Love our gently used 2015 Volvo XC60 T6 Turbo wagon. 130k miles on it and we have only had to replace the alternator and battery. Does not burn oil, does not leak oil. Has been a very reliable car. If you do the maintenance and change the oil every 5 thousand miles it will last a long time. Regular oil changes are very important as with any car. Most people don’t do this. The 6 cylinder is one the best engines they have made. Timing chain will last a long time as long as you put new clean oil in the engine every 5k miles. No transmission problems and no differential problems for us. No one likes to spend $2,000 for the 90k service but it’s a big one. Important preventative maintenance will take this car to 200,000 miles. Read the owners manual and follow the service schedule.

This is my fifth Volvo. My most important feature in any car is safety, and this car is SAFE. It is super comfortable, reliable, attractive, and an all around great car. I had XC70's until this XC90. It was tough to switch, but I'm so happy. My only disappointment is that I have two big dogs and they can't both fit in the way back comfortably, so I have a crate in the way back and a crate in the middle with two seats folded down (one up for a passenger). Otherwise, it's a "10." No issues at all at 4 years in.

I LOVE this car. Love it. The pickup is amazing and the car is extremely comfortable. Bonus points for a great stereo system! It’s my favorite car I’ve ever owned (I’m 54). Five +++ stars!

I have owned the 2018 XC60 T8 Inscription for 3 years now. The vehicle was brand new and now has over 110k miles on it. Here is the breakdown of my rating: Performance - The T8 has incredible acceleration and handling, but the braking is a bit touchy. Easy to get used to, but easy to trigger some of the active safety features the first time you hit the brakes. Not a quick as a Tesla, but a 5.3s 0-60mph is impressive in a 4-cyl SUV. Styling - I absolutely love the sleek, minimalist styling Volvo is known for, and the XC60 fits that to a T. Clean lines, and incredibly comfortable. But they can keep the crystal shifter… Reliability - I have had -0- mechanical or performance issues, and only had to replace wear items. I docked it one star because of a glitch in the infotainment system that decided to max out the gain on the microphone right next to a speaker and send a shrill 90dB screech into the cabin… once the software was flashed the problem went away - only happened once and was a free repair (well out of warranty). I am definitely going to be a Volvo owner for life and am looking forward to taking advantage of the overseas delivery program with my next Volvo purchase.

Waited a long time to go from a 2010 to a 2020 XC60. There is no comparison to the fit, comfort, and digital experience. The stereo is outstanding. Like night and day. And I really like the older XC60!

This is my 2nd XC40 and it is one of the most perfect cars but its by no means cheap. The car can be as loaded as its bigger brother, except for heads up display. They all use the same engines, with the exception of turbo types, and bi-turbo options. All Volvos are moving to mild hybrid as standard and all 2023 XC40's are now mild hybrids. The XC40 is nimble, loaded and well designed. It has just about every feature including all wheel drive, Google auto, panoramic sunroof, power tail gate, and leather seats, redesigned for 2023. It is stylish, detailed and not meant to feel like the entry model. In fact, it can cost more than its bigger brother the XC60! Driving it is a pleasure as it is preppy and confident.

