I loved my XC90 but traded it due to the cost of fuel. I drive 40 miles a day roundtrip to work. I would easily go through a tank of gas in four days. Best mileage I ever got was about 22 highway. The XC90 is a heavy SUV and shaped like a block. Not a lot of aerodynamics. As for comfort and luxury you can't go wrong the XC 90 is pure luxury and has great pickup and handling. Just be aware the mileage is not good.

Great awesome cars in every aspect, comfort, performance, handling, smoothness, features, reliability (not in some models though) and especially safety. You get the best bang for your buck in Volvos. Only thing I would say is to stay away from the XC90 T6 (petrol engines) from 2015 - 2016. (Not sure if 2017 has these problems, as I havnt experienced anything from the 2017 models) I sell many of these Volvos But the petrol XC90s T6 from 2015 - 2016 are very unreliable because of being the first year of these models when they first came out. Had many experiences with failing superchargers ($4k to fix ) evaporator failing ($5k to fix) and also these engines have a known fault that the pistons don’t inbed in properly in some of the engines and it burns massive amount of oil. (Did a test in a customers car, was burning about 2L of oil every 1000km) Also comes with a few hiccups here and there with coolant leaks, and oil leaks etc. I’ve never had a problem with the XC90 D5 (diesel engines) as they seems much better because they don’t have the engines failing or a supercharger in these models. This have the failing evaporator but this item was the least part failing out of everything I mentioned. I hope this information has helped out some people who are deciding to purchase a Volvo 😊

This is my third Volvo and my favorite model of the three. It is the perfect car for me. It is a very comfortable car to drive. I love the design of the car. It has a lot of storage in the back. It has an easy system to pop down the seats for bigger loads. My XC 60 is a super nice looking car on the exterior too. It is a great car for around town and has also been perfect for longer road trips.

Jason and Adam (and the whole crew here) are fantastic! We've been going here for service and all our car purchases for over 20 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. This car's reaching it's tenth birthday in the coming year, and has definitely earned itself a good reputation in reliability, to a point. Had to have the engine rebuilt at around 100k due to a recognized flaw where the seals around the pistons (one, in my case) would shave off the side of the inner piston chamber wall. Volvo was good about it, and rebuilt it for free, but I have heard about this being an issue with a percentage (although a small percentage) of 2015 S60's. If you own a 2015.5 S60, you should be okay (released at the half-year, they changed something in their engine design so this no longer happens). The 2015 model I own is a T-5 Drive-E, but even then the engines feel strong, and the acceleration is amazing given the engine downgrade for better mileage. Pros - Smooth, quiet, fast ride - Platinum package still makes this car shine given how far infotainment systems have come in 9 years - Takes 87 gas - Cold-oriented heating options. I lived in New Hampshire most of my life, and this thing took snow and ice like a champ. Good to know Volvo durability hasn't disappeared. Never failed to start, and the electric defrost option was a Godsend. - iPod/iPhone USB slot. Honestly wish this was in modern cars. You can play music from your iPhone (or iPod if you're a person of culture) as soon as you can hook it up to the charging port. Also charges your phone. Neutrals - Nav system. Pretty basic, but once you get good with the voice commands, is amazing. Other than that you have to put in addresses with one of the DIALS on the dashboard, which is lower than T9 typing. - Auto Climate setting. This is just more goofy than anything. You'll press it thinking it will slowly acclimate based on outside temps and engine warm-up and all sorts of things. No, it hilariously just turns your AC on max. Not even mad, its just super funny to think about. Cons - Start/Stop button. I don't care how much gas I "save", when you turn an engine off and on in any instance, you're wearing down parts faster. - No oil dipstick. Have to rely on electronically checking it, which has shown me close to max for the last few months, which I doubt. - Backseat legroom. It's not horrible if you're used to small sedans, and especially if you're used to super compact cars. - Turn radius. Holy crap do not invest in this car if you like parking somewhere (well) in a single turn. This thing parks like a grizzly bear with a saddle on it---mostly forwards and backs. Maybe I just prioritize good parking too much, but I don't like looking like that one guy in the Walmart parking lot who's content with 45 degree angles. The backup cam makes this not as much of an issue. All in all, a promising Volvo. Lacks the issues of the newer models, while looking pretty modern. If possible, I'd suggest trying to find a trim level higher than the default, but any trim level will be reliable. My biggest takeaway and suggestion for this would be to regularly maintain it. Get your oil changed regularly, keep your engine bay clean, invest in high-quality tires, and don't put 93 ethanol gas in for fun. It should last you as long as it did me.

