S60 T6 R design with 3.0. First off, 205,000 miles on original engine and transmission. Do the basic maintenance and the car will reward you. Amazing acceleration and handling, in league with other sport coupes. Except, comfy seats and smooth on long drives and pretty quiet. This, for a fraction of an audi or bmw. Wish it had a manual. Wish Volvo would keep making a true sport coupe like this. If they still made these I would buy another. I love this car.

I purchased a sonata, and they experience was fantastic. Jim made it so easy and took care of everything. He had 2 dogs, there Maxine and Ruby, and they are sooooooo friendly and cute. Jim took care of all the details for the car and it was an amazing time!

I got the 2012 s60 t5 used with 74000 miles on it. Had its for 2 years and I could never say enough good things about this car. By far the BEST car I've ever owned. As for its driving. OMG ! Everything about this vehicle is perfection the steering the handling gas mileage and after all this it saved my life in a horrific crash I love to have another one and won't be happy until I do. out of five stars it's easily 10

My Volvo S-60, T-5 has been one of, if not the best car I've owned. It is comfortable and has outstanding handling and acceleration with great highway gas mileage. In-town mileage leaves something to be desired but is nothing I can't live with.

I just bought a Porsche Cayenne at Selden Motors sight unseen, and had a very positive result. It was a leap of faith, putting a non-refundable deposit down, and then flying up from North Carolina to see the car and buy it. My first car was a Renault Clio Bebop, followed by a Peugeot 106 rally car, then an Alfa 145 and then I met this C30 guy in 2009. I loved it. Then I bought a C30 again in 2012, with a nicer design, the EcoDrive. I still have this and it's been 10 years. It brings together everything I like in a car: safety, stability, resistance and beautiful design. It is a shame that so much damage has been suffered in the workshops that represent Volvo – Santogal in Portugal. There it was damaged in several ways, and in the last inspection, a few days ago, they did several things to it, namely: they filled the coolant tank too much (1 finger over the maximum), they cleaned the air conditioning system and at the time removing the grille. which is near the front glass, they broke a fitting and on the same side they lost a screw, that is, this grille is only fixed on the left side, on the right side it is loose. They discovered that the inner bellows was broken and for this reason they wanted to replace both steering arms. I know that to change this bellows you have to disassemble many things, it is a lot of work, but saying that “there is considerable clearance in the suspension arms” to justify changing the right and left arms seems too much to me, especially when I go for the mandatory inspection to request an evaluation of this clearance and verify that there is no clearance, they confirmed that the internal bellows is broken but found no clearance in the suspension arms. In the past they have damaged the rims mainly because Volvo wheel nuts are really challenging as they are one of the few brands that insist on making a capped nut that is sealed to look better but eventually comes loose. . When they loosen, they cannot be released easily and that is why they do it by hammering. Over time the paint wears off and now I have wheels that are a shame. In addition to all this, the C30 for me is a fantastic car with extraordinary features. On the home/work route it consumes 5.4, which is great, and in the city it consumes more, staying at 7.2. However, in addition to being a pleasure to drive this car, because we feel that we are in a safe car, it drives quite well and responds very well in situations where we need engine and power. The engine is a known and proven engine (Peugeot 307) and as such presents no problems in this regard. The exterior design for me remains one of the most beautiful. When the car is well washed (mine is silver) it looks beautiful and has an aggressive look, naughty I would say! :) It's lovely. It's a shame they ended this model. I won't let go of mine. It will stay with me until it reaches classic status! :)

My '95 volvo wagon 850 is tops. Love everything about it. Hoping it lasts for a million miles. Never had such a great car. I see why it's called a ' flying brick'. I highly recommend it. Best ride ever.

I had a 2007 Volvo S40T a few years back and was amazed by it, simple to work on, reliable as all xxxx, quick and a gas saver, so I recently decided to get another S40, this time I got a 2005 S40 I, yes that same diehard 5 cylinder motor, but without the turbo, and let me tell you, it's crazy fast, saves gas and is fun to drive, Love my Volvo.

I’ve owned my 2014 Volvo S60 T5 since late 2022 (roughly 2 years) and here’s my experience so far: Pros: -Superior safety; Volvo prides itself with fantastic safety ratings and constantly keeps the latest safety standards in mind when designing restraints and airbags. -Outstanding comfort; Hands down, most comfortable seats that I’ve sat in. Warmer weather oriented and has heated seats all around, heated windshield, and heated mirrors as standard. Suspension is butter smooth and interior is quiet with good tires. -Stylish Interior and Exterior; interior is luxurious and uses high quality materials. Entertainment features are tilted slightly towards driver and allow you to make decisions and hit buttons without having to look away from the road. Post-face lift model looks fantastic and eye catching and looks much better than the pre-face lift models in my opinion. The body panels feel sturdy and well built. -Performance and Fuel Economy; great performance and fuel economy for its class. I usually get around 17-19 city and 29-32 highway. It offers good economy for families and business workers that get to work via the highway. It can absolutely get up and move when you ask it to and can comfortably go 90-100+ with no issues. Cons: -Below average handling; the handling leaves a bit to be desired for the 2WD models. Definitely has quite a bit of understeer in the corners. It’s can also be a bit daunting to park due to its larger size. -Transmission bugs; the transmission is usually fairly smooth but tends to jolt when downshifting and when starting from a rest. From what I understand this is a common problem with Aisin transmissions of this era and can be fixed with a software update from Volvo. -Interior space; as with most sedans, the rear seats leave room to be desired. Most passengers will struggle with leg room. Trunk space is fine for airport trips, grocery runs, and light road tripping but is unsuitable for most moving and heavy lifting jobs. The Ugly: -Reliability; although this car has never broken down, left me stranded, or even had as much of a check engine light, the biggest killer is the oil consumption problem.This can cause a range of silent killers that usually don’t show up until they are catastrophic. The inline-5 engine in particular is greatly affected and is due to the lower oil control ring on the pistons to become clogged. This usually leads to the engine burning about a quart every 1K miles. This is not an easy fix and will require an engine rebuild. Volvo may offer an extended warranty for this problem but without a perfectly documented service record this service costs $5K. -Not DIY friendly (sometimes); for an at home mechanic, some tasks can be quite difficult to accomplish without special tools from Volvo. Standard issues like oil changes, brakes, and lights are easily accessible and straightforward to accomplish. More complicated issues such as suspension maintenance, coolant services, accessory belt maintenance, and problems related to the turbo can be difficult considering the complex nature of the car. Maintenance manuals are near impossible to find for free, however Volvo does offer a (pricey) subscription service to their in shop maintenance software. In summary, the 2014 Volvo S60 is a fantastic car for a competent car enthusiast who knows how to work on cars. Maintenance tends to be on the heavy side and weekly oil level checks are a MUST. This car is definitely not for anyone who doesn’t know much about cars or for someone who knows a trusty mechanic. It’s sporty, comfortable, reliable and safe if you know what you’re getting yourself into. Hope this helps!

