Used Volvo cars for sale near Franklin Park, PA under $50,000

Been a BR customer ever since I retired from my 30 year Army career 10 years ago. Bought my first Volvo in 2004 during my second tour in Germany. In the last ten years I've bought four new Volvos and most recently a used one. I kept buying them from BR because the sales staff is world class (after living in Europe for 17 years, I know world class). And Jim Anderson is the service department is simply superlative. He's taken care of me for the last 10 years. I drop my car off with him for anything and I never worry because I know that he's going to take care of me no matter what. He is what right looks like.

This is my first Volvo and although it took a while to get familiar with the controls, I love it! The side and rearview mirrors, warning sounds and lights have taken care of blind spots that are usual in a larger SUV, and have prevented accidents. The ride is still so smooth after 3 years, I can easily read a book on long trips. The front and rear seat adjustments allow everyone to be comfortable. We are glad for the bumper to bumper 5 year coverage we bought at purchase, and they immediately fixed any minor problems we've had over the last 3 years.

I have driven Volvos for a very long time. My 2002 V70XC was my absolute favorite. I just donated it. My first impression was the dealer and I went with one closest to my home. My big mistake. THE CAR - for an SUV the seats sit very low and are not very adjustable. The gear shift functionality is very difficult to get used to - and all the alarms. Being a mechanical engineer, I liked, no, loved the older Volvos for their functionality and interior space. The XC60 has very little cargo space. There are too many bells and whistles you need to QR scan the visor for the manual! The mpg are pitiful - I am getting maybe 15 mpg, with little pick up- the 4 liter engine is not as good as the predecessors. I was worried about the no "cold weather package" - all volvos anywhere have the same battery and the sales guy had no idea what cold cranking meant. HOWEVER, I must say when we had an ice storm and the car was a solid piece of ice the doors opened and the car started right up. BUT it did take 30 minutes + to warm up the windshield to get rid of the ice. AND my hands were so cold trying to scrape the ice off - they were too cold for the display to read my touch! The sales rep was so proud of the heated windshield wipers (?) -I prefer being able to raise the wipers during a snow storm. Here you have to put the wipers in maintenance mode and then move them out. Too many steps to get basics done (and have warm hands). I also can't stand the smudged touch screen from all the swiping and touching. Just looks dirty. BTW don't buy accessories from the dealer. I wanted rails for the top and they were asking $800 list but I could get them for $500. You can buy them from amazon or Volvo direct for $200. It's a Volvo and I have high expectations. I think it is an expensive car and I have not owned it long enough to determine value.

This Dealership gets high marks in every category of customer service. With RMS Motors, details matter, and they proved that to me over the 30 day period it took to make my final decision. Very clean dealership which to me goes a long way. Jordan, the lead mechanic was very knowledgeable and polite. I dealt with Steve and he was a man of his word. He took care of an issue and I was very pleased with the result. I would definitely recommend RMS dealership.

If I can give an award for a five star five gold diamond dealership, I would definitely give it to Steve the co-owner at RMS motors. The showroom is absolutely spotless. Never felt any pressure to buy, but within five minutes of driving our 2004 BMW 650 I convertible, Steve and I my wife struck a deal that made him smile and made me smile even bigger. I highly recommend RMS motors for honesty and their great work they do on these cars. Great car. I compare it with a high-end Mercedes that I own, Volvo is generally better built, more comfortable especially on extra long trips, quieter on the road, and intuitive in most use cases. The Bowers and Wilkins sound system is definitely superior to anything I’ve heard in high-end vehicles. The interior design is minimalistic, and the car lacks the prestige that comes with the price. From a reliability stand point, it has never put us down, and has almost completely overcome the early Goole system glitches.

Bought New, firsts 80,000 mile on the highway to NC, San Antonio, New Orleans, Memphis. Like being in my living room lazy boy. Sturdy ride. No major problems. Maintenance on schedule. On my second set of tires. Second set brakes. It's a highway vehicle for sure. Quick precise steering. It's a keeper so far. Two minor repairs. Brake pedal sensor. Can't remember the other thing.

We have owned various cars in past to include Chevrolet (Monte Carlo), Cadillac’s Deville/Eldorado), BMW’s (740i/740IL) and Volvo’s (240/244/V70) and now 2018 Volvo SUV XC90 T5. So far the XC90 out performs all of them with respect to comfort, ride, safety features and even gas economy is very good for size/weight of vehicle. Only draw back is premium gas required for this car but I have used mid range on/off and no noticeable loss of performance. Also most people that have seen our XC 90 make positive comments on color, wheels, interior, storage space, etc. Also purchased the T5 model with 7 seats for the family and three grandkids. Excellent SUV for the past 4 yrs (35k road miles). Recently purchased an Endurance extended warranty to 133k/5 yrs. We expect to drive this SUV like other Volvo’s 150k miles or more.