Bought our first XC70, a 2006 AWD with 185,000 miles. Now with 265,000, only routine maintenance and rear axle control unit repair. Got our second XC70, a 2016 FWD with with 180,000. Now has 203,000, and we pull a 3300# camping trailer with it. Again only routine maintenance. Neither of these cars burns any synthetic engine oil between 5,000 mile changes. I also drain and refill the transmission sump at the same time. I fully expect these cars to last to 300,000 and beyond. These cars are a perfect combination of safety, comfort, durability, style and power. After going airborne and inverted at 55 in an 82 240 wagon--the victims of an idiot--we were delighted to have survived with only whiplash injuries. The roof stayed right there. Equally delighted and impressed that the president of Volvo called the house thanking me for my letter and photos of the aftermath. He explained why they use the steel they do in roof frames. We've driven only Volvos since 1984, and will never drive anything else. We have five in our family.

I’ve been a customer of Good Guys including purchasing for our vehicles & maintenance/repairs for 10 plus years & can’t imagine going elsewhere! I LOVE my inspection report texts showing proof of work done or work needed. They say something is leaking? There’s a picture showing the leak. Scheduling is easy. They treat you with respect & as a woman, that means everything at an auto shop! They have a drop box for keys for after hours drop offs & pick ups which makes scheduling easy because anything works. a plus no doubt.

S60 T6 R design with 3.0. First off, 205,000 miles on original engine and transmission. Do the basic maintenance and the car will reward you. Amazing acceleration and handling, in league with other sport coupes. Except, comfy seats and smooth on long drives and pretty quiet. This, for a fraction of an audi or bmw. Wish it had a manual. Wish Volvo would keep making a true sport coupe like this. If they still made these I would buy another. I love this car.

Great design with the Cross Country XC70 all wheel drive. We have owned many Volvo wagons for many years. We did compare to the Subaru Outback, which is an excellent all wheel drive wagon, but found the Volvo fit and finish and overall ergonomics to be superior.

My first Volvo coming from BMW’s. It’s very affordable to fix and initial cost. It’s comfortable and heated front and rear seats and steering wheel was a real selling point. Automatic transmission shifts ok also has sport mode or manual shifting options. Gas mileage is decent. Has start stop option you can turn on or off. Back up cam is great. Visibility all around is great for being a larger vehicle. No blind spots. Love it so far!

I bought a used 2012 XC70 AWD with 65,000 miles after we were rear-ended in my Volvo 940. Before that one I had a 740 wagon in which I drove almost half a million trouble-free miles. I am not a fan of FWD (that's what this really is with traction control) but my mechanic told me the 3.2 engine was decent. After a test drive, I was really impressed and the turning radius wasn't bad so I bought it. I've now driven about 15,000 miles in it in varying conditions and I am hugely impressed. Despite its having 6 cylinders, the gas mileage is slightly better than my 940 and the difference in driving experience is like night and day. Although it doesn't corner quite as well as my earlier RWD models, the ride is much smoother and infinitely more comfortable. The seats are superb and the engine is so quiet, it almost feels like an electric vehicle. I love the heft of the chassis and the slightly higher ride than a regular car. The folks who have the turbo model speak highly of the performance, but the way I drive, the non-turbo one has plenty of power for my needs. The biggest pity is Volvo doesn't make cars like this any more. The newer ones look fancy but their 4 cylinder turbo motors just can't compare with a six. I expect repair costs to be somewhat high because of the way some components are situated under the hood, being difficult to get to, but until there's a problem I'm not going to worry about it. I love the 6-speed transmission and frankly, there's nothing about the car I don't like. Definitely better than an SUV in every way and more capable off-road than many 4WD vehicles. And it's classy looking. When you open and close the doors you know this is a quality vehicle with excellent engineering and it has safety features second to none.

Today, purchased the 2013 Nissan Juke, 112,600 mile for $9,995 today. It will be ready Wednesday or Thursday this coming week. My sales person Amy was excellent. She knew I had a firm budget (retired) and she found two great vehicles to test. The Jeep I could have taken home today with less milage... a little older, however, Jeep mph versus the Juke..., Nissan won even with higher mileage. So far, I'm "a HAPPY CAMPER"! I can't foresee any problems from now until pick-up. So, I'd say, if you need a reliable used car, Amy is knowledgeable and, in spite of the packed waiting room with eager customers, we were never abandoned. Note; yes, the sales people had to multi-task at times. Understand, at these reduced prices, compared to any dealerships for used cars... Patience, just a little patience - and you'll be treated right too. All the best to customers in need of a new used vehicle!