Drove a 240 DL for 15 years and sold it, but it was still running with over 150,000 miles (which is not all that high of mileage for that car). Drove a Buick and it had transmission problems at less than 30,000 miles. Came back to Volvo and I expect this 4-1/2 year old car to take me well into the 2020s. This is a fun, sleek, modern ride and I LOVE IT!!!

This is a fast car with great all wheel drive system. So comfortable you can do 8 hrs easily. Sound system is great and steering wheel controls make cruising a joy. Power moon roof lets the perfect amount of air and light in for a wind in your hair feel. This car is not slow. Its straight 6 with turbo power has this a sleeper car for sure. If you opt for the polestar software upgrade for 1500.00. Youll make that a lively 350hp and 350lb ft. That mated with an impressive all wheel drive system its get up, pull your dress up and does a full haul to 60 in low 5 sec range. This is a great daily driver. Ive had my 2012 volvo s60 t6 in black for 3 yrs and just fall in love more and more with it everytime i drive it. I just did a rolling 40mph with a newer Camaro rs with the v6 which is 330 or so hp and was over 1 car length in front! She rolls out!!

I brought my 2002 v70 T5 back in 2012 for only 2k with 120,000 in the clock. I still have the now with 240,000 on the clock. The only thing I have had to fork out in is the new pencil coil packs, other than that all I do is give it a service once a year. It has been a good trusty car. Plus the power is great!

Bought New, firsts 80,000 mile on the highway to NC, San Antonio, New Orleans, Memphis. Like being in my living room lazy boy. Sturdy ride. No major problems. Maintenance on schedule. On my second set of tires. Second set brakes. It's a highway vehicle for sure. Quick precise steering. It's a keeper so far. Two minor repairs. Brake pedal sensor. Can't remember the other thing.

We happened upon a 2003 T-6 XC90 three years ago, while shopping for a used commuter car for my husband. Just for fun we test drove it, and loved it. We ended up buying it to replace my 2001 Mazda Tribute 4x4. We did have some repairs we needed to do, such as replace a few broken exterior door handles (the plastic components don't hold up well to the cold CO winters), the CV boots, and the coolant reservoir in the 3 years that we owned it. Other than that, we only had typical maintenance, such as tire replacement and oil changes. One of the reasons we purchased it was because of the high safety ratings. That paid off last week, when another driver, in an attempt to pass up stopped traffic, entered the left passing lane and struck me from the side while I was attempting to turn left. The driver was distracted and driving recklessly. She did not engage in any evasive maneuvers, as her distractions resulted in her not seeing my "big black tank" in front of her. Despite being hit by a car going quite fast, and despite the fact that my car was deemed a "total loss," to the surprise of the EMTs, witnesses, and police officers, I walked away with only minor injuries (bruised finger, sprained thumb, and whiplash). They arrived at the scene expecting to rush me to the ER. I walked away from that accident. One EMT exclaimed, "I might be in the market for a Volvo now." I replied, "me too." The safety that my XC90 provided me was well worth the price we paid for it. In the end, the insurance company estimated the pre-accident condition to be $1000 MORE than what we paid for the vehicle 3 years ago. Today, we are heading out to purchase another XC90. This time, it is a 2006 V8. I'm not sure why used Volvos are so affordable, but I am grateful, because even at nearly 14 years old, my 2003 was built safe enough to save my life.

I have owned lots of suvs and own a BMW 328i sedan as well. I have owned a Volvo s40 sedan when I was younger. I needed something with AWD, so I considered another boring suv but liking a more sporty car like appearance I got the xc70. I have a 2006 model with 43,000 miles. I have a roof rack on it and a cage. I can put my bikes on top or in the back. It’s awesome in the snow. Good for pets in the back with an optional net or cage you can buy from Volvo. Love this wagon. It’s utilitarian and gets most stuff done. I plan on keeping this Volvo as a “lifer” while owning another sedan. Plus this generation was the last to be truly Swedish as in built there I believe. Great vehicle.

We bought a used 2011 Volvo XC90 (170K mls.) for our teenagers and are very pleased with conditions of the exterior, comfort of the ride and power of the car. The previous owners did a good job at keeping up with the maintenance and had new tires recently added before they sold it. We did have to address some repairs within a few weeks but it was to be expected. Very solid car with a great reputation for safety.
