This is a terrific car for someone who wants a reliable, economical car that's great in snow and ice, and gets excellent gas milage. To help maximize your mpg just watch the dashboard meter that tells you when you're getting the best mpg possible. If you're not (like the reviewer who said he got only 18 mpg) then you're driving too fast and you can't blame the car for that! I love my Subaru!

Bought our first XC70, a 2006 AWD with 185,000 miles. Now with 265,000, only routine maintenance and rear axle control unit repair. Got our second XC70, a 2016 FWD with with 180,000. Now has 203,000, and we pull a 3300# camping trailer with it. Again only routine maintenance. Neither of these cars burns any synthetic engine oil between 5,000 mile changes. I also drain and refill the transmission sump at the same time. I fully expect these cars to last to 300,000 and beyond. These cars are a perfect combination of safety, comfort, durability, style and power. After going airborne and inverted at 55 in an 82 240 wagon--the victims of an idiot--we were delighted to have survived with only whiplash injuries. The roof stayed right there. Equally delighted and impressed that the president of Volvo called the house thanking me for my letter and photos of the aftermath. He explained why they use the steel they do in roof frames. We've driven only Volvos since 1984, and will never drive anything else. We have five in our family.

The XC70 is an great all-around wagon. More versatile than a crossover with much better styling. I have the T6 turbo six-cylinder which is smooth and very torquey, though fuel economy is mediocre. All wheel drive works well and inspires confidence in foul weather. The ride is cushy and soft but handling can feel a bit floaty. Handsome and roomy interior that easily fits two car seats and.a booster, something that many crossovers can’t do. The front seats are the most comfortable I’ve ever sat in. Tech is pretty good— no Apple CarPlay but it’ll do everything else you need it to. Awesome car, I wish Volvo still made them.

Review: Living With 3 Chevy Bolt EVs for past 6 years Owning three Chevy Bolt EVs has been one of the smartest financial and practical decisions we’ve made. Each year, we’re saving $6,000–$7,000 combined on fuel and maintenance compared to when we drove gasoline cars. We get about 250-300 miles of range depending on heat and AC use. We bought them used around $20k each, had batteries replaced in 2020 so 100,000 mile warranty, can't beat it! Charging at Home Is Simple, either use 110v and charge overnight or upgrade 220v dryer plug We picked up a Level 2 home charger for about $150 on Amazon. Installing and running it is as simple as hooking up clothes dryer. The charger just uses a standard 240V outlet, and the energy demand is nothing unusual for a typical household. Pulls same amount of power as microwave or toaster oven. Real Cost to Charge Let’s run the math: Electric rate: $0.10 per kWh Efficiency: ~4.5 miles per kWh Monthly driving: 2,000 miles each car That works out to: 2,000 miles at 4.5miles/kW at 10cents/kW= $44/month So for just $44 a month, each Bolt drives 2,000 miles. Compare that to a gas car at 30 MPG and $3.50/gallon: 2,000 miles at 30MPG= 66.7gals times $3.50 = $233/month That’s nearly $190/month in savings per car, just on fuel. Multiply that by 3 cars and a full year, and the numbers quickly add up. Maintenance Savings Beyond the fuel savings, the Bolt EVs don’t need oil changes, transmission services, or exhaust system repairs. Brake wear is minimal thanks to regenerative braking. I purchased this vehicle used under Volvo's certified pre-owned program ("CPO"). It is the second time that I've done so. My 2007 2.5T V70 (wagon) has been incredibly reliable over the 8 years that I have owned it. I can't say enough good things about this car. I hope to drive it for years to come, especially given that Volvo no longer makes the V70 the way that it did in 2007. Even the sales and service folks at my dealership say to keep it, 'cause that don't make 'em like this anymore.' The vehicle has amazing handling, pick-up, curving ability, gets great gas mileage and and the weight of the vehicle makes me feel very safe. The only features that I'd like to have but don't are bluetooth, back-up camera and blind-spot indicators. Other than that, you can keep the newer Volvos! I am a Volvo "lifer" for sure.

The only possible issue someone might have with this vehicle is the initial cost. But, with the prestige edition, after driving this vehicle for a while, you will conclude that it is well worth the price. There are amenities that I have never seen before, e.g., electronic soft closures on all doors. Plus the performance, interior design and quality that you would expect in an Audi.

At a time when I was moving around two dogs and a cat, this car was an absolute must. It was a great value to start and even more so now that I use it as a second vehicle. The only maintenance I've done is the routine oil changes, etc. I expect to own it for another 10 years

I drove a Golf TSI for years and absolutely loved it. Never wanted drive a different car as long as Iived. Then I had a kid(which is is tight with a golf) and someone pulled out in front of me and it got totalled. I took the money and upgraded to the Alltrack because its basically the same car with more room and AWD. Absolutely love it! Gas mileage is significantly lower than my Golf, but it still has some zip. The DSG transmission is like butter. Ill drive this car into the ground.

I bought the car used from a non-Volvo dealer. I have not been driving much due to the pandemic, but a couple of computer glitches have arisen. I took the car into a Volvo dealer for service on the issue, thank goodness the car is still under warranty. The problem with the auto start-stop feature wasn't working, it was "fixed" but the problem has reoccurred intermittently. And now the side mirrors are not retracting upon shutdown... that isn't good.

They were very helpful in helpful in assisting me on purchasing a new car. Unfortunately, it was not the car deal I was look for at this time.

It's fun to drive, versatile with lots of storage space and has reasonably good gas mileage (36 hwy/24 city). It has an amazing turn radius. Somewhat noisy during highway driving and kind of deficient infotainment/safety features. But it's been reliable so far (100k miles). And did I mention fun to drive?
