I inherited this car from my family when I turned 16 and we’d already owned it for 5+ years. It came from VT and followed me down the coast to PA, where after years of loyal service, I gave it to a kid to take to college cross country in Texas. At the time she left I’d put more than 270,000 mi on, and it eagerly puttered right on off! Car was crazy durable and saw me through my learning to drive years as well as the harsh New England winters. Entire pieces would fall off sometimes, and I always figured I didn’t need them, because that little car just kept purring! Subys are great in snow and can go forever!

I have a tan 2005 Subaru Outback I got it 6 years ago for 6,000. now it’s at 178k miles. Did it really go up in value? or is this a brand new one? (Just had an issue - starter, replaced it - he said “clearly you take very good care of it, gonna in good shape for a long time now”)

My 2011 328i has just reached 223k miles. No timing chain replacement. Only oil changes and coolant flushes. Obviously break pads and rotors. It’s been amazing. Fun to drive although I get 22mpg average. As Long as you don’t touch it and don’t drive it like you stole it, you can count on it.

I bought this wagon used with 95k miles, love everything about this vehicle except when some things go wrong or breaks. It's the small electronic parts, or seat switches that get you. I think about selling it because I have too many vehicles, then I drive it, and can't get ride of it. It is a beautiful classy gliding machine!

Available models run through 2004, as it was dropped with the manual option from the US market. There are still several out there for sale and due to their quality, they are with purchasing. My compute was easily 20,000 miles a year. I purchased the car used, it’s a very comfortable vehicle. Great in the rain and snow. Around 150,00 miles the AWD malfunction light appeared on the dash, the car still ran well so at that point it’s a fancy V70. At 160,000 miles the on board computer had to be replaced, that was expensive. At 181,000 miles the check engine light appeared on the dash and that turned out to be a spark plug coil problem. The sunroof drain plugs need to cleaned at least once a year if not garaged. Heading for 200,000 miles, I going to drive it until it drops.
