It is simple in design but makes up for it in amenities and performance. It is grossly over powered. It has a simplistic design and the tech is very simple and easy to maneuver. Over all it was the best option for an EV with the ones on the market up to 2024 for price and performance.

Joyal did an excellent job during my service appointment today. My appt was scheduled for 11:30. I was early by 90 minutes, but she worked in my appt. I was back on the road by 11:30. She explained all the work that would be done. She polite and engaging. Overall, a positive experience.

I’ve owned my 2023 Volvo C40 Recharge Ultimate for about a month now, and it’s been nothing short of impressive. The design immediately stands out with a modern, sculpted look that feels unique on the road. Mine is in Thunder Grey with the Fjord Blue interior, and the combo turns heads everywhere. Performance-wise, it’s quick and quiet with instant torque that makes merging and city driving effortless. The one-pedal drive is smooth once you get used to it, and the all-wheel drive gives me confidence in any weather. Inside, the cabin feels luxurious yet understated. The Fjord Blue interior with backlit panels creates a calm, high-end atmosphere. Google built-in is convenient, though it can lag at times. The Harman Kardon sound system is crisp and full, and the panoramic glass roof makes the cabin feel bright and open. For now, I charge at Tesla Superchargers for convenience. A charger was actually installed in my high-rise the day after I bought the car, but it’s not operable yet. I’m looking forward to using it once it’s active. The range has been consistent in real-world use, and I appreciate Volvo’s focus on sustainability without sacrificing comfort or performance. If I had to nitpick, I’d say some software features could be more refined, and visibility through the rear window is limited, but the 360° camera helps a lot. I installed a digital rearview mirror through the Volvo dealer where I purchased my car. Overall, the C40 Recharge feels like a personal luxury cocoon. It’s quiet, confident, and thoughtfully designed. It’s a car that makes me look forward to driving every day.

Second Steingold purchase in less than 12 months. Unfortunately one of our other family vehicles (VW Passat) was totaled in recent accident. Although I was not initially shopping for another Volvo (because I already had one and like change) I decided to replace our totaled car with another Volvo from Steingold. Safety matters, especially with young, less experienced drivers. Everyone knows Volvo’s are one of the safest cars on the road. The thought of going through the car buying process again was something I was not looking forward to. One visit to another dealership confirmed what I already knew (and had already experienced first hand). Steingold is the easiest place to do business with and most professional car buying experience I have ever had. No BS. No games. Honest folks who pride themselves in old school customer satisfaction. You deal directly with the owners! No sales manger. No backroom deals. No ‘let me check’ while you wait around all afternoon. Straight answers and upfront, honest communication. Work with Brian, Michael or Steve. Buying a preowned car I asked for a few comestic things to be addressed. No problem. Everything was done beyond satisfaction. This was probably one of their least expensive cars on their lot. Didn’t matter, they treated me like I was buying the most expensive car in their inventory. I have purchased over 20 cars in last 35 years of all makes and models (Audi, Acura, BMW, Dodge, Ford, Infiniti, Honda, Lexus, Nissan, Toyota, VW, Volvo) from small dealerships to large auto groups. I purchased a 2008 honda crv67,000 miles. I thought maybe I had no chance to get into this Honda because of bad credit. But they assured me if this is the car I want they would make it happen and sure enough it did. The next day I was in my car and very happy. They were understanding, caring, helpful. They made sure the car was in mint condition when they gave it to us. It is running beautiful. I am so glad I went there. I would buy another car there in a heartbeat. They were absolutely wonderful. I truly can not say enough good things about my new 2022 Volvo XC90 T6. I have admired the Volvo SUVs from afar as a minivan mom for 15 years and this was my year to make the move. No turning back; it is sporty, classy, comfortable, safe, I could go on forever. Classic black and dark brown interior. The info center takes a bit to get used to and it seems like there are features everywhere so definitely just hop on you tube to figure them all out at your own pace because the sales person will tell you, but no way you can get them all down. One of my ultimate favorites are the rotating fog lights. As you turn the lights turn with your vehicle. Lane assist is not for me; I've been driving too long to have it as it seems overbearing. 360 camera and all of the warnings are great though because you never know who is barreling down through the parking lot. Narrowed it to the 2023 Honda Pilot and 2022 MDX Technology; got tired of waiting on the Pilot and frankly it was a bit too big and the MDX just didn't have the sporty look I wanted. I feel like with the Volvo I got it all!

Steve was very attentive, responsive & responsible. Had a number of small issues including the regular service, & he took the time to clarify/fix all of them.

This is 100% one of the best cars I’ve owned. Comparing it to my previously owned Acuras, Audis, BMWs, Buicks, Cadillacs, GMCs, Land Rover Range Rovers, Mercedes-Benzs, Porsches, Volkswagens, this is one of my top favorite vehicles for comfort, performance, technology, driving, etcetera. I 10/10 recommend.

Love this suv however when driving just a half hour the dash screen went black with a message “infotainment system cooling” restarted the car but no change. This had to be a recall but can’t find any info. Poor quality in an expensive car. Service department at dealer won’t answer their phone. Hoping they will call back

Recently purchased a CPO XC70 from Steingold. Solid, good experience. Clear and direct communication throughout the entire process. A fair deal. They also worked with me to add some accessories I wanted. I was coming from out-of-state and one of the owners even came in on his day off to meet with me so we could finish the transaction. This is an old-school, family run dealership. With active, on-site owners. Many dealers today are part of larger multi-dealer corporate conglomerates. With absentee owners. Depending on the general manager and rest of staff, such dealers may still be well run. However, there is something to be said for the old-school model. Steingold is committed to the local area as well. Also, convenient location just off the highway. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Never had any major problems with the car. Mostly software problems but they were quickly fixed with a restart/reset of the system. The ride is bery comfortable and on long drives a pleasure to sit it. The place this car has is huge and every passenger has largly enough space. The car is slightly underpowered for such a heavy tank (only 235PS) but is still enough to have a comfortable ride (low RPMs) on the highway. I average 37-33mpg which gives me about 700 miles of range and if you’re not in a hurry and drive about 50-60mph you can even go up to 900 miles on the highway (I drive the mild-hybrid). I feel also safe driving it, thanks to all the assistants it has and the safety-history.

I have ordered accessories and purchased a Volvo warranty through Steingold Volvo. Their prices are on point, and the service is prompt and friendly. I Will return.

The initial day we went to look, we were very happy leaving. We found something we loved, and Deb was amazing! We went back to do paperwork a few days later with Roger, who was also great to work with, and were told we could pick it up 24-48 hrs later. Friday came and there was a slight mix-up, but Eric and Deb took full responsibility for this mix-up and worked with us to fix it. Deb came in on her day off and we drove our car home the next day. We were looking for a luxury SUV that handled well and looked great. This was the best SUV that we ever purchased! It is high off the ground and handles well on the highway and in the city. Torque and hp are excellent and the car is whisper quiet on the road. The interior is very luxurious and the leather is soft and comfortable.

This is my 2nd XC40 and it is one of the most perfect cars but its by no means cheap. The car can be as loaded as its bigger brother, except for heads up display. They all use the same engines, with the exception of turbo types, and bi-turbo options. All Volvos are moving to mild hybrid as standard and all 2023 XC40's are now mild hybrids. The XC40 is nimble, loaded and well designed. It has just about every feature including all wheel drive, Google auto, panoramic sunroof, power tail gate, and leather seats, redesigned for 2023. It is stylish, detailed and not meant to feel like the entry model. In fact, it can cost more than its bigger brother the XC60! Driving it is a pleasure as it is preppy and confident.