Bought it New in December 2012. We have had very few problems over the 11 years we have owned it. Granted we only have 85,000 miles +/-, but I would love to get an updated 2024 version of this Volvo. If I had it to do again I would definitely buy it.

The dealership is another story, if your looking for a reasonable price this is the dealership for you, they get cars from Auction so no idea about the history of the car, they get checked when you already signed for the As- is purchase, don't go there on a weekend, if you have patience, wants a bargain, (non negotiable deals)time, and good mechanic this is a place to go, got lucky with Alex very accommodating and great salesman

8 years later we still love this vehicle. We plan on driving it until it goes to the junk heap. The dealership in Edmonton is excellent and this is an SUV made for cold Alberta winters. Volvo makes a great realiable car.

Fast and dirty. 20+ salesmen all busy. 800 used cars from auction, none of them have been detailed yet. If you need a car today on a sub $15k budget I would go here and detail it yourself. Good place to buy a first car. Don’t buy a luxury item or anything collectible. The the inventory doesn’t turn super fast so every single car will likely need a rotor resurfacing. They had family guy on the tv which I thought was odd for a dealership. Not really dealership vibes, which is good!

We bought our XC-60 new and it has been the best car I’ve ever had. It’s a sturdy vehicle with a nice stable ride. We have had no significant mechanical issues. It can haul quite a bit of stuff with the seats down. The height and weight of the car are perfect and create a great blend of performance and safety. Still feels the same as when new, which is amazing.

North Haven was amazing. I am happy to have them service my car in the future. They were friendly, attentive, fast and provided quality care. It is refreshing to have somewhere that I can trust.

Got a 2017 XC 60 T6 and have been Impressed since my Test Drive. Power, Comfort, Style and Handling are More Than Wonderful ! And of course Volvo Safety !

Just bought a 2015, Volvo V60 from Good Guys as a backup car. I decided on the V60, because we already have a 2018 model and it has been very reliable and just feels safe. I didn't want to pay a lot and figured a 10 year old car would look it's age. What Adam, at Good Guys, sold me looks and feels almost brand new. Even after I made the purchase, they completely serviced the car with a new timing belt, brake pads and oil change. This was the first used car I have ever bought and Adam made the experience so enjoyable. Definitely will look at their inventory the next time anyone in the family needs a car.

This is my second Volvo. I first had a 2004 S60, which I traded in for this 2013 XC60. The SUV has a great ride and I love the ability to switch to a stick shift, which makes the car feel sporty. Overall, the car is trouble free. LIke me other Volvo, the transmission sometimes is hard to move. I actually had to replace the tranmission in the S60. This vehicle has traveled cross country, where it gets great gas mileage, with using regular gas, not high test. The city gas mileage, I live in Chicago, is not very good! The required maintenance from the Volvo dealer can be expensive, but repairs at the dealer I feel are overpriced! I got the extended warranty, which I feel was a waste of money. Overall, I really like the Volvo brand! They are fairly maintenance free and last a long time. My previous Volvo had about 110,000 miles and this one has about 63,000 miles.

This is my 2nd Volvo..prior to this I owned a XC90 which I pass down to my daughter and then to my brother who currently drives it still (2005). Love my 2010 XC60 it has been a great car and still run and looks great 130,000 later. I'm diligent in doing the preventative maintenance and I have never had a problem with my car in all my years of owning it. When the time comes to retire this XC60...I'll definitely replace with another Volvo. Best cars ever!

Car drives great, most comfortable seats I have ever had in a car. Interior quality is good and car has not broken down in 4 years and 80K miles. Have always been a Toyota person but I have been converted to a loyal Volvo owner.

I was reluctant on buying another S60 as my previous 2012 model had engine issues that led to engine failure at just 120,000 miles. However, with the 2017 model having a new engine and transmission setup, I decided to give it another shot. At 115,000 miles I haven’t experienced any mechanical issues of any sort. The performance is pretty great for the small 2.0 liter engine pumping 240 hp which pairs pretty well with the 8 speed automatic transmission sourced from Toyota. The interior is very beautiful with the real leather seats, however for 2017 it was definitely starting to age. The exterior design is absolutely immaculate, however at 7 years old it has started to experience paint chips leading to minor rust. I wouldn’t 100% blame the paint as rocks and road debris also contributed to this. The comfort in the seats is very amazing, however it’s not perfect as the cabin noise is louder than most other luxury cars. Overall I love this car and have been very pleased with its improved reliability.
