We are unabashed fans of station wagons built on sport sedan platforms, and we are distressed to see this best-of-all-worlds configuration disappearing from the US market, even though it remains deservedly popular in Europe. We bought a 2016 Sportwagen one year ago; our other car is a 2001 VW Passat wagon, which we plan to keep running as long as we reasonably can. The Sportwagen excels on fuel efficiency, handles very well, and offers more-than-adequate performance. Although it is almost as large outside as the Passat, it offers noticeably less usable cargo volume, albeit still sufficient for most purposes. Sideward and rearward visibility are better than average, but no match for the Passat wagon, which is almost unbeatable in this category. Styling is elegantly clean, simple, and timeless. We have had no problems yet, and we happily note that the engine has a generous 6 qt. oil capacity, versus the Passat's 3.7 qts., which I expand to 4.25 by using an oversized Mann oil filter. The larger oil capacity should reduce the incidence of infamous oil "sludge" (technically, baked-on coke). German cars offer a superb driving experience, but they need to be maintained fastidiously; they do not thrive on neglect the way a Toyota might.

Each year, we’re saving $6,000–$7,000 combined on fuel and maintenance compared to when we drove gasoline cars. We get about 250-300 miles of range depending on heat and AC use. We bought them used around $20k each, had batteries replaced in 2020 so 100,000 mile warranty, can't beat it! Charging at Home Is Simple, either use 110v and charge overnight or upgrade 220v dryer plug We picked up a Level 2 home charger for about $150 on Amazon. Installing and running it is as simple as hooking up clothes dryer. The charger just uses a standard 240V outlet, and the energy demand is nothing unusual for a typical household. Pulls same amount of power as microwave or toaster oven. Maintenance Savings Beyond the fuel savings, the Bolt EVs don’t need oil changes, transmission services, or exhaust system repairs. Brake wear is minimal thanks to regenerative braking. For us, the maintenance costs dropped to little more than tire rotations (free at Discount Tire), washer fluid and cabin air filters. Bought my Crosstrek from the dealer, and have owned many cars, raced cars, built cars, and even owned my own auto repair shop. The 2013 was first year out, and yes it has improved over the years so I can't leave a 5-star review. The strong points for me have been reliability and looks. Secondary has been a 4cyl with great gas mileage, and decent performance. Interior noise is a little higher than an SUV like a 4Runner, sound system sucks, and Subaru probably should have mated it with a turbo, but overall it has been a great ride, and Subaru fixed many of these issues in later editions. The AWD is amazing in the rain! For those that have the oil consumption in later years, just add engine "restore", and the issue is solved. Replace your bearing w/ the backing plates, and you should be good to go for another 100K. For the first year out, Subaru did an amazing job.

Found this well maintained single owner 2005 V50 Sport two months ago at a great price and I love it. Ive been searching for a car that fit my lifestyle that was safe, comfortable, economical and with all the extras still working like a sunroof and power accessories. This car meets and exceeds the demands for a pre-owned Volvo through a dealership but was purchased from the original owner. I bought it to replace my 2004 XC70 after it was rear ended by a driver texting and will be used mainly for quick errand trips around town and short weekend trips to the mountains. What I like about this car is it's a compact wagon that has almost as much room as the XC70 and does not sacrifice style, comfort or features for it's size. The V50 gets a little better gas mileage than the XC70 with an average 23 street and 33 highway. A fill up of a little over 15 gallons of gas gives me an expected 400 miles to the tank. I love the floating console with a little cubby behind it that's a great place to store your phone while driving. The interior layout, dash, doors and leather seats are the exact same as my Son's 2006 S40 T5. This model is FWD and handles corners great with a smooth ride over bumps. Just because it's small and compact doesn't mean it lacks in delivery of other areas. The V50 still has all the attention to detail you can expect from Volvo like a working directional compass in the rearview mirror. It's roomy enough for lots of groceries or for a quick weekend getaway for two along with luggage, medium size cooler and the dog in the backseat. I like the cargo area grocery sack holders and pull over tonneau cover that shields and hides my packages from the sun along with the extra room from a fold down backseat. Also, there's a seperate backseat charging port with a mini console that opens from the backside of the seat with cup holders where a car seat could be secured in the middle. I am short at 5'4" and it's easy for me to get in and out of the front after hip surgery last year. This car fits my small statue perfectly and accommodates my Husband's tall 6'4" frame comfortably in the driver's or passenger side as well. The cost for tags taxes and insurance are really affordable on this age Volvo. My car has no prior accidents, was well maintained and came with the original window sticker and Owners Manual. Window sticker cost was $29,993.00. I feel like I stole it for less than one tenth of it's original price with 162k miles on it. The only things I don't like about it is the front seat cup holders are not deep enough to secure a larger sized bottle of water from flipping and there is no Bluetooth.