I bought my certified pre-owned Honda Hybrid CR-V Sport-L 2025 from Buena Park Honda and Sam was great to work with. Sam was kind, trustworthy and honest. After needing to replace my Infiniti Q40, I landed on the stylish Volvo S60. Coming from a 350bhp sports sedan, the S60 feels more like a smooth touring sedan rather than a performance machine—it’s a different breed, a more refined one. Comfort & Space At 6'1" and 240lbs, head clearance and shoulder width are non-negotiable for me when choosing a car. Many options, like the BMW 3 Series (which made me hit my head on entry/exit) and the Toyota Camry (too narrow in the shoulders), didn’t make the cut. The S60, however, offers ample leg and shoulder room, and the seats are incredibly comfortable. Performance The S60 is quick and smooth. My Infiniti was undeniably fast, and while the Volvo doesn’t compare in raw power, I never feel underwhelmed. It’s got enough pep to confidently pass traffic, and—based on experience—it’ll leave an X3 or X5 behind at the merge lane. 😄 Interior & Features The cabin design is sleek, luxurious, and built with high-quality materials. Everything feels solid, and the cupholders fit two large Owala or Yeti containers—something my Infiniti couldn’t manage. However, storage space is lacking; there’s no dedicated sunglass holder, and finding good spots for keys and wallets isn't ideal. Fuel Efficiency Fuel economy is impressive. Even with a heavy foot, I easily get 25mpg mixed, thanks to the mild hybrid setup. The power assist eliminates turbo lag, making acceleration smooth and responsive—while you won’t rival a true sports sedan, you won’t feel sluggish either. Driving Experience & Safety Highway cruising is effortless, and overtaking slow drivers is no problem. The self-driving functionality is excellent—on par with Subaru's Eyesight system, which outperforms Acura, Nissan/Infiniti, Toyota, and GM in my experience. Tech & Infotainment The Android Auto Operating System is sleek, and voice commands with "Hey Google" respond quickly. Google Maps, climate controls, and music apps like XM and Spotify work seamlessly. Unfortunately, it doesn’t cooperate with Waze or some other apps, which is disappointing. Apple CarPlay is available, but oddly, Android Auto isn't—a baffling omission. Supposedly, an update is already available, but my car won't update ITA so it requires a service center visit, so I’ll find out in about 9,000 miles when I take it in. A few frustrations: - No split-screen on the entertainment console—you must choose between the map or the radio, not both. - The gorgeous dash display will either show Google Maps with navigation or… nothing. Seems like a missed opportunity. - Heated seats aren’t standard, even in the Plus model. This car comes with a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, and air purification, yet somehow, no heated seats? - The phone app for remote start is quick and easy, but you can’t adjust climate settings, which is frustrating. Final thoughts: Overall, I really like this car—it’s smooth, comfortable, stylish, and incredibly safe. The price is competitive, making it more affordable than some standard sedans. Sadly, 2025 will be its last production year in the U.S., but since the engine and drivetrain match the V60 and XC60—and the model remains available overseas—parts availability shouldn’t be a concern.

Bought our first XC70, a 2006 AWD with 185,000 miles. Now with 265,000, only routine maintenance and rear axle control unit repair. Got our second XC70, a 2016 FWD with with 180,000. Now has 203,000, and we pull a 3300# camping trailer with it. Again only routine maintenance. Neither of these cars burns any synthetic engine oil between 5,000 mile changes. I also drain and refill the transmission sump at the same time. I fully expect these cars to last to 300,000 and beyond. These cars are a perfect combination of safety, comfort, durability, style and power. After going airborne and inverted at 55 in an 82 240 wagon--the victims of an idiot--we were delighted to have survived with only whiplash injuries. The roof stayed right there. Equally delighted and impressed that the president of Volvo called the house thanking me for my letter and photos of the aftermath. He explained why they use the steel they do in roof frames. We've driven only Volvos since 1984, and will never drive anything else. We have five in our family.

Before buying used, have an independent mechanic check it over. I had a bad experience with the dealer with several expensive issues shortly after my purchase. Brakes, alignment/tires, shock and steering wheel electronics (voice command, radio). The steering wheel electronics problem is common.

