I love Subaru, and I love the planet, so a Subaru Hybrid is my dream car. I test drove this one and am hoping to find a way to buy it.

I had no choice, my car of 20 years, which I bought brand new in 1999 was done. With so many websites ( I looked at several), I was not sure where to go. Then someone mentioned Car Max to me. I looked on line and saw a few cars I was interested in. The next weekend I drove to Colma to checked out and test drive a couple of cars. I decided to ask about Hybrids...you had 2. I test drove one of them and could not resist. I bought it. I was very impressed with the buying process. It was quick, easy and believe it or not relaxing since the sales person completed the paper work for me. Yes, I had to sign several sheets but that was a given. Something I was dreading for the past two years, was so surprisingly easy I couldn't believe it!!!

Perfect commuter car for my 75 mile roundtrip commute. Never had any battery problem and the car is perfect so far with 62000 miles. Electric is the way to go for longish regular trips.

Awesome car. Simply the most car you can buy for the $$$. Only short coming would be for a person without home charging since DC charging is not the fastest on the Bolt. If you took a VW Golf GTI and mashed it with an old school quite, cushy Cadillac and made it cheap to own and run like say a Prius you would have the Bolt.

I got the Prius V particularly because instead of an SUV or sporty crossover I wanted a bit more of a station wagon feel (not as big as a mini van) that would be long enough to put a bunk bed single mattress in the back (It is). I love the fuel economy and the extra size. I traded in my '06 Prius for this Prius V. I've only has it about 5 hours but think I'm going to love it! I love the Blizzard Pearl. Would have also been happy with Sea Glass Pearl....

Small but mighty. Best value EV for first and long term cost. Great acceleration and braking, especially when using Regen paddle. Nice GM incentive to pay for 220V garage charger as it is needed for overnight recharge. I bought the EV1 model since I didn't needed heated seats in Florida, but would have liked forward crash collision braking and side mirror lane changing warning. Overall, the Bolt EV is ideal for me.

I bought used in 2023 a 2015 premium with 214k miles. I drove it 6k miles and only replaced the CV axle, this isn't impressive sounding but it was going through constant , aggressive off reading due to the rough road conditions I had to use because I live in the rocky mountains. I got in a rollover a 60 mph and I had no injuries, airbags kept me safe. Fuel economy was dismal with 21 in the city and 24 in the highway, safety and reliability are top tier, power was surprisingly adequate, the Bluetooth was appreciated and all the safety tech and other tech was very useable and helpful and accurate. Love the car would buy it again if I had the chance

I went from owning a 2003 Monte Carlo SS to a 2017 Subaru Outback. It was worth every penny. My Subaru is not only reliable, functional, and cute; it also saved me from being injured in a bad crash. This past fall a six point buck hit my car head on and I never saw it coming. It was a fatal crash for the deer, but not for me. As heartbroken as I was to see my car crumpled on the front, I was so glad it wasn't me. It was a repairable fix and made me really appreciate my car.

We bought a used 2019 a month ago. I wasn't aware of these. As I researched a replacement for my wife's GMC Terrain, I learned about all of the bad CVT transmissions and oil burning engines in that class. Happened on a used Alltrack for sale at a dealer and as I researched the dsg transmission and looked up reviews - I was pretty excited by what I read. We have taken in on one 6-hour trip through the mountains and several 3-hour family visits. I love driving it. Probably my favorite car I have driven other than my old 2000 Volvo S70. It seems to be very well built. It is insanely quiet on the road and it has great acceleration. We travel with two kids and two dogs and it zips right up mountain passes, rarely cracking 3k rpm. I wish we had about 2 more inches in the trunk for our kennel, but it is a large space. I am anxious to try the AWD in some Montana snow this winter. Sadly its my wife's driver, but I get to drive it on trip!

