built like a mini military tank with style and performance I have an 18 year old car (2005 model S40 with manual trans) and its just amazing Those years this was imported from Sweden as a competition to the BMS 328 series....but they couldn't beat the bimmer and in due course of time they stopped importing. I would call it an European Toyota

We bought our XC-60 new and it has been the best car I’ve ever had. It’s a sturdy vehicle with a nice stable ride. We have had no significant mechanical issues. It can haul quite a bit of stuff with the seats down. The height and weight of the car are perfect and create a great blend of performance and safety. Still feels the same as when new, which is amazing.

I have been searching for a car for roughly a week or little more. A few other dealerships were misleading with their inventory and general information about the vehicles they did have. THAT IS NOT THE ISSUE HERE!!! They were completely transparent and honestly a pleasure to do business with. This car is enjoyable to own and drive. It is very powerful, don't really that much on-road power difference between it and the T5 version which I also have one of. I f anything the naturally aspirated S40i seems to go better at high rpms and just about as well at lower ones. The drawback to these cars is their engine crankcase fume system which will have an eventual issue that requires it's complete replacement at about a thousand dollars. This occurs at about 100,000 miles. Also the alternator (a Ford/Mazda product) will probably also need replacing at these miles, as will the starter motor/solonoid. This has been my personal experience. Another issue are the 'green' rubber suspension bushes which like Mercedes ones also, will require renewal at about 100,000 miles. This is also not inexpensive to do to fit new front and rear suspension arms and control rods. So, in summary, a LOVELY car, BUT, an expensive one to keep on the road after a few years..!

My compute was easily 20,000 miles a year. I purchased the car used, it’s a very comfortable vehicle. Great in the rain and snow. Around 150,00 miles the AWD malfunction light appeared on the dash, the car still ran well so at that point it’s a fancy V70. At 160,000 miles the on board computer had to be replaced, that was expensive. At 181,000 miles the check engine light appeared on the dash and that turned out to be a spark plug coil problem. The sunroof drain plugs need to cleaned at least once a year if not garaged. Heading for 200,000 miles, I going to drive it until it drops.

My '95 volvo wagon 850 is tops. Love everything about it. Hoping it lasts for a million miles. Never had such a great car. I see why it's called a ' flying brick'. I highly recommend it. Best ride ever.