This car's reaching it's tenth birthday in the coming year, and has definitely earned itself a good reputation in reliability, to a point. Had to have the engine rebuilt at around 100k due to a recognized flaw where the seals around the pistons (one, in my case) would shave off the side of the inner piston chamber wall. Volvo was good about it, and rebuilt it for free, but I have heard about this being an issue with a percentage (although a small percentage) of 2015 S60's. If you own a 2015.5 S60, you should be okay (released at the half-year, they changed something in their engine design so this no longer happens). The 2015 model I own is a T-5 Drive-E, but even then the engines feel strong, and the acceleration is amazing given the engine downgrade for better mileage. Pros - Smooth, quiet, fast ride - Platinum package still makes this car shine given how far infotainment systems have come in 9 years - Takes 87 gas - Cold-oriented heating options. I lived in New Hampshire most of my life, and this thing took snow and ice like a champ. Good to know Volvo durability hasn't disappeared. Never failed to start, and the electric defrost option was a Godsend. - iPod/iPhone USB slot. Honestly wish this was in modern cars. You can play music from your iPhone (or iPod if you're a person of culture) as soon as you can hook it up to the charging port. Also charges your phone. Neutrals - Nav system. Pretty basic, but once you get good with the voice commands, is amazing. Other than that you have to put in addresses with one of the DIALS on the dashboard, which is lower than T9 typing. - Auto Climate setting. This is just more goofy than anything. You'll press it thinking it will slowly acclimate based on outside temps and engine warm-up and all sorts of things. No, it hilariously just turns your AC on max. Not even mad, its just super funny to think about. Cons - Start/Stop button. I don't care how much gas I "save", when you turn an engine off and on in any instance, you're wearing down parts faster. - No oil dipstick. Have to rely on electronically checking it, which has shown me close to max for the last few months, which I doubt. - Backseat legroom. It's not horrible if you're used to small sedans, and especially if you're used to super compact cars. - Turn radius. Holy crap do not invest in this car if you like parking somewhere (well) in a single turn. This thing parks like a grizzly bear with a saddle on it---mostly forwards and backs. Maybe I just prioritize good parking too much, but I don't like looking like that one guy in the Walmart parking lot who's content with 45 degree angles. The backup cam makes this not as much of an issue. All in all, a promising Volvo. Lacks the issues of the newer models, while looking pretty modern. If possible, I'd suggest trying to find a trim level higher than the default, but any trim level will be reliable. My biggest takeaway and suggestion for this would be to regularly maintain it. Get your oil changed regularly, keep your engine bay clean, invest in high-quality tires, and don't put 93 ethanol gas in for fun. It should last you as long as it did me.

This is my second C70, 1st one was a 2002 that I gave to my daughter, it was still going strong, and looked great too, at 176k miles, when it was side swiped by a truck in a parking lot.

I enjoyed working with Brian. He was prompt with follow-through. He was thorough and honest. I found an older Audi roadster somewhere else at a better price. I didn't use financing; i just paid cash. I am keeping my eye on the Audi roadster at CIT. Would go back to CIT.

I purchased this vehicle used under Volvo's certified pre-owned program ("CPO"). It is the second time that I've done so. My 2007 2.5T V70 (wagon) has been incredibly reliable over the 8 years that I have owned it. I can't say enough good things about this car. I hope to drive it for years to come, especially given that Volvo no longer makes the V70 the way that it did in 2007. Even the sales and service folks at my dealership say to keep it, 'cause that don't make 'em like this anymore.' The vehicle has amazing handling, pick-up, curving ability, gets great gas mileage and and the weight of the vehicle makes me feel very safe. The only features that I'd like to have but don't are bluetooth, back-up camera and blind-spot indicators. Other than that, you can keep the newer Volvos! I am a Volvo "lifer" for sure.

I bought this car in 2013 with less than 10K miles on it (certified pre-owned at the now closed Volvo dealer in Thousand Oaks, CA). I love this car, but I'm so glad I bought the maintenance contract along with the extended warranty. It has never let me down or had to be towed but it has had more than its fair share of warranty repairs. The suspension had some major issues but that may have been due to the poor quality roads and streets in Los Angeles. I will most likely be driving my C70 Volvo for many more years as I have no intention of ever selling it.

Started with my first XC70 in 1999 and bought 5 more XC70 models (all with the 5cyl engine), ending with the last three being 2016 models. 2016 being the best and the most trouble free model year yet! Love not crawling under the car anymore to do an oil change! Use a suction system used for boat motors and with the oil filter sitting in the engine compartment, it's a snap. 5K for oil changes and 20K for transmission fluid changes and it will last to 300K hopefully