We bought them used around $20k each, had batteries replaced in 2020 so 100,000 mile warranty, can't beat it! Charging at Home Is Simple, either use 110v and charge overnight or upgrade 220v dryer plug We picked up a Level 2 home charger for about $150 on Amazon. Installing and running it is as simple as hooking up clothes dryer. The charger just uses a standard 240V outlet, and the energy demand is nothing unusual for a typical household. Pulls same amount of power as microwave or toaster oven. Real Cost to Charge Let’s run the math: Electric rate: $0.10 per kWh Efficiency: ~4.5 miles per kWh Monthly driving: 2,000 miles each car That works out to: 2,000 miles at 4.5miles/kW at 10cents/kW= $44/month So for just $44 a month, each Bolt drives 2,000 miles. Compare that to a gas car at 30 MPG and $3.50/gallon: 2,000 miles at 30MPG= 66.7gals times $3.50 = $233/month That’s nearly $190/month in savings per car, just on fuel. Multiply that by 3 cars and a full year, and the numbers quickly add up. I've had my 2019 Bolt Premier for a month now and it's really a clever little vehicle. Nimble and fun to drive with lots of room (can fit two mt bikes in the back). Coming from a VW GTI I expected the Bolt to be a substantial step down, but it's not. Granted the GTI is leagues ahead in both interior and exterior build quality, but the Bolt is no slouch in terms of what a fun-sized EV hatch should be. With a low center of gravity, loads of "O" torque and a decent suspension, the Bolt doesn't embarrass itself while performing it's appointed tasks around town. Sure, the steering could benefit from taking a communications class and the brakes are less than linier but the single pedal driving dynamic is outstanding (I could seriously go on for a while regarding how intuitive the one pedal regen system is on the Bolt, kudos to GM for their work on this feature). The rest of the gripes about the Bolt (plastic interior, uncomfortable front seats, low res screens, odd styling) I think miss the mark regarding the sum of it's parts. At the end of the day, does the Bolt deliver a satisfying experience and leave you with a smile? Absolutely!

I decided it was time to "retire" our 2006 BMW M3 convertible as a second car and just keep it garaged until the sun comes out and we want a top down drive through the mountains of southwest Virginia. But my wife was not excited at the prospect of a 3rd vehicle that has no place in our retirement budget. I have been looking at EVs or plug-in hybrids but all were too expensive as a third vehicle and I had almost resigned to wait to replace our Honda Accord in a couple more years with a plug-in hybrid as range issues still bothered me with EVs (except perhaps Tesla, but didn't want a Muskmobile). When I found a Bolt Lt1 at a dealer who was willing to sell below MSRP and give me the $7500 tax rebate up front, the decision became extraordinarily simple. A brand new, pretty good electric vehicle with full warranty and a 250+ mile range for under $20K. Amazing. Likes: cheap, reasonably comfortable, lots of room for a small car, handles reasonably well, steering is good, one pedal driving is fantastic, electric motor smoothness/quiet, no gas! Chevy pays for some or all installation of a level 2 charger plug. Dislikes: In my 1LT trim, no heated seats, rake of front windshield causes "A" pillar to be in the way when making left hand turns. Just purchased the Bolt so can't speak to reliability issues. This is a perfect 2nd car. Use it for all your normal short/medium trips (most of most peoples' driving lives) and use no gas. Keep your older, larger car for road trips or when you need to carry adult passengers in back. Buy one while you can!

I've only had my Bolt LT for about a month, but I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase. It's a 2019 with less than 25,000 miles on it. It set me back $18.5k, but between rebates from Edison and federal tax credits I'm only out $13.5k. On top of that, because of the battery recall, it's got a brand-new battery (the part of an ev that wears out.) The Bolt is an awesome vehicle. It's small on the outside but large on the inside. I'm over 6 feet tall and I've got plenty of head and leg room. Most importantly, there's room in the cargo area for my 80 lb. Mastiff mix. If she's happy, I'm happy. The car is quiet and fast (0-60 under 7 seconds!). Visibility looking out is fantastic. I love the low beltline and large windows. The A.C. blows really cool- a definite plus living in Southern California. I had read a number of consumer reviews that complained about seat comfort. For me, it's not an issue, the seats are fine. Likewise, a number of reviewers had issue with the stock stereo system. Again, for me, the stereo sounds great. Of course, because it's electric, I won't miss paying $5+ a gallon for gas or waiting in line to pay for an oil change ever again.

The 2016 Subaru Outback is the first car I'd ever bought brand new, and I haven't been disappointed since it was purchased 7 years ago. It's very reliable, fun to drive, easy on gas, easy on maintenance and easy on the eyes. Will do it all over again when I make my next Subaru purchase!
