I’m a pain in the SS to deal with and I wrote my own rules to the deal. The excepted the terms no problem. I had to call them on a repair, they didn’t blink and said being it in. I’m on my way and I fully expect them to be as classy about it as they were with the whole process. Everyone there not just my sales rep who was great and very courteous too.

Head Light control can not be seen on the column at night. Stock tires were horrible. I switched to yokohama's. The rims design in terrible. There is a space behind the spokes which allows for dirt and brake dust to build up. Difficult to give a finished look when detailing. Plus I can't use the GPS. NOT convenient to communicate with. Engine noise is disturbing. Biggest thing is the TPM. Would prefer it to actually read the psi of each tire. Raises your anxiety not knowing the true pressure.

At a different Volvo dealership, my car was sitting waiting for service from the 13th. Prestige Volvo kept giving me extended wait times despite me calling to get a rough lead time before getting my car towed there. On the 29th I ran out of patience. Smythe and a few other Volvo dealerships have told me that they can see it on the same day or next if I get it towed there. I've had a good experience at Smythe with my old 99 S80, so I chose them. My car was seen the same day. The difference in service was night and day. I received a digital sign off on the work to be done, along with a video of things to look out for. I couldn't believe it. Meanwhile, I would probably still be waiting around for my car to be seen at the other dealership. I don't know what their issue was, and it no longer matters. I won't be back there ever. I've been purchasing & driving Volvos since '95. Our 1st, a 850GLT sedan, & then the S70 for my wife & S80 for myself. We traded her S70 for the '11 XC60. It's been a great change for her. She's petite and loves sitting up higher than the S70 and enjoys the added confidence of AWD. Fuel economy is within a acceptable range for this solid crossover. She has been trading every 7-8yrs or hitting 120Kmi. We just traded for a new '19 XC60 and love it thus far. She works from home now so she's driving much less, so I expect we'll have the new '19 XC60 longer than in the past. As for the '11, it's a very comfortable car and it's great in all types of weather. Smooth quiet ride, regular maintenance makes for longevity and reliability assurance. Our largest expense was new tires at 60Kmi along with new brake pads on all 4 corners. Have driven to St Pete Beach from NY Adirondacks every Oct. & Apr. for 2wks and found road trips to be comfortable and great 360° views in traffic and parking lots. Would buy another of same generation or the next generation XC60 that arrived for the 2018 model year. Can't beat the quality of safety history that remains stellar. Have recommended both generations to friends and coworkers.

This is my first Volvo and although it took a while to get familiar with the controls, I love it! The side and rearview mirrors, warning sounds and lights have taken care of blind spots that are usual in a larger SUV, and have prevented accidents. The ride is still so smooth after 3 years, I can easily read a book on long trips. The front and rear seat adjustments allow everyone to be comfortable. We are glad for the bumper to bumper 5 year coverage we bought at purchase, and they immediately fixed any minor problems we've had over the last 3 years.

William’s knowledge about the various car models and features was impressive. He patiently answered all my questions and provided detailed explanations, ensuring I felt confident about my choices. There was absolutely no pressure to rush into a decision, which I truly appreciated.

Jehovani is a great worker who doesnt try to scam or bs customers with any shady antics. I appreciate his honesty and service towards my sale. I love my volvo. I have one that is fully loaded, and it is so luxe and fun to drive. The turbo makes it literally zoomier than my husband's mustang, but it can also go all day without any gas at all if I need to use it in pure mode.

I have driven Volvos for a very long time. My 2002 V70XC was my absolute favorite. I just donated it. My first impression was the dealer and I went with one closest to my home. My big mistake. THE CAR - for an SUV the seats sit very low and are not very adjustable. The gear shift functionality is very difficult to get used to - and all the alarms. Being a mechanical engineer, I liked, no, loved the older Volvos for their functionality and interior space. The XC60 has very little cargo space. There are too many bells and whistles you need to QR scan the visor for the manual! The mpg are pitiful - I am getting maybe 15 mpg, with little pick up- the 4 liter engine is not as good as the predecessors. I was worried about the no "cold weather package" - all volvos anywhere have the same battery and the sales guy had no idea what cold cranking meant. HOWEVER, I must say when we had an ice storm and the car was a solid piece of ice the doors opened and the car started right up. BUT it did take 30 minutes + to warm up the windshield to get rid of the ice. AND my hands were so cold trying to scrape the ice off - they were too cold for the display to read my touch! The sales rep was so proud of the heated windshield wipers (?) -I prefer being able to raise the wipers during a snow storm. Here you have to put the wipers in maintenance mode and then move them out. Too many steps to get basics done (and have warm hands). I also can't stand the smudged touch screen from all the swiping and touching. Just looks dirty. BTW don't buy accessories from the dealer. I wanted rails for the top and they were asking $800 list but I could get them for $500. You can buy them from amazon or Volvo direct for $200. It's a Volvo and I have high expectations. I think it is an expensive car and I have not owned it long enough to determine value.