I’m now on year 12 of owning this car. Hands down, it’s the best car I’ve ever owned. It’s reliable and has required very little maintenance. My Honda costs me a lot more to maintain than this car. It’s over 100k miles and still going strong. Plus, the resale on this car is impressive! This was my first Infiniti and certainly won’t be the last.

We bought a used 2019 a month ago. I wasn't aware of these. As I researched a replacement for my wife's GMC Terrain, I learned about all of the bad CVT transmissions and oil burning engines in that class. Happened on a used Alltrack for sale at a dealer and as I researched the dsg transmission and looked up reviews - I was pretty excited by what I read. We have taken in on one 6-hour trip through the mountains and several 3-hour family visits. I love driving it. Probably my favorite car I have driven other than my old 2000 Volvo S70. It seems to be very well built. It is insanely quiet on the road and it has great acceleration. We travel with two kids and two dogs and it zips right up mountain passes, rarely cracking 3k rpm. I wish we had about 2 more inches in the trunk for our kennel, but it is a large space. I am anxious to try the AWD in some Montana snow this winter. Sadly its my wife's driver, but I get to drive it on trip!

I received a loner vehicle while my 2014 ES 350 Mark Jacobson Lexus stayed overnite at Chantilly. I woke up today January 24 full of brightness started my loaner Lexus and off we went. I did one errand and was prepared to return the loaner. Engine refused to turn over. Called my Lexus service rep Hetty Stoner and turned me over to Lexus Roadside Assistance. Came with in 45 minutes and off we went to Chantilly. Constructive tips- please give a loaner with at least half tank of gas and inform customer as to start up procedure in every loaner vehicle. Weather permitting make sure all loaners have been cleaned and washed for eye candy effect. First cabin not log cabin. I love Pohanka Lexus. I normally buy cars from Porsche, Mercedes and Audi and own several SUVs and sports cars from theses mfrs. I did not want another SUV but wanted the utility and comfort in a sedan sized vehicle. I saw a V60 on the road and thought it was very stylish. I confess to being a fan of station wagons and owned Volvo wagons back in the 80’s and always found them to be safe, practical but dull and under-powered. I was hesitant to test drive one asking myself “ how much change could they have designed into their four cylinder engines.” Within the first 5 minutes of the test drive I thought WOW! What a difference! Decent power. Great ride quality that is at least comparable to my Mercedes wagon and extremely comfortable seats. Build quality equal to or better than my Mercedes and a great price in comparison. I bought it and, so far, think it was a great decision. I also like the fact I don’t see lots of them so it has a unique presence.p on the road. I would call it “ruggedly stylish” like a well broken-in suede sports coat. The pine gray exterior color combined with the the chestnut colored leather interior is gorgeous. Most of my cars are black or dark silver so this color combo really stands out. I’ve received compliments from people about the color and style of the car which I don’t often get in my Mercedes or Audi. Can’t wait to take it on a road trip!

I am buying a used car after 8 years, and this was great experience. No haggle is what I care. I was not forced to buy GAP insurance or anything else. The only complaint is, the lady taking down payment at the cashier was hesitant to tell me the details of the transactions before making a payment and showing attitude, but everyone else was great. I highly recommend this carmax.

I think for the most part, I like my car. I have had a couple issues, one of them is probably not the cars fault, (but seeing other people have the same issue, it makes me wonder) I now have 50k miles on it and in that time I have only had to replace the battery and tires, to be expected on a 6 year old car. (and windshield) The windshield is the questionable item. It seemed to crack out of nowhere and I thought I must have gotten a small rock chip while driving down the highway and just didn't see it until it started to crack. So I replaced it at a cost of almost $1000. However, I am on an Outback form and it seems to be a common complaint with outback owners of this year, having the windshield crack out of nowhere. Could it be the frame design? Maybe, but it does seem suspicious that others have had the same issue. One other problem I have had is if I let my car sit unused for like 5 days, the battery goes completely dead. There seems to be a parasitic drain somewhere on the car. It doesn't happen if I drive it every day, but if it sits for about 5 days unused, the battery goes completely dead. I have read it has something to do with the DCS system in the car, but you have to pay the dealer a diagnostic fee to verify. I drive it enough I have not gotten it checked, but next time I am at the dealer I am going to ask them about it.

The dealer determined the car needed expensive work so they took the vehicle to auction. There was no other car I was interested in. The dealership stayed in consistent contact with me to keep me up to date.
