I went from a Minivan to A BMW and will never go back. My son bought me one It was about 8 years oldIt did start to have problems after about 5 years. Of course it's a 10 year old Car and problems were awaiting. I would buy a new one to make sure they Would be more reliable for me as a single woman driver so that I would not need repairs in the near future. I'm getting rid of mine and buying a newer model. I brought my 2002 v70 T5 back in 2012 for only 2k with 120,000 in the clock. I still have the now with 240,000 on the clock. The only thing I have had to fork out in is the new pencil coil packs, other than that all I do is give it a service once a year. It has been a good trusty car. Plus the power is great!

My Scion Xb is 12 now and acts like the champ it was in 2011. It was a lease car so I don't know how it was treated day to day. Yes, the milage was a little high. The paint job is something to see also. It's metallic amethyst (purple). I got it for 12k because of it's history. It was also a dealers online bate car. I love it all around. No major problems in 12 years.

I see another reviewer here bought their xB in 2006 as well. This has been a very reliable car for me. I want get all the maintenance issues out of the way first. I have had to replace the camshaft gears, the blower motor fan for the A/C 6 times, the catalytic converter twice, ingnition coils, front windshield 3 times (one time reimbursed through Scion owner settlement), water pump, starter, and cold air intake system. Those were the most significant, and expected after 19 years of ownership. I have seen on other sights that the car burns oil, and as my car got older, it does. I have to replace oil usually twice in between oil changes. The only 2 issues I have not addressed is the front end suspension and the audio system. It was never the smoothest riding vehicle from the beginning, but now the MacPherson struts are shot making for a rough ride over the smallest bumps in the road. If anyone has ever ridden surface streets in and around downtown Atlanta, they can attest to the rough streets and the wear and tear down to your vehicle. The factory radio speakers are blown. They didn't do well at high volumes. I still can listen to music with little bass at moderate volumes--works for me. However, after all that, the maintenance for my Scion has been spaced out and reasonably priced. From the first oil change, I decided to take this vehicle to the dealership for repairs, however I highly recommend relying upon your own maintenance preferences. With some costly repairs, I reached out to other mechanics. Back to the Scion...other than the usual oil change, wiper blade changes, filter changes, brake repair, and tire replacements, the overall maintenance cost in a yearly basis is low. I enjoy the gas mileage, the interior room (although I would like more driver legroom), the lasting CD player, the lasting hydraulics for the rear door (showing my age), maneuverability, engine power at lower speeds, and slow depreciation over the years. This car has been the longest lasting car I've ever had and has outlasted cars of friends, coworkers, and family.

I like horse power but I don't want to give up reliability. My 2012 9.0 RS Scion xB fits the bill. ( By the way they only come in Hot Lava color ) Bought it two years ago, and since then it's never failed to start & run. I always keep it well maintained, and I've had three dealerships offer to buy it from me, ( so they can sell it for thousands more) it has 135k miles which is just breaking a Toyota/Scion in. My only complaint is: I wish Toyota put in the 180hp 2.5 Camry motor in it - it has the 2.4 158hp motor stock. I can chirp the tires off the line, it's so quick down low, but mid range and up high its average. Lord Willing I plan on keeping it. Next car will be as reliable and a little faster. Hard to find anything better than the xB in that regard..

Own it since 2005 and not going to sell it and you know why, Magnum never had good reviews - muscle car from the past. I purchased Magnum RT 2WD right at the beginning, classic rear wheel drive, you need some skills to drive in the winter, not for hot coco, coloring books crowd. Last great American station wagon

Make sure you check which engine you have in this car. There was a lawsuit about the piston rings being bad. To have another engine put in is 7.4k to 8.5k.

I LOVE this car! Voted the most durable car and safest as well. I can totally attest to that ! I was hit by a semitruck going about 15 to 20 miles an hour in inclement weather ,! This impact only left two imprints from his tags and a slightly cracked tail light. WOW. Literally his grill covered my entire back window. OMG

I bought this wagon used with 95k miles, love everything about this vehicle except when some things go wrong or breaks. It's the small electronic parts, or seat switches that get you. I think about selling it because I have too many vehicles, then I drive it, and can't get ride of it. It is a beautiful classy gliding machine!

So spacious. This is the only car I have ever owned that has allowed the option for THAT MUCH driver leg room. It feels a bit heavy around turns compared to my civic si coupe (as it should) but the Quattro really makes you feel super planted around all turns. Snow? Lol... unless we’re talking a three foot depth this car has no issues. Turbo charger... uhhh yeah! Love it (even as an adult) with the 7 speed dual clutch trans its not hard to keep this car outside of the boost range and receive rediculous fuel consumption ratios but if you want... take it to 3000 rpm or greater and you will feel that rush from the boost. What a fun and practical car. I think I’ll buy another! :)

Left the Bay Area to find a good deal in Roseville and found a great one on a 2016 Honda Civic! From 12-5, I spent so much time talking to these sincerely nice guys, Murray, Ronnie, Miguel, the guy at the mid-range and affordable lot, and the finance guy. You can just tell there’s a business here that is run well where everyone respects each other and then treats the customer with kindness and respect. Great car drive and also great to haul just about anything Small to mid sized since the back seats fold all the way down. And it gets good Gas MPG as well.