Great car. I compare it with a high-end Mercedes that I own, Volvo is generally better built, more comfortable especially on extra long trips, quieter on the road, and intuitive in most use cases. The Bowers and Wilkins sound system is definitely superior to anything I’ve heard in high-end vehicles. The interior design is minimalistic, and the car lacks the prestige that comes with the price. From a reliability stand point, it has never put us down, and has almost completely overcome the early Goole system glitches.

They Took Care of Us My husband and I can't say enough kind things about Volvo Cars Glen Cove. The entire team (sales, service, finance, and management) went above and beyond to help us bring home our certified pre-owned vehicle. Our story is, in many ways, out of the ordinary. We live out of state and found our dream Volvo on their website by chance. The sales associate (Jonathan) was responsive and energized. He even hosted a video call where he showed us the car in detail. When an issue came up with the vehicle after we had flown to NYC to pick it up, Kristin Hendrick, personally assisted us and made what could have been a difficult situation easy to understand. Her kindness and willingness to help was extraordinary. The service department was prompt and helpful and Deron in Finance was a pleasure to work with--answering questions about our new warranty and out-of-state registration. Volvo Cars Glen Cove took care of us and we would do business with them again.

Can't say enough about Kyle and the overall experience at Smythe. We had just come off a horrific experience at another dealer (two bad experiences, actually). We were so turned off. But we found this beautiful Audi at Smythe and decided to give it another go. My wife stopped in and met Kyle. He was terrific from the start. All she did was want to see it before the two of us went back. There was no pressure, no "sales-pitch" or anything. Just a nice guy who listened to my wife and her auto buying needs. We went back that night, test drove the car, talked with Kyle (again, "talked", no pressure). He took the time to answer to every question we had and explained everything in detail. It was more of a conversation than a sales transaction. We explained what we were looking for, in terms of deal (money down, monthly payment, etc.). Kyle introduced us to Abood, helped us explain exactly what we were looking for and we were told "No problem. We hear you and will do our best. If it doesn't turn out to be the deal you are looking for, no worries, but we'll call you in the morning." Next day, my wife got the call and the deal we talked about the night before was they deal made happen. No sweat, no stress, no anxiety. We walked in later that afternoon. Car was prepped, big red bow on it, papers ready to sign, and my wife as out of there in under an hour. THANK YOU Kyle, Abood, William (our delivery specialist) and everyone at Smythe. THIS PLACE is our new and only place to go for a car and we will tell everyone!

My 2020 Volvo S90 Inscription came loaded with every available option and I had the dealership install the Polestar software increasing the horsepower and tightening the suspension making this car an absolute joy to drive. The S90 replaced my 4-year old S550 and trumps the Benz in just about every category with the exception of price, perceived status, and cost of ownership and this is coming from someone who has owned no fewer than 19 M-B’s including 11 S and SL class. The S90 seems to be a rare bird and a well-kept secret as I see so few of them in Connecticut. I set out to purchase the new Genesis and even test drove a new 7-series, but when the dust settled, the S90 offered everything that I was looking for in a full size sedan with absolutely no compromise. No one can rival the comfort of a Volvo seat and when paired with the concert level Bowers and Wilkins sound system often finds me taking the long route home. It’s that nice!

My husband and I have owned Volvos exclusively for the last 35 years. We've been dealing with the Glen Cove dealership in the past 4 1/2 years and found the service to be excellent. It appears that post-COVID there has been a great deal to be desired. That being said the new manager, Vito, has been informative, patient and most willing to answer my questions and resolve the challenges that this dealership has faced. I am confident that he will be the person to bring back the dealership to its place of excellence.

Just crossed two years and 25,000 miles. LOVE this car. The Google infotainment is well-designed and super easy to access and use. There are redundant options for navigation and I believe the instrument cluster is one of the cleanest and best I've experienced. I have the B5 AWD and acceleration and go is very quick and the car rides effortlessly. The lane keeping and lane centering and semi-autonomous driving on major roads is unobtrustive and quite pleasant. I drove six hours in a rainstorm and the car was more effective at tracking the lane markers than I was. Handling could maybe be more sporty. The 2nd row is very comfortable too. Outside of some early infotainment gremlins that first six months from the new Google system, zero issues of any kind.

I have been at other dealers on the West Coast and Midwest , but I can honestly say that Smyth has been the very best. Doug, one of the service advisors was on top of what my Volvo needed to educating me as to what I should & shouldn’t do. My Volvo runs perfectly. Thank you Paul and Smyth. You are great.
