office I gave an offer and it was excepted. I picked the car up in two days. I thank Jesus and the finance manager for their time in creating a non hostile situation. Special Thanks!

This is my fifth Volvo. My most important feature in any car is safety, and this car is SAFE. It is super comfortable, reliable, attractive, and an all around great car. I had XC70's until this XC90. It was tough to switch, but I'm so happy. My only disappointment is that I have two big dogs and they can't both fit in the way back comfortably, so I have a crate in the way back and a crate in the middle with two seats folded down (one up for a passenger). Otherwise, it's a "10." No issues at all at 4 years in.

I had gone to 2 other Volvo dealers (Karp and Glen Cove) and had a horrible financing experiencing customer service experience. They did not make me feel like a loyal Volvo client whatsoever. The Glen Cove experience was just a joke- rookie salesperson who actually asked inappropriate questions and should be trained better before talking to customers. Queens Volvo rectified ALL of their mistakes combined and why they got my sale.

I truly can not say enough good things about my new 2022 Volvo XC90 T6. I have admired the Volvo SUVs from afar as a minivan mom for 15 years and this was my year to make the move. No turning back; it is sporty, classy, comfortable, safe, I could go on forever. Classic black and dark brown interior. The info center takes a bit to get used to and it seems like there are features everywhere so definitely just hop on you tube to figure them all out at your own pace because the sales person will tell you, but no way you can get them all down. One of my ultimate favorites are the rotating fog lights. As you turn the lights turn with your vehicle. Lane assist is not for me; I've been driving too long to have it as it seems overbearing. 360 camera and all of the warnings are great though because you never know who is barreling down through the parking lot. Narrowed it to the 2023 Honda Pilot and 2022 MDX Technology; got tired of waiting on the Pilot and frankly it was a bit too big and the MDX just didn't have the sporty look I wanted. I feel like with the Volvo I got it all!

We have owned various cars in past to include Chevrolet (Monte Carlo), Cadillac’s Deville/Eldorado), BMW’s (740i/740IL) and Volvo’s (240/244/V70) and now 2018 Volvo SUV XC90 T5. So far the XC90 out performs all of them with respect to comfort, ride, safety features and even gas economy is very good for size/weight of vehicle. Only draw back is premium gas required for this car but I have used mid range on/off and no noticeable loss of performance. Also most people that have seen our XC 90 make positive comments on color, wheels, interior, storage space, etc. Also purchased the T5 model with 7 seats for the family and three grandkids. Excellent SUV for the past 4 yrs (35k road miles). Recently purchased an Endurance extended warranty to 133k/5 yrs. We expect to drive this SUV like other Volvo’s 150k miles or more.

Went there to test drive a lovely 2018 Toyota Rav-4. Its clear this dealership has a high standard for its used cars. The salesman, Bob Cerza, was wonderful and the test drive was excellent. The initial salesman I was in contact with over email and phone when I placed my inquiry - Ryan Preesada - was also very professional. Honestly, were it not for extenuating circumstances I might have bought that car, but I had some external issues that prevented me from doing so. I just wanted to leave a review to ensure anyone that wants to buy here that, from my experience, this is a dealership with a high bar for customer service and quality of their cars. Will definitely be recommending them in the future

After narrowing our choice down to a Volvo (I was replacing an Audi - and I had 2 Volvos in the past), I reached out to a few dealers. I felt that Bridgwater was not only the most responsive, but professional. Dominick DiFalco worked to find the exact car we were looking for...and was extremely communicative about where we were in the process at all times. This made me feel appreciated - and gained my patience through the process. At every step, I knew where I was and it all went very smoothly.
