A lot of these cars have high mileage but are inspected for at least 2-3 years so i'm sure if theirs any issue you'll have time to fix it. However they can be a bit pricey and overcharge so check kelly blue book to make sure your getting a good deal.

Our Rouge has a sunroof. In Spring pollen collects around sunroof and clogs hoses which causes water to leak onto passenger seat. A LOT of water we have had to get it to nclogged several times It is rather frustrating Is this a recall situation?

We bought our car from Balise in Rhode Island. But we live in Wisconsin. Other dealerships in Milwaukee were dismissive. A few of the dealers in Chicago told us they had the exact car we wanted but then it was mysteriously sold before we could reserve it. Adams and Fabian are extraordinary. If we decide to get another VW, we're inclined to work with Balise, and we will absolutely reach out to Adams and Fabian in the future. Purchased used S 5-speed manual with 33,000 miles on it about four years back. Just passed 100,000 miles last month. Only one problem so far, with the passenger door latch assembly. We get about 37 MPG mixed city and highway, and 45-50 MPG in interstate highway driving. FWD and snow tires work fine here in Wisconsin. The turbo motor and 5-speed provide all of the acceleration one will *actually* need, and also provide those great economy numbers. As part of the Golf platform, it's a solid car and the handling is good. The ride comfort is also good, maybe enhanced by the taller 16" tires on the S version. Simple controls, without an overly complicated radio / info system. Manual ventilation controls (knobs) are a huge plus. With the rear seats down, it has about the same cargo space as our 2009 Subaru Outback: little narrower but also a little longer. Good outward visibility. Driver seat can get a little tiring after a long drive (4 hours or more) but it's comparable with other highway vehicles we've owned. Reasonably quiet inside considering it's essentially an economy vehicle. A very nice economy vehicle, though. We like it enough that we're considering getting another one before there are no more good wagons in the market.

Service was excellent, very helpful salesperson (Matt Bouchard) and finance person. I was surprised how much the salesperson helped, contacting insurance and even connecting my cell phone to car system:screen for me.

The front seats are awful, I'll never understand why GM decided to save $20 in exchange for a terrible reputation. The headrests are bent forward so that slacker drivers who don't want to sit up and pay attention won't hurt their necks in an accident. The infotainment system was programmed by an imbecile who REALLY wants you to listen to the radio. POP-UP ADS ON RADIOS SHOULD BE OUTLAWED. The rear cargo area has no anchors or tie-down loops.. pretty absurd on a $30,000 car. Putting this grocery getter on a set of 17 inch rims was possibly the dumbest trendy thing ever, it rides like a 90s Honda Civic with the springs cut. Fortunately the majority of these things can be pretty easily fixed. Get a set of 15-in rims off of a Chevy Sonic and put 215/65r15s on it to massively improve the ride comfort, straighten the headrest legs with a vise or a sledgehammer, put some elastomeric cushions underneath the stock seat foam, get some round tie down anchors off Amazon, the round ones fit perfectly in the circular indentions in the rear cargo area and grab the spare donut out of a Buick Encore in the junkyard, it fits perfectly under the subfloor. I solved all these problems in a weekend once I gathered up the tools and parts. There's nothing special about the bolt, everything everyone likes about it applies to every electric vehicle but the bolt does have one big advantage over everything else, availability. It's more widely available than any other EV, especially one in this price range. I would definitely buy the car again, no regrets.
